I am surprised how Chelsea managed to smuggle themselves into the best teams.
That was how I was surprised that at a time Cole Palmer became Balloon d'Or serious contender.
Now Chelsea is considered to be in the same height of performance with PSG, just because of one Club World Cup that Chelsea had all cheap fixtures till the finals?

I think they come through when expected to. That is one thing I really admire about Chelsea, when it matters most they get serious and stay focused on achieving their goals. Same characteristics puts them amongst the best teams in the world.

You just made a very valid point, they deliver well it matters the most. If someone had told me that Chelsea would win that match against PSG in that finals, I wouldn't believe. I would have even bet a fortune to prove my trust and assurance that PSG will deal with Chelsea and take home the cup, but we were all surprised on the outcome. I watched the game, I was there when cole Palmer was delivering, and it was a fantastic football from Chelsea, locking up every where and rendering PSG's attack system unproductive.

Even though Chelsea may be going through a bad season or moment now, they have there place in the recoyof bus teams, now and always. Real Madrid is not Rebuilding, they are alright even without the players that left the team. Apart from the fact that Real Madrid couldn't win a trophy last season but they weren't backward. The core players that left the team were very much productive but Real Madrid also have great replacement that helped them maintain a good performance and they will do greater than last season since they have already won their first 2 games in the UCL, it means that they are in for something spectacular.

Real Madrid have new players that joined the team alongside a new coach Xabi Alonso, though they will meet some challenging times but they will adapt as they play more matches. Xabi Alonso is a nice coach, he will make sure he keeps the team in a good standard.

If they are not rebuilding why are they scouting many player for January transfer window or the summer window next year. They have their eyes on Konate, Saliba, Guehi and many other player in the premier league. It is obvious there defense have a little lapses needed to be fixed. We can all agree the front-line is superb, they have attackers that are threat to any club, the midfield is also solid but need more players to add to it. While the defense is not their yet and we all know that.

I still agree that Real Madrid are rebuilding, and the process still continues, because I still expect them to make a couples signing This coming winter break and even next season. So far I believe in What Xabi is trying to build but as always every project needs time.

But  we still do not know if Real Madrid can play well against strong teams. We have seen real madrid lose badly against atletico madrid. Now we still  do not know how madrid will perform against Juventus in the next match of the Champions league. Madrid has a high  chance of winning, but I would not be surprised if Madrid drops points min the match.

They continue to have serious defensive problems, and the only way to avoid conceding many goals and not lose games is by putting a lot of pressure on the attack so that the opponent focuses on defending. To do this, the coach depends on putting the quartet of Vinicius Jr., Mbappe, Arda Guler, and Franco Mastantuono. When these four players are on the field, they can put a lot of pressure on the opponent constantly.

What happened in the game against Atlético Madrid was that the coach didn't put this quartet on. He experimented by putting Jude Bellingham on. It was the same experiment he did in the Club World Cup game when Real Madrid lost. Now, if he doesn't solve the defensive problem and find a team that uses the same strategy that PSG used in the European Champions League final, then we're lost.

You are somehow wrong, because Chelsea are not a team to depend on; if you do, you will be disappointed. Chelsea did well in the Club World Cup, no doubt, but to me, I’m still not convinced that they are the best. As for PSG, I will agree with you that they are one of the best. Although Chelsea can be classified as one of the teams that stopped PSG from getting everything last season by winning the Club World Cup, this season is something else entirely, as Chelsea are not performing as expected. All we can say is that Chelsea are just trying their best for now, as they are not that strong.

I do not know why people still allow the glory of the FIFA club world cup victory make them not look at the current reality, Chelsea did well that time but it is now all in the past and something that has  been considered as been in the past and after then, a few adjustments and changes had taken place so they are not as they exactly were then and they also have some inconsistencies too, so let us be more realistic with expectations from the so we get less disappointment from them than we would.

I guess they are all still enjoying and reminiscing on the victory and the level at which the performed in the club world cup ignoring the harsh reality that their performance level has dropped since the new season began. As you suggest, it will be wise to be more realistic with our expectations of Chelsea this season.

Currently, Juventus is in form which will be difficult for them to accept defeat. To be honest Madrid were plagued by injuries last season, which has meant that their performances have not been stable so far in this new season, because we can see that they are changing the coaching staff and facing various challenges like lack of strategic planning. Then maybe they have become a force to be reckoned with, pushing the odds as they currently occupy the top spot in La Liga.

In any case the slightest mistake of this group becomes very heavy in the eyes of everyone, so maybe this team should play with precision because they need stable and artistic performances. It is true that the current headache for this team is Juventus Football Club, this could be one of the toughest obstacles for Madrid in the new UCL season.

I think for now until Real Madrid becomes very strong like they used to be in the past they can not stop building the team if you look at their game play 4-5 years ago you could notice that they are lacking some good players to cover the position of the players who has left the team that is why they are going for notable players that will be joining them for next summer they want to solidly the team and make it very strong and fearful again. They have a strong attack but the midfield and defense still needs to be worked on and the coach is taking his time to get the best players for next season.

Chelsea did not win the FCWC by luck, if you watched the match, you will agree that they played better than PSG in that match and the statistics favor them as well. You call it luck simply because no one expected them to play that good. You are free to write Chelsea off but the truth is that eliminating Chelsea from a serious competition like the champions league is not an easy thing so we should expect to see serious fight in that group stage.

Of course, Chelsea did not win the Club World Cup by luck because they performed very well in the game. Furthermore, they surpassed PSG and Luis Enriques players were so tired which was not the same PSG, we had been watching from the beginning. Chelsea's strategies work well against PSG, allowed them to win the trophy without conceding a single goal, which surprised many people.

It's too early to write Chelsea off in the Champions League since the players also seem prepared to give it their all, but you need to observe Chelsea's performance. There was no luck involved in that game — Chelsea were the only team playing football from start to finish. Palmer turned into prime CR7; he was simply flawless. When you have a player explode like that in a final, nothing can stop you from winning the UCL. I don’t even like Chelsea, but they definitely deserved to lift the trophy that night.

Besides strategy, ability, skill, luck is also involved in every match. Luck will always be present among success, whatever form it takes and in whatever way. But of course, some people might not admit it for one or other reasons including because the good performance of certain teams and players. I disagree with you. Real Madrid has many good and excellent players. But that's not enough. Real Madrid lacks a true leader like Toni Kroos. Now there are many scandals and struggles for leadership in the team. In my opinion, Mbappe and Vinicius are fighting each other in particular, and the recent scandal with Vinicius' salary has affected the team. I think if Kroos were at Real Madrid now, there wouldn't be so much friction between the players.

Juventus improved recently in some matches to hodl ground with some strong teams in the Italian league to defeated teams that disgrace them last season, but they draw their last match with AC Milan for you to know that their performance has dropped little, which is what am using to check their strengths right now, I don't think Juventus can defeat Real Madrid if they meet in this UEFA champion League competition because they will not allow what happened last match to happen to lose points against their opponent, if you check la Liga league table, you will discover that Real Madrid is topping the table to know that their performance is not reducing.

This season Juventus has really shown much improvement base on their performance. I see them challenging for the scudetto title but going into the champions League I don't think that Juventus can easily loose against Madrid. It will be difficult for Madrid to easily win Juventus because looking at the strength of these two teams they are at the same level so Juventus has a good chance going into the champions League.

Clubs like Juventus are not to be concerned about because I understand the impression that they will give people that they can win, but whether they improve or not, they will not win the Champions League.  And they will have a difficult time defeating a team like Real Madrid since Real Madrid is currently in a superior position, therefore there is no way Madrid can be easily destroyed, especially given their familiarity with the Champions League. In all honesty Real Madrid is not that bad, rebuilding is normal every club must pass through this phase every season for a fact wanting news players doesn’t mean the team is that poor definitely we can all agree the lack of a defensive player never affected the club to a certain point when everything seems obvious.

Yeah, obviously Xabi Alonso is still trying to utilize his ability to rebuild the team because some of their experienced players had left the club before his move, despite for a strong team needing experienced and talented players. So now he should need to modify their new players like to prepare them for a big tussle.....

It's the beginning of the season and I know Xabi Alonso is still trailing with unsettlement, and regaining this unsettlement will probably take a while because now in first season he will try to see the players capacity and in the second season he will try fill the lack with a new players.

Here this Real Madrid team is still not totally complete yet because of the defense, last season I can say this was the main reason why they lost so many games, the defense was just making so many mistakes and costing them goals all round, we all saw the fifa club World Cup how they actually lost to Real Madrid using the same defense they used in the former season, if you look at this defense when Huijsen is in the team you will still see a clear difference and huge improvement.

Since the departure of the likes of Sergio Ramos, Pepe and Raphael Varane Real Madrid has not that great center back pairing again it is always combinations that do not work out. Among the three options you mentioned I will greatly consider Guehi because he is so good on the ball, Saliba will would have been a great addition but it seems to staying at Arsenal while Konate physicality would have been a great partnership with Huijsen but he hasn’t so poor this season.

Funny thing all this players are been scouted by Real Madrid because of their contract issues with their current clubs

I'm not confident Chelsea can reach the final this season, but I'm not underestimating them, but the Champions league will be more difficult once they reach the higher stages. I have more confidence in Real madrid this season. They have a great coach, great players, and a team with extensive Champions League experience. If Chelsea were to face real madrid in the round of 16, I'm sure they would be overwhelmed.

On the other hand, I have more confidence in Liverpool and Arsenal. They don't like to be praised, but their hard work last season makes us confident in their progress in the Champions League this season. I hope Liverpool can perform better and bring home the UCL trophy to Premier League. PSG is the same, But they are currently experiencing a storm of injuries, which could affect their performance in the Champions League this season.

It's natural that people don't place Chelsea as the favorite team in the Champions League because this team is not like some other clubs, but things can change because Chelsea have also experienced champions when their performances were not very consistent. I think this match is very difficult to predict because both teams are strong in their respective domestic leagues. Therefore, this match could have a surprising result. However, I personally will be backing Arsenal in this match. Arsenal has proven to be quite consistent at the moment, especially in the Champions League.
