Finishing the season as runner up several times is something that deserves to be appreciated because to be able to reach runner up many times requires stability and consistent performance every season and Arteta can make it happen even though he couldn't give Arsenal the title but Arsenal's overall performance in the Premier League was very good and didn't even experience a sharp decline like this season when Man City experienced a decline Arsenal remained in its position and the opportunity to win the EPL title was quite close if Arsenal could take advantage of it well.

They're actually on the right track with Arteta, but the problem lies in the title they haven't won yet. But whether they're close or not, I actually see them getting close. This is evident in their ability to compete for a title in several seasons, only to slip up at the end.

I can agree with you in this issue of Arsenal being better in the time of Arsen Winger than it is under Areteta, what some of us here have failed to understand or some of us doesn't know is that, at the time of Winger, he doesn't believe in big money moves. Winger could use £50 million and sign 10 players, then transform those players into monsters where 1 could be sold for £40 million as at then. Again, Arsenal wasn't able to spend more because they had a project which is the current Emirates stadium they are currently using now. Winger built that stadium. If not for anything I still give him lots of credit, he was managing the team at the same time building a stadium for the fans. Even though we do make jokes off Arsenal, we still know the truth.

Well, there are quite a few examples of clubs in the Premier League where, after changing managers, instead of improving, they actually got worse. A bigger example is what happened to Manchester United. When Ten Hag left and was replaced by Amorim, the results were even worse. And the same thing happened at Nottingham Forest. I even think Tottenham Hotspur experienced the same thing in the Premier League. But fortunately, they won the Europa League last season, which makes their change of manager somewhat successful.

I don’t think there should be any comparison between this two for now, I doubt that Arsene Wenger actually took more than 5 seasons before he could actually clinch the Premier League tittle like it is taking Arteta at the moment. Arsene actually won multiple premier and Fa Cups and the historical invincible tittle they had all this was done without him breaking the bank like we see today, he was known for actually winning and building players back then and the only dent in his career was the champions league trophy he had failed to win, I think his disrespect is actually coming because he spent too much time at the club and people only see and judged his latter years,

Mikel Arteta has been with Arsenal since 2019 and now that his current deal signed in 2024 to last until 2027 is another thing we are going to give a second chance for and see how he could deliver within, when challenges arises from situations like this, sacking the coach is not the end to the challenges, because the actual cause has to be looked upon first, then we see whether and if everything was pointing at the coach or not, but so far so good, i believe he should be able to make some changes this season before it ends and before his contract due by 2027 with Arsenal.
