People who actually expected Ajax to win were actually expecting to much, Chelsea completely dominated that match, I think it was mostly just luck on their side that they were even able to get one goal in like half way through the match but that was just how far their luck could take them, they couldn't have gone any further than that, Ajax has really been underperforming this season right from the get go their victories seem to been mainly on friendlies while Chelsea had been winning most of their matches saved a few so even before the match started, Chelsea statistically had a much higher chance of winning than Ajax did.

Yes football enthusiast will put more attention in this match because theres no match today that involves strong teams even though we are counting with past glory, Juventus disappointed most of us last Sunday, they lost to a team that we never expected that they could lose to without even scoring at least 1 goal, although we know Como to be a very stubborn team when they encounter perceived big team but what surprised me was how Juventus fall cheaply to their fit, so that note, going into champions league with a team like RealMadrid thats better than them in the domestic and  other competitions, I don't see any reason why RealMadrid wont win them, I know football sometimes may take another tune or cut our expectations but going by both team outplay, RealMadrid may have the day.

As expected by many, considering Real Madrid's physical performance and Juventus' period of suffering outside the Italian league, the match ended in defeat for Juventus.

In Serie A, Juventus has played poorly, drawing three times and most recently losing away to Como this could affect their UCL match against Real Madrid, which will be a tough game at the Bernabeu, so I'm not sure Juventus will win, although anything can happen.

However, in terms of chances, it's quite a long shot  --- it looks like Madrid will win, and Juventus' chances are slim this is just my own prediction.

Real Madrid against Juventus is always a difficult game, and there was not many goals scored in their previous games, I also bet on Real Madrid to win since they might keep a clean sheet at home.

Juventus chances of beating any team in the Champions League are very slim after they lost against Como, Juventus has also failed to beat Villarreal, a team that has been away from the Champions League for a while. They are at the bottom of the table with 2 points from 3 matches. The next opponent is Sporting and I’m not sure they will win.

Manchester city just proved to Villarreal why they are still a force to reckon with as far as European football is concerned, though they are not at their best yet but with this performance they have shown how the team is blending with the new players and perhaps Villarreal on the other hand haven't played in this tournament for a long time and are yet understand the changes in the UCL.

Villarreal fate was slightly better than Atletico Madrid, they only conceded 2 goals to Man City, while Atletico was completely destroyed by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Guardiola must pay more attention to his team, which has not yet fully returned to its best form. This victory provides some encouragement for the players who could only manage a 2-2 draw at AS Monaco headquarters in the second match.
Arsenal are still on a positive track, they have performed impressively in the UCL and EPL, the victory over Atletico completed 3 consecutive wins in this competition, now they are in third place with the same number of points as Inter and PSG.

Arsenal is one of the best performing team in the entire Europe so far, they only conceded one loss this season against Liverpool and have been playing well in the UCL winning all 3 games, by the look of things it seems they would be among the teams that would finish at the top before the knockout stages of the UCL if they continue to be consistent in their performance. But they also need to stay focused and in the EPL too because Liverpool and Manchester city seem to be struggling which means they stand a better chance to win the title this season.

If there are people who were expecting Ajax to earn points against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, their expectations are too high because the Ajax they knew in the past isn't the same as this season's Ajax, and as such, it will be difficult for Ajax to win big teams as they did in the past few seasons. Ajax is currently seated on the bottom of the Champions League table, and it is obvious they can't qualify for the knockout phase of the Champions League, because I am not even certain if Ajax can win their next Champions League match against Galatasaray.

You are absolutely correct, Ajax form is not something to be compared with Chelsea because Chelsea is really inform this period and very soon a lot of team will be scared to play against them. Chelsea and Manchester city has really pick form currently and they have been winning in their last 2 to 3 matches and they are still going to win more. Leverkusen must be really missing Xabi Alonso a lot... Since he left the team have been in terrible shape. Maybe it's because of bad management by team officials. Sacking ten Hag in only 2 weeks is still a thing I don't understand.

Something is rotten in that Leverkusen team after Xabi left — they’re simply not a fraction of what they used to be, even though most of the players stayed. I know PSG are a monster of a team and title contenders this season, but conceding 7 goals in a 10 vs. 10 match is really shameful from Leverkusen. Arsenal for example can play well, create domination, make great impression but they can lose against an opponent in an aggregated result.

Last season Barcelona lost to Barcelona with this way and with a long season ahead, it is no time for predicting Arsenal as a new champion in Champions League in this season. They are quality and can compete for a title but they just focus on match hy match and see how far they can go in this season, whether better than semi finals like they did last season.

Atalanta failed to win at home against Slavia Prague, and the match ended in a goalless draw. Frankly, we can say that Atalanta has seen a decline in goals since Gasperini left. Despite both teams taking plenty of shots, unfortunately, there were no goals in the match. We can say that this was an important point loss for Atalanta.

Bayern Munich's easy victory was predicted from the start, Club Brugge did not have good strength so they were not able to provide fierce resistance to Bayern Munich.

I hope Real Madrid also improves their attacking effectiveness and their ability to convert chances into goals. Although undefeated in the UCL this season, they still lag behind Bayern and PSG in terms of goalscoring. Even though we all know that Real Madrid has one of the best forwards in Europe.

Overall, I see the competition for the trophy this season as quite competitive, even the battle to finish in the top eight of the standings is very tight. However, I believe Bayern Munich will not face any significant difficulties in advancing to the round of 16.

Bayern Munich can easily win and do well, obviously this requires constant commitment, I believe they can easily compete with the others to reach the final and win, I see that Kane does not stop at scoring and I am really happy for him, If they continue like this they can do a lot.

There was never a day before the game I have wake up and believe that Ajax can even see draw in that game, no not with this current Chelsea team and even if that should happen it's in the past, and again their group is very challenging and they only way Chelsea might have the hope of passing the group stage is by winning this underdog teams in the league and maybe hopefully they might manage to beat any of these other tough teams to enable them go through the group stage, but Truth be told I fear if they can, because team like Bayern Munich and Barcelona can not even think of dropping at group stage so it's really gonna be tough.

Three Spanish teams played yesterday in the champions league but two performed below expectations, nobody would have believed that both Manchester city and Arsenal can keep a clean sheet against this two Spanish sides.

Villarreal and Athletico Madrid, does it mean that English teams now have an edge over the Spanish teams, recall that last season Real Madrid crashed out of the champions league by the hands of Arsenal who seemed like the underdogs.

Or is it just a mere coincidence that the Spanish teams only had a bad day at the office.

I just love football, there's always time for things to happen. This season especially, English teams has had the better off Spanish teams and that's the fact on ground. Some seasons ago, only one Spanish comfortably handled 3 top EPL teams and eliminated them from the competition, so I see this as a revenge. The EPL teams are doing just fine this season so far.

but this trends usually changes when it gets to the knockout stages, most times the Spanish teams are mostly proactive against the premiership clubs when it has to do with elimination rounds due to the intensity and importance of the match in that part of the competition.

So far it is looking as if we wilo not have much Spanish sides in the last four as they some how seems to be striving in the group stages, maybe the changes in the champions league settings is affecting the Spanish clubs as well.

It's a actually the star match of today, the old ladies will be meeting the Spanish giants Real Madrid. Madrid are the favourites to win, and am just trusting my instincts that, it will definitely end in favour of Madrid, juventus in their last few Italian league games i have seen them play, they did not really giving me much of an impression, at least for me to say that they will pose as a threat to Madrid. Madrid is one team that doesn't take the champions League lightly, so they will be coming all out.

I saw a great Juventus who tried to play a great match, obviously Real Madrid had a lot of luck and a draw would have been good, honestly I expected Dusan to score that goal into an empty net but he didn't manage it, overall they deserved a draw, even if I didn't make it

The way i was expecting the game to be tough was not that tough because even real marid was not the performance i expected because they could not score until the 57th minute, so it was now as if there won't be any goal in the game so i was even surprised to have seen Bellingham score and viniius assiting him and even with all 28 attempts, they could not score more than one goal and with this kind of performance, I am still skeptical about it. it was obvious that Real Madrid had everything it takes to have been able to win, but the result was just a different one.

And they are stronger than Juventus since they eventually won the game. good for them, but they have two important games coming up in both the Champions League and La liga. They will be playing against Liverpool, which is going to be tough, and also playing against Barcelona in La liga, so let's see what they are made of this season because I am not even sure if they still have that aura we know real madrid to have because you can't even predict when it comes to them but we are going to use these games to judge.

Bayern Munich is getting stronger this season and even so far we haven't seen a team that is able to put significant pressure on Bayern Munich, only consistency needs to be maintained by Bayern Munich players to be able to advance further and compete fiercely in the title race, if they can be consistent then I think it is not impossible for Bayern Munich to win the title this season.

Real Madrid's attacking players tried hard to score. But Juventus' defenders and golkipar played amazingly. A total of 28 shots were made by Madrid players. They made 10 on target  shots. But Madrid won the match by only 1-0. If Juventus' goalkeeper Di Gregorio made 8 amazing saves in this match. If Di Gregorio's performance was not good, Juventus would have conceded at least 3 goals in this match.

I am satisfied with Madrid's overall performance. Madrid won the match by dominating. But now I am waiting to see Madrid's performance in the next El Clasico.

Lots of people were hyping Ajax, at some point I was thinking Chelsea will find the match difficult to win because the hype was just too much, but Chelsea humiliated Ajax yesterday, they didn’t give Ajax any chance in the match, Chelsea were in control of the match from first half till when the match ended, and Chelsea were able to score score 5 goals in the match, brilliant performance from Chelsea players, all of them played so well in the match, and they were able to secure 3 points in the match.
