It was an amazing game again... But we don't have any luxury of being complacent. We need to show the same determination. If we reach last 16 then it's going to be against Tottenham or Liverpool for us there.

A draw in the away match is not a bad result. But Atletico Madrid had a chance to win the match. They were able to take a 2-0 lead in the first half. However, they could not perform well in the second half.

The second leg match is Atletico Madrid's home match. Undoubtedly, Atletico Madrid will be the favorite in this match. However, the road to victory against Club Brugge will be a little slower. This team is not weak, they won their first match. It was not easy to finish the match 3-3 after being behind 2-0. So Atletico will have to play very carefully. And they could have actually won if only their defenders had closed down Christos Tzolis movement more quickly in the 88th minute, I must also admit that Clube Brugge dominated the match. For a club with the strength in terms of the level of the players actually I don't see what is said to be good in the Atletico match because they seemed to lose control of this game even from the beginning of the first half because Club Brugge played much better.
Club Brugge managed to take advantage of the home advantage in this match and it did show in terms of their confidence in attack and how they responded after losing with a 2-goal deficit in the first half that already showed positive things for them. It's just that the second leg is definitely not easy even though in the first leg I didn't really like the performance of Atletico but we certainly know that home advantage will sometimes be an interesting thing and I hope that in the second leg Atletico can take advantage of it just like Club Brugge did in this first leg.

A few days ago, Atletico Madrid won  4-0 against barcelona in the copa del rey match. But in the next match, Atletico madrid lost 3-0  against Rayo vallecano. This shows that Atletico Madrid is not a stable team. Their performance is also not consistent. So Atletico Madrid will definitely be the favorite against Club brugge. But it is impossible to guarantee that they will win.

Atletico madrid lost focus towards the ending of this game that was why they conceeded,  those late goals one thing that ATM was known to be a defensive minded team that teams finds it difficult to score against. Am really surprised that ATM is conceeding goals like this off recent.simone should do what he knows how to to the best by strengthening the defense line going forward if they hopes to go far in the champions League.


ATM should try and avoid the mistake of the first leg and play with composure in the defense because, club brugge has put up some great performances in the champions League this season. There is no advantage in the part of any of the teams going into the second leg . If ATM takes club Brugge for granted they could regret it because in football everything is possible.

For me, Galatasaray has already qualified to the round of 16 because there's nothing Juventus can do to stop them since it's not easy to score four goals without Galatasaray scoring any. Juventus lost it in the first leg. Their performance was very poor and my instincts tells me that Galatasaray might get a win away from home.

I definitely agree, while I did not expected this much difference between the clubs, we can say that Galatasaray had a great day even if they are normally not that great, or maybe they are, we will see in the next round. I understand why people may say "it's not over yet" because yes technically speaking it is not and Juventus could still comeback from this, in theory that is very possible.

But we have to also remember that is not likely and it would be a very tough task for Juventus to do something like that. It is not "impossible" but it is not going to happen most probably and Galatasaray would need to play like full on rotation young players or something for that to happen, which I am sure they are not going to do.

Well Atletico been doing really great and of a truth, at a point it should not be a thing to bother when you see fixtures like this against Atletico but the situation now is not such that permits you leave your full trust just like that. Atletico Madrid links more like the favourite even as that is not a guarantee but seeing that it is champions league, I expect to see some really different and interesting football there in that fixture.

Athletico Madrid are doing better in the Champions League and I get the believe that they will surly get the wining in the second leg and they will qualify to the next round of the ucl. They have improved better since they get Nigeria player Lookman he s make the team stronger and if they can continue like this they will surly get something to achieve in the competition they are into this season. They way Athletico perform against Barcelona in the cope dey Rey that give me confidence that they are playing something new this season and am sure that Barcelona have be eliminated in the competition because I don't think they can score 5 goals in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey. The players of brugge played very well in  the second half.  They attacked a lot and even  controlled the match. Even though they were behind by  2 goals, the players were completely confident about winning.

Honestly, I expected Atlético Madrid to beat Club Brugge, but that didn't happen. In fact, I'd say they were lucky to get a draw in this match. In the second leg, it will be like starting from scratch, and neither team will have an advantage from the result of the first leg.

I'm not even surprised by things like this because the club have turned itself into a small club. They can spend 90 million to buy one player, buy more players during the winter transfer window, only to have a draw against Club Brugge and call it a good job. That is the standard they are in now, and it's embarrassing because that club should be bigger than that.

I am not saying a big club can't draw with a small team or mid-table team, but calling it a "good job" is what I dont agree with.
And no, Atletico are not in a good position. If they lose by one goal they will get knocked out. They have the advantage becasue they play at home, but that won't mean much if they dont play better.
