Yes, Atlético Madrid will face either Liverpool or Tottenham, but we will only know which one after the draw. However, from the round of 16 onwards, there will be no easy matches. I don’t see it this way actually they have been poor lately because they lost to Liverpool 6-0 but their qualification came at the expense of them starting the campaign well and yes they deserve to be in this play offs at least if not for anything for them to actually get the bonus for qualifying to the play offs I think, even if there is no bonus then match fees in their stadium is a gain.

The format yes isn’t that all ok for me too but it’s not the problem of clubs getting trashed like this, it has long been a thing before. Big clubs also get trashed after getting out of the groups and into the knockout stages and people do not condemn why they should be allowed to participate.

It is called money. The reason is more money for each step a team move forward in these European competitions. Plus being more famous so more stuffs being sold and more reward generated from this. Otherwise, such aggregates remembered me of UEFA Nations League with tiers D teams or EURO Qualifiers.

I'm not surprised with this scoreline because I expected the victory from Atletico Madrid. They big opportunity to end this fight right from the first leg but they were so relaxed which gave Club Bruge opportunity to equalised. But today Atletico Madrid learned from their mistakes and showed their champions league experience to the Club Bruge. Congratulations to Atletico Madrid for advancing to the next stage.

Inter Milan Vs Bodo/Glimt match is ongoing, very interesting game Inter Milan has been pressuring them but they haven't lucky to score a goal, and if it's Bodo/Glimt that I know I don't think they will give Inter Milan that chance because they are defensive minded.

Qarabag can not stand Newcastle, it is already 2 nill in just the early first half, they have gotten a 8 goals to 1 as a total aggregate. At this point it is left the team to just stop playing maybe just give up, there is no point to even continue to play, because I totally believe that Qarabag will not face this heat till the end of this game, and we can tell with this play, Newcastle can still come up with another goal to make it 3 or even above that, it is quite obvious I guess. In all sincerity, you’ve said it all. A team like Qarabag still having to suffer from a mid tier team like Newcastle United with an 8:1 goal on aggregate, that’s absurd for a champions league. Scores like this is not why we enjoy the game. It makes you wonder what could be their fate should they be matched against a more formidable opponent.

Inter Milan however still struggles to find a goal against Glimt and the first half is almost over. The second half might prove more difficult and they are 3:1 on aggregate as it is.

Atletico is still the favourites here though, not only they will play at home, they are going to play against a team that they should be winning against. I get that it may not look like a sure thing because of the first game but I bet that they are going to still get the win.

I think the more important game would be Inter against Bodo, thanks to home field advantage Bodo managed to get a win, but now it is going to be at Milano and Inter will have a lot higher chance at san siro, I am not sure if Inter will get enough goals, but I think this could end a lot better and shouldn't really be something that could be all that confusing because Inter will end up with a win and only question remains would be with how many goals.

As for Inter vs. Bodo... it makes sense for Inter to have an advantage at the San Siro, but I'm not sure if it will be a comfortable score or just enough to guarantee the victory, we'll have to see.

Don't mind me, the question was semi- rhetorical. It's somewhat annoying that Newcastle who is not even in good form this season could win them with such margin of goals. Sometimes I used to wonder why a team with 11 professional players and a professional coach will allow another team with 11 players and a coach to score them upto 8 goals in a match.
What is really wrong?
Is it from the side of the players or the coach. Will it be that the opposition coach has some kind of supernatural football intelligence.
3:0 and 4:0 is understandable, but 8:0 is something I don't subscribe to.

Well for me I needed two goals from this game, for the both team to get the goals, but is looking like it will be impossible for that. To be honest, I know that football is football and anything can happen at the last minute. The way Bodø/Glimt are playing, we can tell that they are trying to keep the advantage to maintain the lead they are having against inter. Inter needs to put up with some pressure in the second half if they want to be back in this game. Well we still have the next 45 minutes to go, and untill then, before we can tell.

I admit I was expecting Inter to score in the first half and nothing came through for now. But they keep pressing and seem unstoppable, 74% of ball control and 12 goal shots.

Inter Milan's dream is fading but this second half promises to be more intense and I hope they continue doing what it takes to win.

Atletico Madrid secured a very clear victory. Club Brugge put up a good fight in the first match, but they couldn't get what they wanted away from home. Sörloth is just too good. He scored a hat-trick today. They had even considered sending him away during the Winter transfer window. I always said it was best for him to stay with the team. A striker of his caliber can thrive at any top club. Atletico also has Griezmann and Alvarez, but having a player with Sörloth's finishing ability makes them stronger.

Sorloth gives Atletico the lead on the 27th minutes of the game to break the deadlock. It's was an unbelievable goal because Brugga goalie was supposed to stop that ball. However, if everyone is perfect, we wouldn't always get a winner. Club Brugga is equal to the task of getting an equalizer because they are of the same level with Atletico in their performance tonight. Though, Atletico is dominating the game. The scoreline is 1-0.

The aggregate is already 4 - 4. The last game both clubs played ended up in draw with Club Brugge playing 3 goals and Atletico ended with 4 goals too. My thoughts were in this match, the Atletico guys will not hesitate but ensure they win this match especially now they are playing home and not away. But it also shows Brugge is not ready to lose this one and wants to really push with their last efforts. So far so good and chances are the both team might either end in draw or with one team having a slight win over the other. Not much can be determined yet until we see the level of performance from both teams.

Atletico Madrid blew off your expectations, their Home advantage was a booster for their performance and Alexander Sorloth with the hat trick of the day, what a superb performance Ademola Lookman with another goal contribution.

Inter Milan is slowly losing it and leaving the champions league early this season, it’s been a while we saw them leave after the preliminary stages. Bodo/Glimt is really going to do the almost impossible.

I don't see it as a waste of a spot for them to make it to this point. yes they are being trashed but still they got to this point. This is Football, anything is possible and is not like Newcastle is really a mid team rather just often inconsistent and we have seen them get the better of bigger teams when they put an outstanding performance.

The champions league is a respecter of none, any team that made it to the champions league is not to be taken lightly because they are capable of harming even the toughest team as far the champions league is concerned. Chelsea find it difficult to beat this same Qarabaq team at home during the group stages, they are champions of Azerbaijan and have been dominating for years, they’ve been frequently in the champions league. Newcastle united did a good job by not taking them for granted if not they would have been in trouble by now just take a look at what Bodo Glimt did to Inter Milan in their first leg of the playoffs, now Inter Milan will be sweating so hard for the return leg. So all these teams you think they are not strong are not to be taken for granted before they end up humiliating you especially in the champions league there are no small team.

Sometimes you can’t predict what can happen in any stage of the Champions League competition because it composes if teams from different leagues across Europa, so anything can happen that is why all teams are taking with serious consideration because they can surprise us at anytime against any big team just as Bodo Glimt did in their last games of the group stage.

After this victory by Newcastle United, now all the English premier league teams that play in the Champions have qualified to the knockout stage, it is not easy, they have made EPL proud because only Newcastle United play in the playoff, and now they are also in the knockout stage.
