It's not difficult for me. My money is on Manchester City. Not because they are so superior to Madrid or because Madrid doesn't stand a chance, but the amount of important players Madrid are missing is too much and to top it off, they are in a bad form.
Aside from the advantage of being at home, nothing else has gone Madrid's way in the build up to this game. This is one of the very few times Madrid willl go into a game as lesser side. Assuming they had a good coach, he could have made them compete with the players they have, but Arbeloa isnt experienced enough. It would be shameful for Man City not to win tonight because this is the easiet time to win Madrid.

If we are looking at team in better shape, Manchester City are the favourite if they can play good football. Real Madrid usually have a problem in their defense, hopefully today they will be able to patch themselves for the whole 90 minutes. Real Madrid can play well without key players if they are managed by an experienced and capable coach that in my opinion is not what they have now. Arbeloa will have a very stressful match with Pep Guardiola who is more experienced and successful in coach career. He will begin this match with double fear of losing this match at a home stadium, having high risk losing in an aggregated result later, and perhaps getting a sack announcement after this match or a second leg match.

I also expected more from Arsenal FC in this match. After the way they played against top teams earlier in the season, I even bet on Arsenal to win. After the way they played against big teams at the start of the competition, it seemed they wouldn't have much difficulty beating Leverkusen, this performance feels a bit below their usual level.

But knockout games in the UEFA Champions League are often like this. Sometimes teams focus more on not conceding than on attacking aggressively in the first leg.

It was a beautifully taking penalty from Kai Havertz when a keeper goes the same direction of the ball the pressure is higher and even if the Bayer leverkusen keeper got the direction of penalty correctly it was a beautifully placed penalty that was always going away from the keeper.
