Spain still has teams in other competitions as well, while it may not be as good as UCL, they are still there. Whereas, Italy has only one team left, which is Atalanta in UCL, so less than La Liga, and also they have less teams overall. Spain still has six teams, whereas Italy has only 4 teams left.

It means, Spain has a chance to actually keep playing and having more chances, the gap is not that big, and main reason why Italy looks so great is that, they had a season with three Italian teams in the finals of the three cups, that season was a beast for them but it is not common and doesn't happen all the time and Spain will pass back, just needs time until that season is not calculated anymore, needs 2 or three years I think.

I agree on certain points, as Spain still has more teams in the competitions, so naturally it has more chances to accumulate points. But I think Italy's recent strength doesn't just come from that season with three finals; Italian clubs have been doing well in the final stages in recent years as well.

Even so, the difference isn't that great. If Spanish teams return to having more successful campaigns in the coming seasons, this could change very quickly.

Real Madrid even looked better with the depth of their squad playing as the starting eleven in the match against Manchester City. I guess what also helped the Madrid guys was due to the fact they knew the match was never going to be any easy for them so they came with the mindset of winning or preparing to lose if overpowered. I saw the spirit of this believe in them and it made them triumph in their game against the Manchester City. On the other hand, I guess Manchester City lost their grip from the first goal and became scared and unsure of their capabilities after the first and their pressure started reducing and they couldn’t create much of the pressure they could have created to beat Madrid. I’m excited for the winners but they should also expect a come back during second leg though I still doubt if they can do it.

Honestly, i didn't expect it, just like no one else did. Not even the bookmakers expected such a result.
Let's say i was very disappointed by Manchester City, how can they lose like this against a team as bad as Real Madrid. Honestly, i don't know if it's Real Madrid's merit or Manchester City's fault.

Although that cannot be blamed because Madrid's performance is still not up to the expected standard especially with so many Madrid players absent so that doubts arise, it's just that as you said, we forget Madrid as a regular in the Champions League and always have a probability even if the possibility is only 1% they are always able to make a breakthrough that does not match our expectations.

They even played without a pure striker and paired Arda as a fulcrum but Madrid's midfield scheme was excellent. Valverde was given the freedom as a shadow striker and it was effective because we know the endurance he has in duels which makes it not what people expect.
Now that leg 1 is over and 6 clubs from England did not get good results in this first leg even for Chelsea, Tottenham and now Manchester City I doubt they can make a comeback in the second leg.

My thoughts exactly, Chelsea really did their best but it wasn't enough, psg on the other hand are in a more better form than them that was why the game was kind of easy for them to win. It is obvious that Chelsea can't survive the second leg just as you said and the main problem with that is their current form.

But Chelsea fans wouldn't accept that Chelsea isn't in a good form because they were bragging before the match that they are tje favorite to win the game just because they were lucky to win PSG on the finals of CWC due to fatigue on the players since they have been winning big clubs till the final day. They Real Madrid will not sit back completely unless if the coach will be afraid of Pep Guardiola, which I don’t think so because even the players will not want that disgrace if comeback and Manchester City don’t equally have that quality to cover up three goals lead in one match without their opponents scoring goals because they are also facing defensive crises in the team. Three goals difference is an easy access to win the second leg even without doing too much, we all know Real Madrid is not a small club so it doesn’t matter what the second leg holds.
