But I think it won't be easy for Arsenal to compete with UCL teams because UCL teams are clearly not to be underestimated. Sporting is a team that will try to thwart Arsenal's plans. I don't think Sporting is an easy opponent to beat because Sporting is very good at attacking, so Glimt could lose to Sporting in the round of 16. What do you think will happen in that match?
Every now and then there is an unfavorable outcome. Unfortunately they too are human beings and in this case they suffered the adversary, something that should never happen. This can serve as a lesson to them and they will certainly not be caught unprepared in the next match.
In football, it is indeed like that, many surprises happen and are difficult to predict; that has happened since long ago, which makes football even more interesting. However, for Arsenal this season it is also the same, but against Sporting, of course, we have to be realistic, and Arsenal will certainly be highly favored considering the overall strength of both teams this season. However, in predicting that Arsenal can win the Champions League title, honestly, I also have doubts.

No matter what happens, PSG has to win the first leg by a margin of two or more goals. Liverpool will fight hard in the second leg at Anfield, backed by the support of their fans. Galatasaray's 1-0 home victory wasn't enough to survive Anfield.

It’s a classical example but, it doesn’t paint the real picture here because, PSG isn’t Galatasaray. 1 or 2 goals margin would be nice but; in any eventuality, PSG is still capable of a lot. Look at what they did to Chelsea in their home and away match, same team that had them by the neck in their club world cup couldn’t do the same in the champions league knockout stages. That’s the kind of quality PSG brings and Liverpool is not their match.

Well Liverpool isn’t Chelsea like PSG is not Galatasary, the only spoiler for the match is the French league postponement of the PSG vs Lens match.
PSG and lens are having a two horse race for the ligue 1 title and this match is important to both of teams the postponement will give PSG more time to prepare for Liverpool but I don’t think Liverpool will have any match of theirs postponed.

Are you going to compare Galatasaray with PSG? I don’t think you should compare those two teams, just because Galatasaray messed up at Anfield doesn’t mean PSG are going to do the same thing. I know PSG are suppose to score much goals at their own home which is going to give them additional advantage in the competition, but if PSG doesn’t score much goal at home, that doesn’t mean if they visit Liverpool at Anfield they going to lose.

With the way Liverpool have been playing this season, I don’t even think they can win PSG both home and away, we all saw what PSG did to Chelsea, am expecting them to repeat the same thing against Liverpool, I don’t see much difference between Liverpool and Chelsea performance this season.

Liverpool is just straight up horrible this season, it would be unlikely for them to have any chance against a team like PSG. Not saying that they are going to do badly, just saying that we are not going to see them have any proper chance at all. I think it's clear that we are going to see Liverpool at least give it a try, but the gap is too much.

I understand Liverpool may have won the league last year, but look at how they have been this year. I mean these are the guys who barely beat Galatasaray to come here, a team that is not even spending half of what they spend, like quarter of their value and lost to them twice in the same season. So there is absolutely no possible way that Liverpool would be even close to PSG in this series.

What PSG did to Chelsea was not what we expected of them, we thought we were going to see a tougher clash between these two teams but never did we saw anything of such but a game that was one sided and was very obvious from the first leg that Chelsea was not PSG’s match and their qualification to the quarterfinals was already certain from the first led of the match. Liverpool is different from Chelsea although their performance hasn’t been that great throughout the season but they can still manage to actually fight for the next stage in this game. PSG has the higher odds and a qualification from Liverpool will come with much surprise.

In the French league, we see that many of Paris Saint-Germain's matches have been postponed so they can rest. This might create unfair competition, but it's a decision made by the federation. I think a similar postponement decision could be made for teams in the Premier League and Champions League, increasing their chances of success. However, I don't think that will happen. I believe Paris Saint-Germain will gain an advantage in this match by resting more.

It is creating an unfair competition, PSG should not be getting preferential treatment from the French  ligue 1 association especially when that treatment will help them face European competition.
This is not all about The domestic competition they have with Lens but it’s now affecting their UCL opponents.
Football now is packed with many matches and every team should endure it equally. I don’t know if Liverpool can lay a petition to the UCL governing body.

I don’t know if you people also know that PSG if this season is not as strong as they were last season, their performance in their domestic league isn’t that much better this season because they suffered injuries and some of they key players are yet to pick form based on their stats so far this season, therefore, given them a bigger chance ahead of Liverpool is something to have a second thought based on Champions League experience and experience players in the two teams.

I am not saying that Liverpool will defeat PSG in any where, but what happened to Chelsea against PSG will not happen to Liverpool, they will do way better than Chelsea and might even shock the whole world with their performance because I am still given them some chance to defeat PSG because PSG is not also in good form this season.

Well football is very unpredictable, I have been watching football for a long time, and it would be very bad to write off Liverpool at this stage of the Champions League, considering that Liverpool have more experience and has more history than PSG in the Champions League.

Liverpool are seen as the underdogs in this game in the Champions League and everyone is expecting PSG to beat Liverpool with a good goal margin, but personally I would have to give Liverpool a chance in this game, because football can be unpredictable.
In the first leg, since PSG will be playing from home, I think that has been one of the biggest reasons most persons are believing they have the advantage and should win Liverpool with a good margin, honestly that advantage PSG has got is really going to make it a tough one for Liverpool, but it still will not make me think less of them, I believe they will make a very good attempt at PSG .

Liverpool isn't exactly firing on all cylinders this season. Their passing is sloppy and they tend to crumble under high pressure. On the other hand PSG’s biggest downfall is their obsession with the Champions League. it’s like Liverpool have completely tunneled in on that one trophy...
Despite Liverpool poor and inconsistent performance this season, the UCL semi-final between Liverpool and PSG is also in a very good position. PSG has requested a change in the domestic league schedule and this request was granted. This is certainly beneficial for PSG giving them a long rest period before facing Liverpool. PSG has the full support of the League One organizers, so their domestic competition schedule has officially been adjusted allowing representatives from the League One team to focus solely on the UCL competition.

So, PSG will now have a full week of rest before facing Liverpool in the second leg, as the second leg is known to be crucial. Indeed, ahead of the first leg both teams had the same rest period PSG faced Toulouse, while Liverpool faced Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter final. However, ahead of the second leg PSG has a fairly long rest period due to the changed domestic league schedule, while Liverpool will face Fulham three days before the second leg. Of course, PSG scheduling advantage gives them a significant advantage. So, my prediction is that PSG will beat Liverpool and advance to the semifinals.
PSG played friday. Liverpool played saturday, at lunchtime. There's a gap before they even get on the plane to paris. Slot literally said in a press conference they can't really train in these windows, close to nothing was the phrase.

And "league one" lol. That's english third division. It's the french top league, the Ligue 1.

The leg 2 gap though, that's where it starts to get really insane. PSG have close to six days. Liverpool play Fulham on a saturday afternoon, and then play PSG on a tuesday night.  HOW can that gap happened? PSG's sporting director went on french radio as well and brought up the hillsborough disaster in order to justify their moving their lens match. Used it as leverage. Just said like it was nothing Liverpool fans heard that. That dressing room, heard that

I don't know psg probably go through. I'm not fighting that. But behaving as if it's clean and straightforward, there's not just rest days going on here

Maybe they're trying to help them maintain their form so the players don't get too stressed I see they're indirectly trying to put them in a better position to win the Champions League again since it would mean alot for the French league well that's allegedly cause my opinion might be wrong. Well if PSG doesn't win the Champions League, postponing their match would give them better chances of winning the Ligue 1 trophy. Liverpool is not in the Ligue 1, I don't think any petition would count since the decision was made in the Ligue 1

The first leg of the Real Madrid - Bayern Munich matchup is going to be at Bernabeu...

It will be tougher for Kompany's team there technically. But consider it in mind that Bayern Munich are still favourites of this match. The odds look similar to the one between Real Madrid and Manchester City at this stadium.

But this time I don't expect a similar scenario. I don't expect Bayern Munich to lose. Or even if they do I think it wouldn't be more than a 1-goal difference.

Real Madrid won't like to lose to Bayern Munich since they are playing at home, they will take the match seriously and just like you said, this match will likely be like the Real Madrid versus Manchester City match. Vincent Kompany is a good tactician but playing against Real Madrid is a difficult task because they will try to correct the mistake they made to Arsenal in last season UCL where they were knocked out in the quarter finals. Real Madrid wants Kylian Mbappe to win the UCL since he was unfortunate to miss out last season when he joined Real Madrid and his former club PSG where he spent many years without winning the UCL title, won it in his absence. It was painful to Mbappe and i think the team will do him the honor of reaching the finals and win it. Real Madrid is always good at finals so if they make it, they will win it.

Last season in the league phase PSG were also not that strong but they were always able to perform well in the knock out phase even to win the final and this is the same as seen now where although in terms of the league phase they are slightly better but in the end their journey remains the same.

Currently in the quarter-final phase they just have to show a good performance just like they did last season and in the previous round they destroyed Chelsea with a pretty striking score that shows that they are very serious for this competition.
Indeed against Liverpool this may not be an easy thing for them but I think with their current condition and compared to Liverpool's performance, PSG's chance is much greater now even though this is a bog match.L
The chances of both clubs are still there to win but when talking about the probability for now PSG is superior to Liverpool.

I had high hopes for Arsenal winning the UCL, but after the last games, I would honestly be happy with a semifinal finish and the EPL trophy in our hands. After the poor display against City, I'm not sure they can get past the semifinals against Barca—let alone win it. As the season is ending, Arsenal’s strength also starts to dwindle.

No matter what happens, PSG has to win the first leg by a margin of two or more goals. Liverpool will fight hard in the second leg at Anfield, backed by the support of their fans. Galatasaray's 1-0 home victory wasn't enough to survive Anfield.

I don't know. The last time these two clubs met was in the round of 16 of the Champions League in the 2024-25 season. The result was an away 1-0 win for Liverpool in the 1st leg, and a 1-0 win for PSG in the rematch (PSG went through on penalties). This might sound like close games, but it was nothing of that sort. PSG was absolutely dominating the first game (I can't remember the rematch too well) and Liverpool was extremely lucky to come home with a win. It should've been a high victory for PSG.
But no two games are the same and the results from the past season do not have to repeat in the current year. I think Liverpool has learned their lesson and they will make some strategic amendments this year. I'm rooting for Liverpool to go through, but PSG are the rightful favourite.

But this time PSG is stronger. imo true secret behind PSG’s success lies in their use of possession not as an end in itself but as a strategic tool to tire the opponent and constrict the playing area. This fresh perspective brought to Paris by Luis Enrique differs from the old school that relied on the individual brilliance of star names.

SuperBitman is wrong to have said Arsenal take some game serious while take it easy in other game. Football is a game of tactic, knowledge and talent. The Arsenal approach every game differently. Any team they are too face, they have an approach against the team. Whenever the plan fail, all the fans would come out say the team were less serious. Chelsea dont underestimate any team, is the same Chelsea that lost 8:2 to PSG. You guys are really funny in this gambling board. If luck has been working for Chelsea in the past, don't expect luck to always for them. Chelsea is has a weak team and manager now, nothing will change that fact.

arsenal has a very specific game and knows how to do it well, they just have to believe more in their abilities, because they know they are doing well but they don't know they are superior to the others, or they don't show it, surely with a little more confidence they would find the way to win even those matches with results that were narrowly missed.

One of the things that PSG has been able to make use of very well is in their possession football and the physicality which they deploy against their opponents. This is what Liverpool has to try and stop because I know that PSG is going to use this to their own advantage in this game against Liverpool. And going by the current form of Liverpool I feel that Liverpool will find it difficult to manage the physicality that PSG is going to pose in this game.

If it is about the confidence, I think Arsenal has got the confidence for most of their next fixtures but then they just need some more tactical prowess that can sustain them through all of the many fixtures ahead and to be able to win by more goals but then be it narrow win or epic win, the most important thing is for them is to win the games and end with as many trophies as possible that they can get this season.

It’s an interesting debate between psychology (confidence) and tactics. While confidence is the engine, squad depth and Arteta’s tactical flexibility are the tires that allow them to stay on track in the Champions League. Arsenal’s real challenge this season isn’t proving they can beat anyone on their day, but maintaining that elite level every three days without a physical or mental burnout when reaching the quarter or semi-finals.
