The Barcelona and Real Madrid Banter is a well known one especially amongst Fans, and it does not seem like one that will end just like that even in this thread, it is normal for Barcelona and Madrid fans to drag each other, it is in the spirit of the game to make healthy arguments and bantas as such.

The rivalry between these two teams is quite fierce every season so that when the two meet in the El Clasiko match it always becomes more interesting and this rivalry will never end. The competition between the two teams for the La Liga title has always been tough, even though in the last few seasons Barcelona has been a little better, the rivalry between the two has always been fierce, with fans favoring each other's teams. This is why the rivalry between the two teams is running as it is now and the competition never ends until whenever.

Of course, Atletico has the chance of winning a trophy this season either in the Champions League or in Copa del Rey. I concur with you, out of the four matches in this quarter final this is the only result that shocked me. I wasn't expecting a win from either Real Madrid against Bayern, Sporting against Arsenal or Liverpool against PSG but you see this very match, I had high hopes on Barcelona winning this match especially for the fact that they are at home. All advantage was in Barcelona side, they had the fans and field as an added advantage. Why was the defender even careless as to giving away a red card which puts your team under pressure in such a crucial match. It's like the absence of Raphinha is really affecting them again.

The result that Barcelona would lose 2-0 was unimaginable. The match was played at Camp Nou. But they couldn't score a single goal. It was unimaginable that Barcelona would play so badly in a home match. Also, a few days ago barcelona won against Atletico Madrid. But they lost in the champions league match. Whatever, barcelona still has a chance to qualify for the semi-finals. But this path is very difficult. Barcelona is behind by 2 goals. I am sure atletico madrid will play defensively in the second leg match.

From the beginning of the match and with Barcelona lineup, we can tell which direction the game was heading because Barcelona did a weak back line player's and that effected the 18 with the 2 goals recorded from the Atletico side, the red card also contributed but at least when Barcelona was in form that kind of outcome could have not happened to them.

What am I seeing??? Atletico Madrid is angry, a revenge for the last meeting against Barcelona. I can't believe this is happening at Spotify Camp Nou, and no thanks to the red card issued to Pau Cubarsí, Barcelona would know the importance of the guy in their team now. Just shortly after he was sent off, Atletico scored their first goal and Barcelona team has never remained the same. I don't think they can score a goal with the way things are going, let alone equalizing or even win the match again.

At this point, it is pretty clear that Barcelona don't have good stickers,
They obviously had more shots than that of Atletico Madrid, but the shots are not like that of a professional strike at all,

Nevertheless with the amount of opportunities and shots I saw in that match it will 100% possible that they can do a comeback on the next match, if only the striker aims and shoots better.

Point of correct, Barcelona has not been kicked out of the Champions League, they only lost the first-leg of the quarter final. This was highly unexpected even though Atletico Madrid is a deserving opponent. The implication now is 2 goals down against them, which could be upturned if the fate is in their favour. But to achieve this would be hard; they should prepare to score many goals and have strong defense.

Their problem is not just about strikers at this point, Barcelona are having issues with their defense as well because they conceded too easily. This is actually a good improvement for atl Madrid, I'm invested to know how far they can go in the champions league, let's see how they perform against Arsenal

I don't think the problem is their defense but the 10-man player they were reduced for, the impact of Pau Cubarsí was greatly felt, and this coupled with the strong team they played against. It can't be easy for any team to survive playing against a worthy rival and still be short of one person in the squad. However, their firepower must be reviewed, as the tension would have been doused a little if Atletico's defence faced fiercer attacks.

Plus the difference isn't huge, it's only two goals which means that it could very well happen without much trouble. I believe the best case would be that we could see this situation be a lot better on the long run for Barcelona. If they can somehow pass this stage, then they could have their player back healthy and have a higher chance.

yes but they can't rely on just one player, football is a team sport and together you win, of course having the individual who can lead you to do well is always useful, who makes the play that changes the game, but i think that Barcelona absolutely has no shortage of champions who can break the deadlock in matches.

However, the return leg could still hold some surprises, things that Barcelona has accustomed us to in recent years, so I'm... not confident that they will win, because I don't care, I'm confident that they will commit and fight.

I personally interpret this match in a very linear and simple way, Barcelona wins.
I'm also ready to make a mini bet, which i never do at this point in the Champions League. To make you understand how convinced i am that Real Madrid will win.

Atletico Madrid did what they had to do so well, they have no chance left in the league, there are only 2 competitions that they still have a chance to win, that's the Copa del Rey & UCL. Their win at Camp Nou was a result of prioritization. Barcelona has many priorities right now, especially in the league. To be honest Barcelona must have something to do to stop Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, because you are right that Atletico Madrid has the potential to win the UCL and Copa del Rey trophies this season, but imagine that Atletico Madrid won the first leg but then we noticed that Barcelona won the second leg of the Copa del Rey 3-0, which was their revenge. Accordingly, we can also imagine that Barcelona might be able to make a revenge comeback again in the second leg of the upcoming Champions League quarter-finals because i believe that will be a decisive match for them to reach the UCL semi-finals.

They would have been happy if they could  share the points in the away match. But Arsenal was lucky. In the end, they were able to secure the victory. Kai havertz scored from martinelli's pass after 90 minutes. When Arsenal won the away match, I hope they will win the home match as well. Arsenal  are very strong at home.

At this stage of the competition, no club deserves to be underrated. If Atlético Madrid were able to make it to the semi-finals, it means that they have the capacity to withstand any club. Arsenal stands out as the best in the competition right now, but Atletico have a very experienced coach who has mastered European competitions. Arsenal's struggle to win against Sporting shows that they are not invincible. A well-organized and disciplined club will become the champoin.

Everyone is beginning to understand that brutal setpiece tactics they've been using to win games and sometimes it only helped them to secure a point instead of the three points. Arsenal understand what getting the whole points means, especially in the Premier League so instead of to risk playing a strategy that would backfire, they're now using a,different approach that would make them win games comfortably and get all the points.

 Arsenal did well to try win Sporting in their home it's a big advantage for them ahead of the second leg when Sport Lisbon come to England, they have a good record at home so i believe they'll still win Sporting and qualify for the next phase.

And how can people be so sure that Arsenal has secure a chance of making it to the semi final, to me i think Sporting CP is still got some chance of making it to the next round, it's just a goal, and Sporting CP can actually reciprocate that so people should not be too sure that Arsenal has made it to the next round, and for Atletico Madrid if the should get pass Barcelona in this round then i can clearly tell if they should meet with Arsenal in the semi final it's never safe for Arsenal not because Diego Simeone is well experience but for the kind of spirit those guys are playing with in the competition.

It should be this way, and I'm expecting a PSG versus Arsenal finals in the end. Arsenal has actually done ¹¹/11 in the Champions League alone this season,  they can beat anyone.

Yes, i also think that by beating Barcelona they can also aim to go very far in the tournament, i think it's a normal thing for them to aspire to success, they were really good, clearly it's also thanks to Simeone who set up a team that didn't have many problems winning, i is sure they found the right lineup.

Real Madrid's performance in the Champions League has been very good so far. They played well in the first leg against Bayern Munich, but couldn't secure the win. Now it's the return leg, and Bayern Munich have the home advantage in Germany. But Real Madrid are used to these tough away games, having played many such matches. If the game is similar to the first, Real Madrid has a chance to win. If Real Madrid wins, at worst the game will go to extra time. I think it will be another great match.

you just need any of barcelona's defence players to be a little careless at any second, and then they get a red card. the match is over for barcelona after any of their players got send out. a team like barça should have a better lineup especially in defence terms.

the fact is that many teams do not understand that matches are won by having a lot of strong players in attack who can do well, but also by having very strong defences, in fact many times matches are won by those who have the best defences, starting above all from the goalkeeper who is fundamental in a team.

Bayern Munich played very well in Bernabeu stadium and won there but they wasted some opportunities for scoring more goals. Certainly, winning at Bernabeu stadium against Real Madrid is a very good result but Bayern Munich would have gotten bigger advantage if they had scored one or two more goals. exactly, you underlined something very important, the fact that Bayern Munich won at the Bernabeu stadium indicates that the return for Real Madrid will be very difficult because they will play in Germany and there won't be Real Madrid fans there, but only Bayern Munich fans to push the team, so it will be even more difficult to recover.
