Liverpool was totally owned in through out the match, I was watching over and over again where PSG were just out in the half of Liverpool and playing as if they were up against a second division team. The way the ball was being passed and tossed around the Liverpool players was something else. The score line didn't reflect the action on the pitch on the side of PSG because they would have a whole more, thanks to the Liverpool goalkeeper for being good last night, because he seemed to be the one that kept the score line this minimal, I saw chances being missed by PSG players both in the first and in the second half which would have put the tie to rest in this first leg.

Surprisingly from the hint of what am getting from this post, it feels like you are doing the same, plus I honestly don't want this whole banter to stop, that's what ignites the passion in football, same way Tottenham drags Arsenal for there lose that's how Barcelona fans or Real Madrid fans as case may be will definitely drag the opposing fan base for any lose.

The Barcelona and Real Madrid Banter is a well known one especially amongst Fans, and it does not seem like one that will end just like that even in this thread, it is normal for Barcelona and Madrid fans to drag each other, it is in the spirit of the game to make healthy arguments and bantas as such.

You are right, rival or derby fans always drag each others teams whenever the other losers. The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona has been on since time immemorial and it will never stop so long as those 2 clubs exists. Even as a Real Madrid fan, I knew the threats Barcelona has and had tipped them to win but surprisingly Atletico Madrid did that underdog thing they always do against Barcelona when it's least expected and I'm still happy. So in this very encounter, a win for either will make me happy, if Atletico Madrid wins, they beat my rival, if Barcelona wins they beat my derby rival so either ways, Real Madrid will be happy but sincerely, I'm more happier whenever Barcelona loses against Atletico Madrid.

It's not wrong to try to take a risk for Atletico if the odds are so high, but I wouldn't consider this a strange opportunity or a trap for both teams, I think the bookies are considering what happened in the first leg, meaning Barcelona defeat that day after they lost one player and even Barcelona was still able to put pressure, this means with a complete player in the second leg, Barcelona has a chance to turn things around, if you remember they did it in the Copa del Rey by scoring 3 goals after losing 4 goals to Atletico Madrid in the first leg, I believe Barcelona chance to qualify is still open.

The first leg match at home with a loss is a huge loss which could have been their moment to take an early lead but the result was very disappointing, the same with Barcelona who was much more disappointing because they could not score a single goal from this match against Atletico Madrid, these two rivals played at their respective homes which did not produce anything, even the second leg I think there is very little hope of winning because their opponents will definitely do even better at home.

We can't be absolutely sure Bayern will eliminate Real Madrid, because the difference between them isn't that big. Things could suddenly change in Real Madrid's favor in Germany. However, I'm almost certain Paris Saint-Germain will win against Liverpool in England and advance to the semi-finals. Whether they face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, Paris Saint-Germain will be fighting to reach the final with their best performance. They are progressing very well towards their goal of winning the Champions League for the second time this year. By the way, Mendes is truly an extraordinary player.

True but in the first leg, Bayern took down Real Madrid with two goals on their own turf... that is a massive advantage and Bayern Munich is in incredible form right now.
Bayern Munich is a fascinating team. The managers change, the players change but the team's mentality and discipline remain exactly the same. they operate like a machine. this club should serve as a model for the rest of the world.

It's actually a surprise how they both played and lost despite being the home team. To be sincere I believed that both Real Madrid and Barcelona could actually do something since they are playing at home, I trusted Barcelona too much to win because of the victories they've had against Atletico Madrid and also the home advantage increased their chances of winning.

For Real Madrid I don't see much hope of a come back because they have a tougher opponent but doesn't rule out the possibility. While for Barcelona they have a less tougher opponent and so they have higher chance of winning but it won't be easy because they will be visiting Atletico away so they need to be very serious to win.

I wouldn’t say Real Madrid are finished after losing to Bayern Munich in this game. If you’ve watched the second half football, you’ll see that Real Madrid created more chances but were just unable to convert it to goals. They’ll meet at Allianz Arena, I won’t be surprised if Real Madrid prevails. It is there thing and I think they can do it again.

I seriously didn’t expect Barcelona to lose that game seeing their most recent performance and head to head result with Atletico Madrid. Maybe the red card caused the defeat, but we shall see well what they can do in the second leg of the game.

Arsenal have the best shot at this quarterfinal games, so qualifying for the semifinals isn’t a big deal for them now. As for Liverpool, I don’t also thing they’ll have a chance against PSG in the second leg to get a qualification.

Even in the match they lost, they where short ten but still yet they had a whole lot of opportunities to score only if they had good strikers,
This is a team that are good at creating goal opportunities, but the execution could be poor sometimes.

I was particularly more disappointed by the performance from Barcelona because I expected that Barcelona should have gotten a win or at least a draw against Athletico Madrid. Just within the weekend Barcelona collected three points from Athletico Madrid, and so I expected that Barcelona will display thesame performance in the champions League. It was unfortunate that Barcelona has to lose this way at home, Barcelona risk losing out of the champions League except, they put up a performance that will be excellent because, Barcelona has to score at least two unreplied goals in the second leg to stand a chance.

The Champions League quarterfinal first leg matches comes with shocking results even though some people expected the results to be like that unless for Barcelona who many expected to defeat Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid got defeated at Santiago which was embarrassing because they were always good in there against Bayern Munich and has never lost to them for more than 20 years at Santiago, but this time, the deadlock was broken as Vincent Kompany boys trashed Madrid 2-1 at the Santiago.
The second leg will be tough because Madrid will want to comeback while Bayern will want to complete what they have started which is to win both home and away.
I am not expecting Madrid to qualify because they don’t have what it takes to defeat Bayern Munich.

Furthermore, I also think Barcelona cannot also make it because Rafinha is out, and their defensive strength has been affected due to the red card, I will expect Atletico Madrid to at least get a draw because I know Diago Semione will do what he knows how to do best which is to defend.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid performance in the champions league is not really giving, I feel like any team who really do great in a match should be able to win the match or atleast show some signing of winning the match. Barcelona disappointed everyone in that match, because loosing against Atletico Madrid is messed up in the champions league, I think this two club should do better in the champions league.

Arsenal were playing against sporting as ur they are playing against a very big club, they were facing difficulties in what they were playing, sporting really gave Arsenal tough time in that match also.

Their recent head 2 head wasn’t that outstanding .. Following the 4-0 defeat, they only had 3-0 in the second leg copa del Rey which was still  a win for Atletico Madrid.

Playing at camp nou was the only unique part and the last time they did which is last week they almost played 1-1 but everyone was expecting something really different for Home Champions league match.

Overall,  Barca has a better head to head record, but sometimes shit happens and one of it was Cubarsi  receiving a red card again.

Arsenal just acted more cautiously considering they were the away team and also that this was the champions league competition which of course had no easy opponents, but they still managed to get a valuable win and in the second leg later with an aggregate advantage and also playing at home their chances of qualifying were very high, I wonder who their opponents would be if they qualified for the semi-finals, could it be Atletico Madrid?

The red card affected Barcelona a lot but Atletico Madrid have things to succeed in Champions League over last ten years with Simeone management. They have very strong ability to suffer attacks of strong opponents like Barcelona, they can have very low ball possession but they have strong mentality to defend well, and wait for opportunities from some counter attacks and beat their opponents down.

They did it with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Liverpool in past seasons under the management era of Simeone and in this season, they just repeated it with this win against Barcelona. Barcelona got a red card but if it is another club, perhaps Barcelona would have not lost the match 0 - 2 like this. Julian Alvarez made a stunning free kick and Sørloth scored a second goal when Barcelona tried to equalize the result.

If not because of the red card Barcelona should have equalize in the match, because they have been doing well even with the red card is just that Don't have luck to score goals that day because even Rashford as miss alot of chances in the first half that can give them led, now they are moving to Madrid to face Atm and the will be very hard for them to score Athletico Madrid without scoring back, let justsee how the second leg will goes. Liverpool is in a very bad state, they’ve not been that satisfying as a team that one would put their full trust on. They were far better than this even last season, even if they never made it to the finals of the champions league. Arne Slot in his first season won them the premier league, so it’s surprising that everything changed this season, was it the transfers in and out of the club that caused that really?

This is one of their worst performance in a champions league game for a long time now, I feel bad for them because despite the efforts, they’re not seeing any tangible result or isn’t the efforts not good enough to see good results? It’s just confusing and they need to act fast before it gets too late.

Barcelona would love to win, why wouldn't they, but with their best player gone, and their best defender booked, I am not sure if they have what it takes to win. If they had %100 healthy and not booked, best team out there, then yeah they would be able to easily win and probably got o semi finals, but with this many injuries and issues, and bookings, I think the missing players will mean a lot.

Yamal will try to do some wonders, but that kid is only 18 years old right now, he can't carry the load all by himself, give him a few years and he will get better probably, or at least he should but until then I do not think that it would be possible for this season. ATM will probably keep them not scoring and defend like crazy.

You take historical head to head and the first thing that comes to my mind (I didn't check it) is that you probably compare games from all competitions. It is a difference whether I CAN win 0-2 in a La Liga game, or whether I MUST win in a Champions League game to tie the round.

This is going to be a highly tactical game by Atletico and an extremely attack focused game by Barcelona and most importantly, if in La Liga Barcelona leas 0-1 in Madrid, Barcelona can just play for ball possession and they would. Here they would be out of the competition and hence, you will see a furious, nonstop attacking Barcelona team when they are one goal behind (although having the lead).

Barcelona knows they need a perfect night. Nothing less than that, and it was once again a strong proof how quickly everything can go south because of one stupid, but fatal mistake. That red card can happen to any team and it shifts roles of who is favourite within a blink of an eye.
