Unfortunately, Milan is obsessed with Inter, and at the start of every season they declare they'll win the Scudetto and that it will be their number one objective. Like every great team, that will be the goal they want to achieve, but unfortunately they don't have the right players for that. It happened once, but in my opinion, it was Inter who lost the Scudetto, and they were incredibly lucky that season with Pioli as coach.

Obsessed with Inter or Juventus is not a problem, because this can be a way to motivate team play well in every match. Unfortunately, obsession  will never enough to fix team condition. Coach have role to prepare strategy and bring quality player, but Milan not like that, have obsession to compete with Inter but the player that coach get not match with his need for the team. So, beside coach strategy problem, I believe player transfer process in AC Milan also not maximum.

And let's look at Milan last season, they were only able to finish in the top 8, and now after Allegri came they are back to competing for first place, although in the end at key moments, namely when approaching the end of the season, they lost a lot of points and were far behind, but the fact that they were able to compete again indicated that there was real progress from Allegri. Milan problem is not entirely the coach but also the lack of quality players. Give Allegri some money in the transfer market, I'm pretty sure Milan can do much better for next season. Allegri ability has not run out and after all this is his first season with Milan so it would be wrong if Milan fired him.

Are they really competing for the 1st place you think? They aren't even related to the title race mate. They are literally 18 points behind Inter as they started getting really poor results for a long time.

Their productivity is like a joke. Their number of goals is only 50 after a whole season... Their defense is also not in good shape considering they've conceded 32 goals. They need improvements in various areas of the squad this summer.

Only 2 games to go till the end of the season, but we could still see some changes in the top, in places 2-6 (Champions League/Europa League places).
Both Juve and Milan can potentially attack the 2nd place, currently occupied by Napoli, but I don't that's likely as Napoli's remaining games are not the hardest one. This Sunday, they play away against the weakest in the league Pisa, who are guaranteed to get relegated, and in the last round, Napoli are playing at home against 10th Udinese.

I think the most interesting is the fight for the 4th place (last UCL spot). Milan is currently 4th, but both Roma and Como are still with real chances of getting there. Milan have only won one of their last 5 league games, while Roma only failed to win one out of their last 5. Both clubs have 67 points.
Beating Lazio tomorrow can be a bit of a challenge to Roma, but I don't think they will have much problem winning against Verona next week.

obsession is still needed even if it is only just for ambition to win the match. i know its not required in football for all matches, but it can be a  motivation to give the best dedication in playing. while Milan only have obsession but not with the player quality, and coach strategy which is not maximum when applied by the players in the match, that why AC Milan not consistent with their performance. Allegri success in Juventus is not purely because of quality Juventus players, but also they are able to execute the coach strategy well. IMO.

I agree, if Milan not ready to win the league or playing in UCL next season, i believe even they are get UCL spot, i think they will eliminated early

AC Milan was sealing their win against Genoa while Juve got a dramatic lose against Fiorentina. I think Juve is the team that is in danger to miss UCL next season.
Juve is at 6th, while none of their competitors are getting hard fixtures.

However, a small chance is still there if Cagliari can hold Milan with draw while they'er winning their game against Torino. You know how Milan has always found it difficult to beat Cagliari, and their h2h often ended with draw.
So they can qualify to UCL due to higher GD than Milan. The last match week is gonna be a dramatic story.

If there’s any justification for this loss that could help Fiorentina stay in Serie A, they shouldn’t have to sacrifice themselves.

In the final match, Juventus will play away against Torino. Meanwhile, AS Roma will face Hellas Verona. On paper, it’s difficult for Juventus to overtake Roma’s position because Hellas Verona has very little chance of securing a win.
Juventus’s chances of making the Champions League, as you said, will be dashed. Juventus will have to settle for the Europa League.

Am not really worried about Juventus because I wasn't expecting anything less from them due to their inconsistent run this season despite being one of the biggest club in the Serie. My main concern is about Como, I wasn't expecting to see Como decline so badly close to the end of the season and this may cost them almost all they have worked hard for this season, they would have being in the UCL position if only they held on tightly and didn't drop points but unfortunately the best they could hope for is either the Europa or the conference league.

They absolutely must win both; a draw could have serious consequences for Milan, who were built to win the Scudetto and now find themselves 18 points behind league leaders Inter. It's been an extremely disappointing season for them; they had no European commitments and are miserably failing to meet all their seasonal objectives.

The important question is, if they fail, will they blame Allegri? He's a coach I respect, and getting rid of him for that would be a mistake in my opinion.

 I don't know if they've truly reached a balance, it seems to me they're in complete disarray, spending millions every year and then achieving absolutely nothing. I can see what happened at Moratti's Inter, but he bought the best players and won nothing. Here they spend millions upon millions on half-assed players.

Milan will always be Milan, even when they’re having a rough patch, but they’ve won a league title in recent years and are still a force to be reckoned with.

I’m really surprised with this result from Juventus, losing to Fiorentina at this point in the season where the fight for the champions league spot is heated…that’s really disappointing and terrible. Now Juventus have the same points as Como but Como are ahead of them in the standings and I’m sure Como would win their last game of the season, so even if Juventus win their next and last game they’ll still finish below Como and wouldn’t get tge Champions League slot expect is Roma didn’t win their last game which is unlikely and even so, Como would be the one to get the Champions League spot not Juventus.

So this loss today was a really big mistake by the juventus team today.

Let's be honest, Juventus with this kind of performance is more of a europa league team. Unfortunately, that's just how it is. From a club that won seven titles in a row to playing like this now, it's honestly unbelievable. We're going to have an exciting end to the season, and right now even Napoli isn't safe in second place, they're only 3 points ahead of Milan. Como climbed up to 5th place with this win, and if Roma drops points, we might even see Como in the UCL next season

Well I don't think Juventus may make huge difference at standing as after last win already como overtake them and now they officially have no chance to play UCL next season, while Napoli as expected won the crucial match and now regardless of thier next match results they have officially secure thier spot at league as well as champions league. While regarding Fourth position I do believe both Roma and como has weak opponent to face so they Gona grab thier points quite easily and nothing will make difference at table in term of position shuffle.

I thought Milan Can finished below Juventus but after watching the Fiorentina humiliation I thought Juventus perfect spot will below Milan Huh Juventus forest defeat this season they are so bad in that match I thought Juventus can draw and show how managed 1 point but they can even move has head in front of Fiorentina . Juventus last match are against Torino and it's a difficult fixture idk Juventus can grab any point against Torino. But If you Juventus lose they will be remains in the European Top 6 because the point difference between Top 6 and Top 7 are 10 point gap and only one matchs is remaining.  But we expect Juventus to be in the Top 4 but it's not gonna happen  let's see how next week matchday can finished.

It was most certainly a shock for me too because I really expected Juventus to put up a fight knowing fully well that their hope of qualifications for the champions league is very slim and short and every win would have counted for them and they would have been on 71 points and above the other teams up to the position of 3rd but now there is no way possible because they would hoping on the teams above them to lose which is very unlikely too.
