Who do you think Milan will bring to replace Leao? Amorim has been using the 3-4-2-1 formation in recent friendlies though. Maybe he isn't thinking of playing with wingers? But he would still need a backup plan if this strategy doesn't work out. That's why I think they will sign a new left winger. They can handle it for a reasonable price if they manage to sell Leao for around €50m. so much confusion at AC Milan's house If they continue to get confused like this, maybe they'll lose the black and red stripes and be left in their underwear. Milan has now been reduced to a meme, not a serious team. How sad indeed. we'll see... I'm curious to know if they can do even worse than this..

It seems that you're expecting too much from Milan which is why you're being disappointed with their performance. I don't know what's happening to the team that they ain't that serious anymore. I hope they coach can fix the team because they need to get back on their feet and fight for the trophy. I cannot really tell what will come out from them this new season.

Milan doesn't make me feel like they are preparing much better for next season. I'm not even impressed with their transfers so far and I'm criticizing the amount spent for Gonçalo Ramos like a lot!! A new manager and a new journey... But Amorim's work is really difficult unless this squad gets better. I don't find it strong enough to fight for a Serie A title right now. Milan, please prove me wrong though.

Yes, Rafael Leão has had, shall we say, some issues with the Milan management, most likely linked to his contract renewal and, above all, the financial terms. He’s right to leave; he’s already given so much to Milan and could have given more, but given the problems he’s encountered with the various managers who’ve come in since Stefano Pioli, he hasn’t had any consistency. At Galatasaray, he’ll form a very promising strike partnership.

They can handle it for a reasonable price if they manage to sell Leao for around €50m. I haven’t the faintest idea who might take Rafael Leão’s place; certainly, if he is sold, the club’s management will have to make a major signing to fill the gap left by the Portuguese player. Amorim has used a formation that Milan are not very used to, but we’ll only find out at the start of the season whether the 3-4-2-1 will be retained or whether he’ll revert to fielding wingers. It remains to be seen who will play in the attacking midfield role behind the striker.

Milan’s management isn’t seriously working to improve the team. In fact, many people have criticized the management’s policies in running the team. Just think about it, Milan’s transfer dealings have been a complete mess. Milan has spent a lot of money on players who aren’t very good. Because of that, I’m very skeptical about Milan’s ability to win the Serie A title this season.

I watched the match between Inter and Juventus in Sydney on TV. It was just a friendly, mind you, but Juventus were pretty embarrassing. Lots of passing, lots of attempted crosses, but zero shots on target, one goal by accident, but honestly, nothing to write home about. Things changed a bit when Alajnbegović and Kolo Muani came on, but apart from that, absolutely nothing. Inter didn’t do much, but from the little they did, they could easily have scored four goals. I don’t see things looking good this year for the Turin team.

Chelsea are currently beating AC Milan 3-0 in their pre season game, it been a a very disappointing display from Milan so far, they have hardly created anything in this game. Amorim is still yet to win a pre season game, they have drawn their last 2 and now they are losing to Chelsea. I know it will pre season and we are not suppose to be worried but I’m yet to be impressed by Amorim.
Chelsea on the hand have been good, joao Pedro had a very good game as he scored twice in the game, Milan concede twice from a corner kick.
What your take on Amorim job so far, and where do you feel they will b by the end of the season.

I didn't see the match to be honest, but they're just friendly matches that are useful for getting some minutes under our belts before the championship starts. Obviously they give a lot of indications but they don't always reflect the reality of the facts. However, I remain firm in my opinion: these summer tours do nothing but weigh down the players. It would be more interesting to have a competition like the English FA Cup. However, no team automatically qualifies and qualifying matches are played instead of friendlies. I think it would increase the appeal of Serie A, and all teams can aspire to win a trophy! Even third-tier teams. Am I fantasizing too much?

They lost their pre season game to the Chelsea, but all of their conceded goals were coming from the poor gameplay by Chelsea. They don't have the squad to play the way Amorim's thinking. I think they will be doomed again this season. Other than it so many shoots recorded by Chelsea is the output from how they obviously needs two more proper CBs who can play like Amorim wanted. Leao is also washed, and it gets worsen with Goncalo Ramos signing, which is unnecessary. So it feels Amorim 2.0 is here again. I have lesser expectation to Milan, and it feels they will finish out of top 4 again.

so much confusion at AC Milan's house If they continue to get confused like this, maybe they'll lose the black and red stripes and be left in their underwear. Milan have played 3 friendly matches so far. "How about the results?" you can say. Let me answer it. 2 draws and a loss... Chelsea really destroyed them yesterday by the way by 3-0. What did Milan do on the pitch? Simply nothing! Milan can even finish the Serie A in a worse place this season with this kind of effort.
3-4-2-1 is Amorim's favourite which could be bad news for Milan. But I hope he doesn't insist on it. We saw it didn't work at all against Chelsea yesterday. Not much different in previous friendlies either.

Milan look even less inspiring after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in a friendly It's clear that this is a friendly and the lineups are far from optimal, but with equal possession, Chelsea had 8 shots on goal, while Milan had 0. This gives us something to think about. And it seems Amorim also commented after the game that many players will be sold. Apparently, he also understands that the results are unsatisfactory – two draws, one loss, and a game against United is coming up.

Milan are by no means used to playing with this formation and strategy; it will take a long time before the whole team hits their stride and gets used to the new formation and manager. If Amorim sticks with this formation, I don’t think he’ll even make it to November and will be sacked – Milan are good at that sort of thing. Unfortunately, Ruben Amorim is not a type of manager that accepts tactical advice from his coaching crew. He's the type of coach that does the same thing and expect a different result always. During his days in Manchester United, he insisted on using many players out of their natural positions which affected the team largely and kept them down the table. Fans and players may complain but he is likely not going to change his stand. If the management has any option of sacking him, then it's better they activate it now when it's still not late. He will only be playing the Europa and will possibly proceed beyond the quarter finals before he will get kicked out if he meets good opponents because how could he loose by 3 goals to Chelsea, when they meet Manchester United next, how many will he concede? Fans on social media have already started chanting that he will ruin Milan just like he ruined Manchester United and that is a very bad way to start his new job.

A new manager and a new journey... But Amorim's work is really difficult unless this squad gets better. I don't find it strong enough to fight for a Serie A title right now. Milan, please prove me wrong though. I have always said it, since the transfer window opened and I saw the caliber of players Milan were going for I knew they will still have an awful season. Bringing in a new coach, definitely we need to see some exciting names being linked to the club, but instead it still the same. We know Amorim love to play a back 3, which I don’t feel is a bad one but then, the board needs to give the players that will make it work. Milan look even less inspiring after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in a friendly It's clear that this is a friendly and the lineups are far from optimal, but with equal possession, Chelsea had 8 shots on goal, while Milan had 0. It was really a awful game by Milan, Chelsea were dominant in aspects of the game. They created a lot of chances, they played well and even controlled the game throughout the entire game. Milan have a lot to improve on. From the pre season games so far I don’t think Milan will be a team that will challenge for the scudetto next season, a top will even be a good achievement for them, if nothing changes.

By the way here is the Coppa Italia draw: Don't you think this format isn't that great for a domestic cup actually? I know that it's similar in other European leagues too. But maybe some changes could make these tournaments more attracting. How about a league format similar to the CL but with less matches? We can watch semi finals with the 4 teams qualified from the phase and then we go on till the end.

The Italian Cup has always bored me I think that the teams don't even try very hard because it doesn't have all this fame, maybe if they put more money up for grabs it would become more attractive I prefer to watch the UEFA Champions League, a competition where teams (because of the money) give their all..
