It looks like they have changed direction and started being interested in Noa Lang instead. Most probably because of Lookman's being much more expensive than him.

Lang is also a good player despite his poor season at Napoli. He looked great at PSV. Maybe he can also meet the expectations for Galatasaray.

No offense, but I'm wondering where Galatasaray's management gets so much money to sign players. They already have a very expensive player, Osimhen, and they still want to make more signings? Galatasaray has more sponsors than other teams. For example, Fenerbahçe's previous sponsor was Ali Koç, who mismanaged the club for eight years. Its current best sponsor is a yogurt brand called Chobani, which is highly controversial in Türkiye. Furthermore, Galatasaray consistently competes in the Champions League in Europe and earns good money from it. They are taking risks today, but their target is to finish the season as champions and earn money in the Champions League in Europe. Furthermore, they are paying the transfer fee for Osimhen in installments. In other words, the club spends a lot of money during the transfer period, but they are not as uncontrolled as people think...

Signing a player that's 30 years old with a big amount of money is a risk because the player will be prone to injury and he can't give his maximum performance, but I won't blame Fenerbahçe why they want to sign Sorloth from Atletico Madrid. I could remember Robin Van Persie helped Manchester United lift their 20th title when he was close to 30 years old, so if Fenerbahçe knows that Sorloth can help them achieve greatness, I am backing Fenerbahçe to sign Sorloth.

Robin Van Persie later transferred to Fenerbahçe and was a disappointment. He constantly suffered from injuries and earned money while sitting on the sidelines. Sörloth has shown impressive performances in Türkiye in the past. That's why Turkish teams are very interested in him. However, I think the transfer fee mentioned for him is too high. If Turkish teams wait a few more seasons, they can sign Sörloth as a free player. He is a typical pivot striker. I think he can still do well in the Turkish league even at 32-33 years old...

I believe by the time Fenerbahçe signed Robin Van Persie, he had nothing to offer in football because he had passed his prime, and as a player who's prone to injury, Fenerbahçe shouldn't have signed Robin Van Persie because he wouldn't be fit to play for Fenerbahçe, so I blame Fenerbahçe for what ever they suffered at the hand of Robin Van Persie. If Turkish teams think the transfer fee for Sörloth is too high and they aren't willing to pay for the fee, they should wait until he becomes a free agent so that any Turkish team Sörloth accepts to play for can sign him for free.

I think it is too early to sell the player. Noa Lang is still adapting in Napoli. I think he needs more time to show his worth. Napoli signed him for €28 million from PSV. Will Galastataray be willing to pay such an amount for the Netherlands international? He earns about €2.8 million per season; the Turkish side can afford it. He is a good player who could help the club in its quest to win trophies this season.

It's not really about "being able to afford", because teams can make debt, just look at Barcelona lol. It's more about "is he worth it", because paying nearly 30 for a player at that calibre isn't looking like a smart move. If they got lookman instead then I would say there would be more chance, plus he is Nigerian and would work very well with Osimhen, would allow easier adaptation process as well.

This is why I think Lookman is a better choice, even though he could be more expensive, the result you get would be worth all of it as well. Noa Lang isn't a bad player neither, I just think he is worth something south of 20 and not as much as these claims, that would be way too much and not really be worth it to pay that much.

I think Turkish teams should stop bringing back players who have previously played in Turkey and had some success. Fenerbahçe did this most recently with the Anderson Talisca transfer. I don't find this transfer logical because Talisca played his best years at Beşiktaş. He's getting older and is far from his former performance level. Despite this, giving him such a high contract is completely illogical. If they experience a similar problem with the Sörloth transfer, it will be a financial burden.

The match was better than I expected. Especially the first half tempo was much higher than the league standards. To be honest, Trabzonspor was a bit weak. But they played well after 2-0. That missed chance at 2-1 was the turning point. Unfortunately, Galatasaray can't give their fans a comfortable match even when they lead 2-0

Maybe he can't give the exact same contribution Osimhen gives to the team. Because of not being able to run and not having the same play style.

But his surplus weight still hasn't prevented him from being the top scorer foreign player in Galatasaray history.

Comparing Icardi with Osimhen is a big mistake. When Osimhen plays 3 defenders must watch him every second. He creates so much space for other players even if he doesn't score. His contribution is huge for the team. But Icardi only score when the match is already 3-0 or 4-0. He cannot save the team when GS is losing. Opponent defenders are not even afraid of him anymore because he is too slow. Yes, he did great things in the past but now he is done. We can't compare him to a beast like Osimhen

Yeah yeah Mauro Icardi used to be a big player for Galatasaray but his form has dropped since the arrival of Osimhen and his injury, he’s no longer as deadly as he was. I guess his form started dipping even before the arrival of Victor Osimhen that’s why Galatasaray was looking for a striker. It’s always good to have two good strikers in the team right now Mauro Icardi has a lot to do to step up in the position.

Today they (Galatasaray) were impressive against Trabzonspor demolishing them 4:1 maybe without their star striker, another Nigerian Paul Onuachu they had no teeth to bite.

Really an amazing match in the super cup so many chances bit Galatasaray was clearly better and really destroyed in the end Trabzonspor and it could have been a lot worst. Trabzonspor had some chances in the first half but just didnt take them and later it was too late. They were able to score one but Galatasarays attack in the second half was just really good. If Galatasaray plays like this in the final surely they will win it

Last night Galatasaray played very well and earned a comfortable win. They look very well prepared for the rest of the season.
Yunus, Sané and Barış were very good yesterday.
Icardi made a great assist.
Eren Elmalı returned with a goal after a long time.

I watched the Galatasaray-Trabzonspor Super Cup match yesterday. I couldn't understand why Trabzonspor was so bad. There's no trace of the team that played magnificent football a month ago and was close to the top of the league. They're terrible. The absence of Ulai and Onuachu shouldn't have had such a negative impact on Trabzonspor.

The Trabzonspor coaching staff should rewatch Galatasaray's third goal and show it to the players. A team aiming for the championship shouldn't concede such an easy goal. If you give them opportunities like that, you won't see the championship. Trabzonspor lost the match with a humiliating 4-1 performance. Galatasaray advanced to the final, and today we'll see who their opponent will be.
