It's a derby week now!

Beşiktaş are going to host a derby against Galatasaray this Saturday. For now I see bookmakers favouring Galatasaray by a really small margin. But to tell the truth, I don't see it the same way...

I think Beşiktaş are one step ahead in this match. They haven't been losing for 13 weeks in the Super League! Their transfer moves in winter have changed the team in a positive way. I won't be surprised if they win the derby.

There will be plenty of "important" games for both teams, like for example Galatasaray playing against Besiktas this week, who haven't lost a game in months, is a very good and obviously important game for them. However the most important game will definitely be the game between them, because that will make sure that one team gets zero points while the other gets three, and that's like a six point game.

Obviously they can draw in that game but I doubt that would be the case, we should probably see them have a win because both teams will work really hard for it, to get the season closer. Until then, the whole point for both teams should be just not lose until the other one does. It's going to be VERY close by the end if you ask me, like less than five points for sure.

There's a derby but before that Beşiktaş has a cup match. First, they need to beat Çaykur Rizespor tomorrow, finish top of the group and advance to the quarter finals. Then they can think about the league match.

He joined Beşiktaş at the start of the season because he's a huge Beşiktaş fan. Under normal circumstances, a move to Inter or Arsenal wouldn't have been surprising for him... Beşiktaş has become a better team with its new signings, but it's still a difficult team to predict. If Galatasaray didn't have such a busy schedule, they would be the clear favorites for this match...

imo Orkun has been good since day one but nowadays he’s not just playing for himself he’s lifting the whole team up. Now that his defensive burdens have decreased, his offensive skills are really shining. No matter what task they give him he never shies away from running or getting into challenges. He’s a beautiful player to watch.

As a Galatasaray fan I think you should be worried about winning the league title instead of winning a champions league game. The chances of winning the champions league is very low so they should rather focus on winning the league that's easier. Losing the derby could affect them and reduce the point gap between them and Fenerbahce. They have a pretty tight fixture so they can't take any chances now and lose to Besiktas.

Liverpool is not at their best now so if they can replicate past performance against them they can win them and they should try to win both and not sacrifice one game for the other. What if they lose to Besiktas and also lose to Liverpool, they will be under pressure and still they failed in the champions league.

This derby has significant importance for top teams because in case of a loss for Galatasaray, they could give a chance to inconsistent Fenerbahce to cut the difference of points while Fenerbahce is going to host Samsunspor. Both have had their last 2 games as draws. Besiktas is doing good, they have a 17-match undefeated streak, and their Super League performance is also impressive, they are currently one of the best teams in the league.

Their attack is doing a good job, but Galatasaray has good improvement in defense, which will help them have top spot odds. For Besiktas, it's juicy at @2.7, but here I will go with double chance because it's looking better and also has good odds at @1.5.

If Galatasaray's opponent this week were Fenerbahçe, I would say Galatasaray could win easily. But Beşiktaş is a very different team, they have a very unpredictable playing style. They can play particularly well in derby matches, which is why predicting the Beşiktaş-Galatasaray match is really difficult.
