Galatasaray are moving step by step toward the championship and increasing the points gap with their rivals.

Tonight they defeated Başakşehir 3–0 and extended the gap with their closest rival to 7 points. We really have very high-quality and talented players. Victor Osimhen almost scored another very aesthetic goal, but his shot hit the crossbar. The goals from Wilfried Singo, Osimhen, and Alberto Costa Nhaga secured the win.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor defeated Çaykur Rizespor 1–0 at home and increased their points total to 57. From now on, they will likely be competing with Fenerbahçe for second place.
If Fenerbahçe continue like this, there is a very high chance they could finish the league in third place.

Yes, Galatasaray first half result wasn't not impressed and I was expecting them to even drop points in the match because of their Champions League match against Liverpool, but Basaksehir red card in the second half gave Galatasaray the needed advantage to turn things around and won the won 3-0. I gave Basaksehir three goals to win Galatasaray, but my bet ticket cut as Galatasaray won the match 3-0.

We can start the celebrations for the league title from this day maybe!    I know there are still 8 more weeks but you know it's very difficult for Fenerbahçe to close the gap from here with this playing style.

If they managed to keep at least one of En-Nesyri and Duran in the squad - or signed a good forward instead - then things could be more different for them. They are just struggling mainly because of not having a good striker in the recent matches.

Fenerbahce have lost the privilege of winning the Turkish League, I don't think there is a slightest hope for them, a team competing against Galatasaray is worth extra effort by winning more consecutively, losing to 14th and 16th ranked teams are signs that they cannot withstand the first place pressure and will be forced to finish second place.

Turkish Super League team Galatasaray have practically guaranteed the championship as we can now see from the observation that Fenerbahce have earned 57 points after 26 matches, also you take note Trabzonspor are also competing in the Turkish league with the same number of points.

All in all, the number one team in the Turkish league is rightfully leading their domestic league and UEFA Champions League equally and it can be said without a doubt their Champions League ambitions continue as we know they have already defeated the traditional Liverpool in the home round of the first leg of the Champions League. Also they have an aesthetic victory against Istanbul Basaksehir team 3-0 yesterday, however I personally think that the goal of this Turkish league team now is to destroy Liverpool in the second leg of the UCL round of 16.

fenerbahçe fans can come up with flimsy excuses to delude themselves, even in the face of the most dire circumstances. having strong faith is one thing; viewing the situation through rose-colored glasses is another. i don’t know if they’re saying the situation is “good for them” while being fully aware of what’s happening, but either way, it’s a bad thing. instead of criticizing the team and learning from its failures, they choose to console themselves. they haven’t given up these mistakes for years.

whether fenerbahçe loses, wins, gets eliminated, or advances to the next round, the fans always take it in the most positive light, and that’s not a good thing. i think they’ll be open to improvement once they realize this.

It's just yet another similar season to previous few seasons. For a while it looks very close but then it ends up being with Galatasaray becoming champions. Every season for a while Fenerbahce looks like they are going to win the league, and they are very close to Galatasaray and sometimes even ahead. Then spring comes, and starting from March Fenerbahce starts to play terribly and gets worse.

This is why I highly doubt that it is going to be any different next season as well, for the past 4 years they did the same and I am sensing that it could be similar next year too, can't see a reason why that would change. Unless Fenerbahce actually gets someone who knows how to build a decent squad, you can't compete against Galatasaray with such a lowly squad that Fenerbahce has.

I would say that it's already over. Not that it wasn't over before, when Fenerbahce failed to win in the last two games that was already a proof that it was over but that was more psychologically. Right now, look at the situation and you will see that it's really over.

Galatasaray is a club that is doing wonderful at UCL and they even managed to beat Liverpool, so it's clear that they are the best team there this season, well in most seasons. Fenerbahce now needs to realize they can't just throw money at a problem and hope to get a title, they need to figure out a way to get better players, because their transfers are all terrible.

For a team that had barely 3 wins all season haven’t lost 17 of their fixture and drawn 5, Fenerbahçe out to have taken full advantage of a fixture with the bottom league team in be table but no, that wasn’t the case. In fact, they had a hard time getting balls on target and made Karagumruk feel like the best team there is. They didn’t had to do too much, didn’t apply a lot of pressure, just made sure they held their defense line while waiting on Fenerbache to create openings that they could use.
The second goal was so effortlessly put in the net, allowing the set piece to go through all their legs to the second bar and just a tap in to finish. Galatasaray have got the league unchallenged for sure.

Personally, the team I was rooting for is Galatasaray but I really liked their title race battle with Fenerbahce. There was a time in recent weeks that Fenerbahce was very close to leveling up on points with Galatasaray but they blew it with 2 draws. Just as I thought they'd want to make up for their mistake by winning the worst team in the league, they lost horribly. And it was a comfortable 2-0 win.

Btw, I just learnt that they haven't won the Super Lig title since the 2013-14 season and they had a chance to make it 20 this season.

Beşiktaş made good use of their opponent being reduced to ten men very early and won the match 2–0.
They played well and secured a comfortable victory.
Emmanuel Agbadou has a very high chance of receiving a red card in upcoming matches because he plays very aggressively and commits many fouls.

Kasımpaşa secured an important victory against Eyüpspor. With the three points they earned, they are now above the relegation zone.

Samsunspor won their match, which they played well, with a last-minute goal.
Kayserispor seem to be heading toward relegation.

Normally, 7 points is a gap you can possibly close particularly with a head to head game left. But not with this roster and this coach... this is not that year... Fenerbahçe's issues are turning chronic and becoming an inextricable mess.

Fenerbahce is not on the same level with Galatasaray now if we are going by player to player of both teams, how many of Fenerbahce players will get a playing time in this Galatasaray team? Very few.

 So am not surprised that Galatasaray is far ahead of them in point.
This narrative most people think of is wrong, because a team crashing out in Europe and giving them more time to prepare for games doesn't makes them too good all of a sudden, though they will have more resting time, but it doesn't guarantees anything, so am not that surprised by their league standing now.

Fenerbahçe has had more chances to go to the top of the league ahead of Galatasaray when they were still in the Europa League competition even before they lost to Forest, they were strong in the league but all the times that Galatasaray has failed to win I nthe league they had also had a poor performance and finally they got knocked out in the Europa League they were supposed to be more serious in the league but they lost against a team that is struggling in the league there loss gave Galatasaray more advantage because they increased their gap form 4 point to 7 points a gap that would be difficult for them to catch up.

The financial gap could be wider soon enough if Fenerbahce doesn't start making reasonable transfers. They keep spending their money on players that are older and from Saudi league, and/or going to Saudi league, and they had a few younger and great players in the past, but looking at it right now, they have maybe 2 or 3 of them left, all the others do not have any value at all left.

This is why I think if Galatasaray keeps this up, the money from the title and the UCL will make them richer and success also gives you more ticket sales and sponsors and merch sale, all of which could give them a better position at the top.

Things are going pretty good for us. We are leading the league by a 7-point difference to Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. Maybe it's not over yet but I don't expect any of those 2 clubs to make difficulties for us as of now...

The thing I'm loving the most is the way Okan Buruk is handling these tight fixtures.    He has really improved himself as a coach. No matter we get eliminated by Liverpool in the CL or not this is still going to be a very successful season for us.

We can now say the league champion is decided, you're right about that. We've been expecting a similar ending for a few weeks, and after Fenerbahçe's consecutive point losses, we can say the league has lost its excitement. I don't think they'll go any further in the Champions League, but even so far, Galatasaray has achieved great success. There's no reason why they shouldn't win the league this season. Galatasaray has dominated the league for years anyway

The thing is that Fenerbahçe can even finish the league in the 3rd place which sounds terrible. We are ahead of Trabzonspor only thanks to head-to-head results.

Both teams still have 2 derby matches against Galatasaray and Beşiktaş. Maybe the results of those matches could be the decider on who will finish ahead.

I have started talking like there is no way we are catching up with Galatasaray. Because we really can't if we are playing this bad even against Karagümrük.
