NFF does not value what they have; otherwise, they would have called all the ex-footballers to have a meeting with them to hear from them what they think best fits the national team, because they were once there and have seen what it takes to build a formidable team.

I don’t even know why the NFF prefer making use of foreign coaches, maybe they think we don’t have qualified coaches in the country that can coach the team? with the foreign coaches which they do sign, there is no improvement in the super eagles performance, just imagine that the super eagles can’t qualify for the World Cup, that’s really a bad thing, and the only strong country which is in their group is South Africa, but they can’t win even the weaker teams.

Calling the Ex players won’t be a bad idea, at least the should be able to figure out were the problem is coming from, and how they going to fix the problem, because with the squad the super eagles are having, winning any country in African shouldn’t be something that’s really going to be difficult for them, but we can’t even easily win any country right now, if the super eagles will be winning any match, they will have to struggle.

Was it a form of application before a new coach is being chosen for the super eagles, I never knew that is the format they use to pick manager for the team. If it is an application process and a voting process thing, it was suppose to be very transparent and they can get to chose the best coaches base on past record and achievements in their managerial career. If Nigeria want to be using politics in doing everything, then they will most probably not get to achieve anything good when it gets tougher. If this man was not selected based on merits, then we are just seeing the beginning of our failures with him now as more will come again in the future if he remains as the coach.

I heard about the strange method used by the NFF in electing the super eagles coach. The truth is, I couldn't even react to it because I know that the NFF keeps finding ways to interfere negatively with our sports in general, so I wasn't surprised at all because not surprises me anymore as far as our sport in general is concerned. Our qualification for the world cup is currently hanging on one leg just because we didn't go for the best.

How will I explain to this current generation that the Super eagles of Nigeria was once the toughest team that no other wants to play against. I don't know how will get here, but the NFF definitely did it.

I've been saying that the biggest problem with African football is the corruption in the football federations. What these football officials do is truly cruel. They don't care about the entire nation; they choose coaches they can manipulate and make shady deals. Look how well-organized the South African Football Federation is.

They chose a Belgian coach, but they chose him in 2021, and he's been the coach of the South African national team for four years. This means he knows South African football and its players very well. I haven't seen any players as famous as Victor Osimhen on the South African national team. But even so, the South African national team will qualify for the World Cup, and I highly doubt that the Nigerian football officials will resign along with the coach.

Well iirc, Oshimen played for Napoli for some of their champions especially the first leg of the 23/24 round of 16 between Napoli vs Barcelona where Oshimen the goal that made Napoli draw level. If Napoli has move farther in that UCL that year, maybe we would've seen more of him. Let's just hope that Galatasaray is a team that can help him (as much as he helps them) get some UCL bragging rights and some UCL glory while he's there.

Good to see that you really understood my point here. Aside from the Super Eagles, is there any other team that represents Nigeria in football competition that uses a foreign coach? Yet all of them are doing perfectly well in their tournaments and also lifting trophies down home, but with the squad in the national team, to win a game is very difficult for them, even with the presence of a foreign coach, yet they still can not win a match. This shows you that the problem is not about a foreign coach after all. Equavon led the team when he was there, and they performed well.

With the squad we have, a good local coach could do the job perfectly well and go a long way with the team. Somehow, I noticed that the team players are somehow divided as well; they don't cooperate in games, and that is another thing that needs to be attended to, because when there is no cooperation, there is no unity, and it would be very difficult for them to win a match like that.  Look at the match history of our Falcons in the past match they won the AFCON, You could see the cooperation amongst them and passion, drive, and zeal to play and win matches. They were very united in one course and they achieved it. Maybe their coach talked sense into them, and it was a local coach, and he did perfectly well.

As for the ex-players, they too have seen what is going on in the team, but the NFF needs to host them; they are stakeholders because they are ex-players, and they know where to come in as well to advise the NFF on possible measures to put in place to further stop this mess going on.  Better still, the NFF bylaws should be amended to only allow ex-players or sportsmen to contest or hold sensitive positions because they would do perfectly well while bringing in their expertise into the NFF and the Team as a whole. I believe the need for a foreign coach is not too necessary, looking at the caliber of players we have.  With  a local coach, we can still do better.

At the end of world cup qualification should be right enough to evaluate Eric Chelle stay in the club. He didn't show sign to succeed in the team for long term, his performance doesn't speak enough for him to improve with the team, instead we've been moving downwards meanwhile Nigeria are desperate to participate in the world cup.

Eric Chelle will be having similar faith as Finidi George, they both couldn't hold the team for the longest and was forced to submit resignation.

About Osimhen and Galatasaray in the Champions League, the injury he sustained from the qualifiers we played for world cup hindered him from featuring yesterday for his club.  Galatasaray were defeated by five goals and they were only able to score one goal. Had Osimhen featured their goal scoring chances would have improved considerably.

Victor Osimhen is a key player for both the super eagles and Galatasaray, and he will be missed. Since Victor Osimhen was injured and not available to feature for Galatasaray against Eintracht Frankfurt, i knew Galatasaray couldn't handle Eintracht Frankfurt, and i used the opportunity to bet in favour of Eintracht Frankfurt. Galatasaray even performed better than Eintracht Frankfurt, but the absence of Victor Osimhen made it so easy for Eintracht Frankfurt to defeat Galatasaray. It is reasonable to assume that Victor Osimhen is a key player for the Galatasaray football club but when the Turkish club recently took part in the new UCL against Frankfurt Football Club, this creative player was not included in their squad. So the German league club easily demolished the Turkish club's defense and they left the field with a 5-1 victory in this match. We didn't see anything impressive from the Galatasaray Football Club in this match, they gave a mediocre football performance against the Frankfurt team.

After watching the team's first match in the new season's UEFA Champions League, it seems that the team's progress will be hampered without Victor Osimhen, So maybe this team should start preparing for the upcoming UCL match now because their next UEFA Champions League match will be against PL defending champion Liverpool at their home ground.

Maybe it's  not time to point fingers towards the manager but the NFF. Don't you think it is the perfect time for everyone of them occupying positions to be shown the exit?! Expecting a good result from Eric Chelle as the super eagles head coach is a waste of time and energy because nothing good can come out of him because the teams decisions are not made by him but from the NFF to officials that knows nothing about football but are there to enrich themselves with the funds meant for the teams development. Victor Osimhen is not an appropriative striker but a player which acknowledged and honor himself when there is a high interest on him by a team so actually until his contract is over his mind could be made up even if there are teams that wants to signed him, even if he might think about the transfer window he might only consider it when the club he had in mind to further his career offered him an opportunity. For now we are going to be seeing him with Galatasaray for few more seasons depending his signing with them. In this champions League only hope for a winning coming from Galatasaray when they meet the average quality like them because for Barcelona or Bayern Munich it will be too quick for them to drop out of champions League. Eintrincht Frankfurt shows them some quality they're lacking on there first match with a bigger score.
