Seeing this discussion pop up annoys me more. Let's try to forget about this issue and try to focus on other important football matters, since this case has remained unturned at this particular time, and I doubt if it will again no matter how much cry that we cry here. It's obvious to the majority of football enthusiasts that CAF is a total failure and a corrupt African governing football body that needs to be abolished because of this very act, or it will get sanctioned, or the FIFA body should sanction or call them into order and further investigate this judgment.

A few information i want to know, where is the AFCON trophy currently? Is Senegal still holding the trophy, or has it been moved to Morocco? After CAF asked Senegal to return it, the debate and refusal, i haven't heard any piece of information concerning the latest news. To us who witnessed how everything displayed, we still record Senegal as AFCON champions.

This is one of the reasons why African football hasn't had any significant progress. That final was a disaster, it clearly shows that Caf was supporting Morocco to win the trophy.

Some decisions that the referee was making at the final was just surprising,  it’s was just so obvious that the referee was working for the Moroccan team in the final, and that was why Senegal players decide to leave the field. We saw the irregularities that happened, and even after the referee tried to favour Moroccan team in the match, they couldn’t still get a win in the match. The trophy was handed over to the Senegal players in public, and everyone celebrated them, but CAF is now making some stupid judgement, asking Senegal to return the trophy.

Well in African football leaving the field is common when the referee is being unjust but seeing that at professional level was really surprising, I couldn't believe my eyes. The referee was really being biased, not sure if it was intentional but I guess because Morocco was the host they assumed it was an intentional act just to ensure that Morocco win the trophy. No one knows the truth but it was still wrong for Senegal to leave the pitch. It would have been an interesting game if the referee had acted neutrally.

The match made a lot of football fans disappointed in African football, the officiating was poor and the way Senegal players walked out of the pitch made it even worse, it was as if no one was in control.

The last time we had this discussion, the trophy was still held in Senegal. Senegal has refused to give the trophy to Morocco. If Morocco wants a trophy, AFCON should make a separate trophy for them because this Senegal side has refused to comply with AFCON. Eventually, the entire African nation supports them.

The noise has reduced. There is no news on where the trophy is, and no one is taking it upon themselves to find out what happened with Senegal and Morocco. Maybe the Moroccan players have refused to take it.

The trophy is very much still in Senegal, the last news I heard about it was that they moved the cup to stay under the protection of Senegalese Armed Forces at a military base in Dakar, which was a followup measure to retain possession of the cup following the disputes after the completion of the competition. Senegal refused to hand over the cup to Morocco and I'm fully in support of them.

It will not be the normal starting xi for Chelle the Nigerian coach, A. Adeoye. F. Azeez, K. Igboke, T. Moffi, T. Nnadi, C. Nwaiwu, I. Ogbu, A. Okonkwo, C. Oputa, P. Otele, T. Oyedokun, M. Atata, A. When they failed to qualify for the World Cup the least they can do is to organize a friendly match to keep fit since almost all the leagues they play in Europe has ended. I thought the Nigeria friendly match was between the Super Falcons and  Zimbabwe women football team, I didn't know that the friendly match was between the Super Eagles and Zimbabwe men football team, and that believe made me not to watch the friendly match. But I was please when I checked Livescore and saw that the Super Eagles won Zimbabwe 2-0.

I believe the reason why this case has dwindle down a little is because of how embarrassing it was making African football look, so I believe at a point even CAF had to paddle down a little. But I strongly believe the trophy is still with Senegal because ever since they release a statement that they are the legitimate winners of the trophy, I don't think a follow up statement has been made available to the public that they've relinquished the Trophy to Morocco. If CAF had collected the trophy from Senegal, they would have as well release d a statement, so we are basically still where we are.

So many people are actually overreacting to that friendly match without having the understanding of the purpose behind it, and most of the good players or should i say stars are already on break enjoying their holiday so the players that participated were not even the best. And one thing we actually need to understand is that this friendly match of a thing it is not just about winning alone but they are for building a good squad and discovering players that can fit into the main team later on.

Call it a conspiracy theory or whatever you like but it is time for the Congolese to show up themselves protesting about the ongoing genocide in Congo during the FIFA World Cup Competition to bring awareness to the world and all of a sudden,  it is one fatal outbreak and propaganda to another. It's all fine amd dandy, if they the Congolese will not be allowed into the US, then they should go ahead to reimburse them back every penny. If the story is true and there is ebola outbreak in Congo then FIFA did the right thing, because if they should allow the fans to go to the world cup they will surely spread the virus and when that happens it will be a world problem and a lot of people are going to die, now that Congo has decided to ask FIFA for refund they should refund them their money if possible since there fans won't be going anymore, I believe some fans will be allowed to go so what they should do is to conduct a very good check on them before allowing them.
The Ebola virus is a very dangerous virus and like they say prevention is better than cure so well done to FIFA but they should refund and then allow some of the fans after very good checking to confirm they have not been infected with the virus.

If not that CAF had no shame, they would have allowed this matter to slide because this matter has a lot to tell about aftcan football which might not be taken serious again if this decision of theirs scales through, do Senegal has any reason to give them back the trophy, what moral justification do anyone have to ask for a trophy that has been won with the input of hard work by a national team, I'm still looking at what is playing out as a movies or will I say a comedy, may be why CAF president and his cohorts pipe low a bit is because their brain have reset or maybe as time goes by we will get to know more things in regards to this.

I think the medal is still with senagal after the chairman of AFCON went to Senegal to talk to the minister of sport to return it.
I don't really know if Senegal would be ready to return the medal because it would be disappointing to the people of Senagal if they realize that the government finally return the AFCON medal which supposed not to be so.

I don't think the Senegal was urged to give the medals right away because Senegal filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport two months ago so the final verdict is not announced yet.
Once CAS says the final word, Senegal will have serious sanctions if they not obey to their decision and it risks to be barred from CAF and even FIFA. I highly doubt Senegal will not submit to CAS decision at the opposite of CAF one which is not final. Obviously CAF might give Senegal additional sanctions later in case of delay from their part..

Good news for the Senegalese Fans that were detained in Morocco as a result of CAF final fallout which ended up in a clash between the fans of the two countries, which led to the fans been detained. Well CAF has confirmed their release and praised the Moroccan king for the pardon he gave the Senegalese Fans. But this is not a very good thing because if Moroccan authorities could hold fans for up to six months before releasing them simply because they lost and things didn't go their way. Any other nation too will do this if they host and result did go their way. The question I want to ask is how many of the Moroccan fans that were seen on camera dragging goal keeper towels and were intimidating opposition teams and their Fans were determined this is really shameful.

I was surprised when i saw a news that Morocco king ordered the release of the Senegal fans that were jailed for misconduct in the Afcon final between Senegal and Morocco in January this year because there was a news in April that the jailed Senegal fans has been released and they have returned back to Senegal to meet up with their family or loved ones, but it seems this second news about the jailed Senegal fans being release from jail is the real news, so i will thank the Morocco king for ordering the release of the Senegal fans.

They're still occupants of the trophy right. It is also said that they have sent it to their military base for safe keeping. I don't know how true but there could be some levels of truth about it.

They're not ready for that! As much as the game went after those players left the pitch and the officials didn't take the decision to end the game, there's no way possible they should be returning the trophy to Morocco. I went back to read the reports, it says Senegalese national team are ready to appeal in court.

Congo fans won't be allowed to travel to the United States of America for the world cup because of the recent Ebola pandemic outbreak in DR. There are things to critically looked at. The role of the referee and the role of the players of Senegal. Now if your looked carefully, it was not all the players of Senegal left the field one or two were in the field and they went and called the others players, so the CAS has to verify all those things and I believed before September or November, judgment will be given.
