If the story is true and there is ebola outbreak in Congo then FIFA did the right thing, because if they should allow the fans to go to the world cup they will surely spread the virus and when that happens it will be a world problem and a lot of people are going to die, now that Congo has decided to ask FIFA for refund they should refund them their money if possible since there fans won't be going anymore, I believe some fans will be allowed to go so what they should do is to conduct a very good check on them before allowing them.
The Ebola virus is a very dangerous virus and like they say prevention is better than cure so well done to FIFA but they should refund and then allow some of the fans after very good checking to confirm they have not been infected with the virus.

This is going to be very bad for the DR Congo  team and their supporters because they will be playing without their fans in the stadium due to the situation on ground that alone could after the performance of the team and also give their fans a lot of emotion problems especially those that had made the arrangements and bought match to ticket. FIFA has it open to them that they will not be attending the world cup so it is not bad if they are refunded since they were not aware that such things will come up and they didn't force the virus on themselves.

So sorry about their predicament as it is quite unfortunate that they can not be able to make it to the world cup as a result of the ebola outbreak which happened so sudden. I believe FIFA would make a refund to the Dr. Congo fans for the reasons being that they can no longer travel to the US for the world cup tournament as a result of the ebola disease outbreak. What I think FIFA should do is to liase with the Congo government to see the best way to make a refund since the refund appeal is coming from the government itself and I believe it would be properly reviewed by both parties to see the best way in handling the situation at hand.

Seeing this discussion pop up annoys me more. Let's try to forget about this issue and try to focus on other important football matters, since this case has remained unturned at this particular time, and I doubt if it will again no matter how much cry that we cry here. It's obvious to the majority of football enthusiasts that CAF is a total failure and a corrupt African governing football body that needs to be abolished because of this very act, or it will get sanctioned, or the FIFA body should sanction or call them into order and further investigate this judgment.

A few information i want to know, where is the AFCON trophy currently? Is Senegal still holding the trophy, or has it been moved to Morocco? After CAF asked Senegal to return it, the debate and refusal, i haven't heard any piece of information concerning the latest news. To us who witnessed how everything displayed, we still record Senegal as AFCON champions.

The Afcon trophy remains with Senegal football federation even as CAF asked Senegal to give the Afcon trophy to Morocco, Senegal did not succumb to CAF instruction. If Fifa want to be fair, as they always preach, they must refund those congo fans that has already bought tickets because they can't expect them to be happy when they have already taken their money, but still refuse them to attend due to a reason they are not the cause of. It's very unfortunate that for safety, such a measures must be taken, but withholding their money will be pure cheating in my own opinion, because if you decide to buy a particular product in the market or super market, and for some reason you can't make use of the product while the product is still intact, you can return the product and your money refunded because the product will be  sold off to someone else that can make use of it, it's as simple as that.

You are tickets are not refundable, US has to take preventive measures because of this Ebola outbreak. It's very risky to allow DR congi fans into United States because there might be a case where one or two fans might have been infected without knowing and symptoms haven't shown yet. Also I heard that it's very easy to transmit it, and we know a lot of fans will come in close contact with each other maybe during entrance to the world cup, parade etc. I hope the Drc players are also able to play, because if the outbreak worsen they might not allow DRC to participate. I don't know how FIFA will be able to help them in recovering that money back. Except they refund half of the money.

If Fifa want to be fair, as they always preach, they must refund those congo fans that has already bought tickets because they can't expect them to be happy when they have already taken their money, but still refuse them to attend due to a reason they are not the cause of. It's very unfortunate that for safety, such a measures must be taken, but withholding their money will be pure cheating in my own opinion, because if you decide to buy a particular product in the market or super market, and for some reason you can't make use of the product while the product is still intact, you can return the product and your money refunded because the product will be  sold off to someone else that can make use of it, it's as simple as that.

This is very valid honestly because if you will have to stop or deny fans entry because probably political or security reasons, at least they deserve refunds because no one will be happy to pay for something he can't enjoy or use and it's not just about the tickets alone, many fans usually have alot of expenses of accommodation, and even transportation. We also know that safety should be the priority in an international football like this and some decisions can be made just to avoid bigger problems but also FIFA needs to know that they need to be fair because these fans have acted in good faith to purchase tickets. I also understand your comparison, if the service you paid for can no longer serve you, it's expected that refunds are made. I strongly believe FIFA will have a way to solve this in a fair way so that they fans will not feel punished for what they did not do.

In today's game of the Africa World Cup, Senegal U17 and Morocco U17 played a game in which both score 1 1 goal. The goal was started by Mouhamed Wagner and in the 23rd minute he had made a kind of victory for his team. Ismail could not bear his team and his defeat, so he scored in the last moments and thus it was equal between both. After that, penalties were decide between the two in which Mouhamed Wagner started the first and he scored 7 penalties and his team won from here too. On the contrary, Morocco U17 also scored 6 penalties but this resulted in a difference of 1 penalty between the two. There's no amount of checks that will be conducted on them that will make rival fans to be comfortable around them, and I don't equally believe that FIFA or the US will allow any Congolese fans to travel from Africa with the National team. The only fans that Dr Congo will have in the world cup are Congolese who are not resident in their country and haven't travelled home for a long time. Their citizens around Europe and other continents can travel to support their team, but any fans in Dr Congo till date won't be allowed to travel to the world cup.

I understand your point but I still think if it is possible for some set of people who are staying in Congo to undergo some check up and then allowed to go, but if it will cause problem in the future then they should forget about it but this will be a very hard one for Congo and their players because I'm very confident that they will not perform as expected since there fans are not there to make them perform very well when fans are available and chanting for players there's high chance of them doing very well, the opposite teams playing against them their fans will be their and praising them and then booing Congo players.

It is not the decision of the country to not send their fans abroad but it is the USA that imposed the ban on everyone in DR Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan. Normally, FIFA should assume the consequences over USA and avoid acting like thieves. Even the Congolese National Football team had to cancel their training session in the capital, move to Belgium to complete the quarantine there and move to Texas to prepare the World Cup.
I don't know if I am the only one that see this World Cup as chaotic from organisation to the financial cost. I believe FIFA will try to make it as successful as possible because USA is part of it, otherwise it ruined the fun for many people, especially poorer ones, and that before even its start..

Even if there was a law of non refundment of money but there is how the case will be they will not have what to say than to give them because for selling it to the DR Congo fans, they're already at fault because they should have known that the fans was never coming to the world Cup and informed them early so that they wouldn't have to buy the ticket. I also access things most at times based on the reaction of the country in particular because for DR Congo to have requested for there money to be returned could actually mean that is possible to get the money back because if it wasn't possible they wouldn't have made such request from FIFA.

Since it's not the fault of FIFA or the fault of DR. Congo neither that DR. Congo fans won't be travelling to the United States of America to support their country, so I think FIFA should reconsider and initiate a refund to DR. Congo fans since they aren't eligible to travel to the United States of America for the World Cup.

To be honest I’m not aware that such a competition is going on, people are usually not interested in this kind of competition and that is why they usually don’t talk about it here, I’m sure only 10% of people in this forum who are Africans are currently watching the competition.

This competition is special because this are likely the players that will represent each big team in the future, Victor osimhen and few others came from U-17.

When it comes to African football, Senegal have really raised the bar, look at how exceptional their youth team is, and trust me, their national team will still do incredibly well when the World cup competition starts, this is because, they won't only be seen as a regular team on the World cup, but they will be coming as African champions. Let's wait and see what the Final for the youth competition pan out to be, but sincerely speaking, Senegal have really invested something tangible in their local football, whatever we are seeing today didn't just spring from nowhere,  Morocco too have same traits.

A lot of Africans in this forum aren't following the CAF U-17 African Cup of Nations, and I'm not surprised with the low turn out, since it's U-17 African Cup of Nations people aren't interested to watch the CAF U-17 African Cup of Nations matches. The CAF U-17 African Cup of Nations between Tanzania U-17 and Senegal U-17 will take place on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
