To be honest I’m not aware that such a competition is going on, people are usually not interested in this kind of competition and that is why they usually don’t talk about it here, I’m sure only 10% of people in this forum who are Africans are currently watching the competition.
Mayor of ogba you did very well to bring this to our notice, please when is the final coming I will love to watch the final.
This competition is special because this are likely the players that will represent each big team in the future, Victor osimhen and few others came from U-17.
Congratulations to Senegal they showing good talent both in U-17 and the big team.

If 10% use to watch the African under 17 nations Cup you would have known because when people are watching all this league they don't hide there feelings of expression. They have started the under17 league for a while but is now we are actually knowing that there is an under 17 children playing there league. Anytime I hear about Senegal and Morocco I always remember the AFCON especially the way the two countries under 17 has played on this semi finals is usually how the strength of the two national teams is, so actually in the future when this under 17 would become there national team they would be hardly wining each other's because there is no intimidated side between them even if Senegal under 17 won on this semi final.

I do not even know that under 17 Afcon tournament is on and it started May 13, for the Under 17 not to be discuss in this thread since it started i doubt if 10% of people in this forum who are from Africa are watching the under 17 Afcon tournament. Senegal wants to become Morocco nemesis, after the senior national team of Senegal won the senior national team of Morocco in the Afcon tournament, the under 17 of Senegal team also won the under 17 of Morocco team, i know that Moroccan will not be happy that the same Senegal has caused them not to win the Afcon trophy both at the senior national team level and the under 17 level.

I think the difficult part of this discussion is balancing public health concerns and conditions with fairness to the fans who have also made their form of investments already through the purchase of tickets, travel visas, etc. But if there is a genuine risk of an infectious disease outbreak then the authorities and tournament organizers such as Fifa should have the responsibility of putting all the necessary preventive measured in place even if those particular measures are unpopular. We all saw the lessons which were learnt from the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak and how quickly diseases can spread through international travels and large gatherings. So the first thing FIFA must do is to sensitize everyone with the knowledge people need to know in terms of the health concerns and how such conditions can greatly impact negatively on the fans then come up with a solid modality on how they can refund the money of fans even if it is not 100 percent, at such level, the people will understand with the system and take heart with their loses easily.

Players that are affected or showing signs of being affected can be quarantine. The competition is yet to start, so there is everything they can do now possible to make the players not contagious of the disease and even the fans that will be coming to support them in the World Cup. I know that the disease is a big pandemic and can spread fast but I doubt if it has spread so fast that the whole country will be kept in quarantine for now. The WHO has also sent representatives to DR Congo on this issue, I hope a lasting solution is found soon and they can also come and play in the World Cup to represent their country and continent.

Well, I just presume the actions taken were for the betterment of the World Cup participants, so that there would not be a widespread outbreak of any diseases during the tournament, and besides, the last time COVID-19 struck, it was very deadly, and there was a lockdown for a long period of time till the virus was contained before borders were open and movement restrictions were lifted. Although the hata virus isn't like COVID, I believe this is a good ground to justify their actions as they took such decisions for the safety of their citizens and tourists who would visit the country for the tournament.

I don't know of it's recognized by FIFA but if it is, then it's a good addition to the trophy cabinet of the Super Eagles. If not for the description from Fiatless, I didn't know what the Unity Cup is all about, from the explanation i do agree that it is not a major tournament, especially for us who are not in diaspora, however we can celebrate with them, I'm better off seeing Nigerians win in all angles, both friendlies and major tournaments.

Nigeria couldn't qualify for the major tournament i really wished we did, we will be staying home and watching other countries participate in the World Cup, even supporting a different nation, while we should have secured a spot there.

Ahhh i think from the name of the tournament it sure looks like a boring game well I wish the super the very best of luck they need right now…the truth most Nigerian didn’t have any close ideas was even hosting by the FIFA guys…

Let us take sometime to celebrate our own, the African Moroccan born talent, Achraft  Hakimi for winning the prestigious UEFA Champions League trophy for the second time in a back to back style. This is a great milestone and I think he is getting much ready or very prepared now to fight for the African best player of the season. He has won the France League one title and now the Champions League. He made a total of six assists and one goal in the just concluded champions League and one goal and one assist in the season's league games. With the roles and impact he made for the team this season, he proves his place as the defending African best player and could possibly win again ahead of people like Paul Onuachu who's the Super lig top scorer with one trophy and Victor Osimhen the super lig winner. The champions League has a big influence and I won't be surprised if he receives the award for a consecutive time. Let's celebrate our own please. Congratulations Achraft Hakimi, Africa is proud.

Africa doesn't get the right publicity because most of the sports reporters and commentators are not Africans. We were well represented in the last World Cup when our own Moroccans made it to the semi-finals. I was pained when they lost the third-place match because it could have been Africa's first medal. in the World Cup.

Nigeria and Mozambique are not going to the World Cup, so we are all supporting Africa. Hopefully, we might win our first medal this year. We deserve some respect in the global football space because we produce some of the best players in Europe.

If they don’t want you, they don’t want you. Call it whatever but I wouldn’t travel out of my comfort zone to a place where I’m not wanted. I know it’s annoying that people are going to miss the World Cup because of visa restrictions but I’d rather watch the game on tv than spend so much money only to be denied visa or have ICE stereotype you in the US.

Massive congratulations to Nigeria for winning the trophy again they did very well but I’m still very much angry at them for not qualifying for the World Cup competition, but I can’t lie they did very well by lifting the unity cup again and again.
I didn’t watch the match because I was busy with the champions league final match and I believe a lot of people did same too.

This is very valid honestly because if you will have to stop or deny fans entry because probably political or security reasons, at least they deserve refunds because no one will be happy to pay for something he can't enjoy or use and it's not just about the tickets alone, many fans usually have alot of expenses of accommodation, and even transportation. We also know that safety should be the priority in an international football like this and some decisions can be made just to avoid bigger problems but also FIFA needs to know that they need to be fair because these fans have acted in good faith to purchase tickets. I also understand your comparison, if the service you paid for can no longer serve you, it's expected that refunds are made. I strongly believe FIFA will have a way to solve this in a fair way so that they fans will not feel punished for what they did not do.

The reason for the proposed restriction isn't related to any form of geopolitical or economic matters but on health grounds as the Ebola threat has to be handled with all necessity. If it were to be base on any politics or economical I sure wouldn't be supporting FIFA's decision. I feel the disappointment of those that have bought tickets and had plans, but i think for the greater good certain uncomfortable decisions has to be decisively taken

Congratulations to Super Eagles for winning the Unity Cup back to back, I didn't know that Nigeria played a final with Jamaica yesterday maybe the Champions League final that held yesterday could be the reason why I didn't know about the Unity Cup final between Nigeria and Jamaica.

The way the champions League is, even if I new that there was a Unity cup for the super eagles I would have still watch the champions League, instead of the final day they fixed the match it should have been today as Arsenal and PSG have completed the finals so that Nigerians could watch there country in the Unity cup or fixed it in the time after champions league would have ended but however even if another match was more interesting for me yesterday I'm happy the super eagles have won the Unity cup, this is making the Unity cup the fourt time super eagles has won it and the fifth is possibly next year.
