Massive congratulations to Nigeria for winning the trophy again they did very well but I’m still very much angry at them for not qualifying for the World Cup competition, but I can’t lie they did very well by lifting the unity cup again and again.
I didn’t watch the match because I was busy with the champions league final match and I believe a lot of people did same too.

I didn't see the names of players like Osimhen, Lookman, and Onuachu on the squad list. Does anyone know why?

The way the champions League is, even if I new that there was a Unity cup for the super eagles I would have still watch the champions League, instead of the final day they fixed the match it should have been today as Arsenal and PSG have completed the finals so that Nigerians could watch there country in the Unity cup or fixed it in the time after champions league would have ended but however even if another match was more interesting for me yesterday I'm happy the super eagles have won the Unity cup, this is making the Unity cup the fourt time super eagles has won it and the fifth is possibly next year.

The Unity Cup final between Jamaica and Nigeria was played at 19:30 pm G.M.T of which before the Unity Cup final kick off the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal has already ended, so even as the Unity Cup final was fixed on the same day with the Champions League final, you can still watch the Champions League final and still watch the Unity Cup final if you want.

Nigeria played very well in this match against Jamaica because from what I saw they won another Unity Cup title by defeating their opponents Jamaica 3-0 and it seems that this team has kept their crown intact with an easy win. To be honest I was impressed by Nigeria’s performance in the Unity Cup final match but if this team had got the opportunity to participate in the upcoming FIFA World Cup then maybe that would have been a matter of great pride for us.
However like you I also want Nigeria to win the AFCON trophy this time this team has another tough match ahead of them which is against Portugal, to my knowledge maybe in that game quality players like Victor Osimhen and Lookman will participate for Nigeria.

I belive most professional players prefer to stay fit and avoid unnecessary injuries in any competition played in friendlies or with their national football team.

It's humiliating to see us Africans as a continent that doesn't win the World Cup or even reach the final. Senegal lost in a friendly against the USA. This is already a sign that we will see disappointment coming from Senegal; perhaps they won't even make it past the group stage.

What you just said didn't only happen to African players it also happens to players that are from Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. There are a lot of players who performs very well for their clubs but when these players are playing for their countries they always perform poorly. Without sounding pessimistic  but more realistic, the way our national yean are playing their football is sometimes annoying to me. When we have unity matches and other friendly matches, we tend to perform better than when we have more serious games to play, then we end up disappointing. The best way to know about a team's greatness is through their ability to navigate tough times and win please the fans when they need to and not the other way round. Nigerian super eagle with all sense of humility has the best squad ever in the African football, I can say both in the present and past but what still baffles me is how we are unable to make use of this same squad to do greatness. it has not gotten to a point where the least we can win is the Unity Cup. It's good, but they need to go for bigger titles. They are not even going for the World Cup, and they failed to win the AFCON. It's just high time we tell ourselves the truth about all this because and i don't even think the coach of the players is the problem, because we have players in that team that are doing excellently well so that is not even a problem at this point for them to just work together to achieve one goal, and that is how things will even get better, and team work matters a lot in all this things because the stronger the team work the stronger the chances.

When it comes to football, Nigeria has the best talents in the whole of Africa to the best of my knowledge, but the only challenge we've been having is..
1. Finding a good coach that will relate perfectly with our boy and be able to bring out the best in them.
2. Lack of players welfare, because whether we believe it or not, a hungry man is an angry man no matter how obidient he appears, when players aren't well taken care of, they may not protest openly but when they get on the pitch to play, they may or some may not bring out their heart to cooperate with the rest of the team for a common goal due to bitterness in their heart.

So, with a fix to all of this, I have no doubt that our home boys will be respected all over the world, the current coach is really trying to be honest, he's clearly shown that he mean well for Nigeria football for how hard he's working to better the team.
It's only very unfortunate that we did not qualify for the world Cup.

Indeed he really understands the Super Eagles team within this short time he has been with them and I and confidently sure that he would bring out the best from the team as time goes on. With the approach he is using to pick players, it would get to a point that the super eagles would have enough players than we expected and there would be no need to rely on key players when there are other good players who can stand in for games. His approach would definitely yield positive results with time and all we just have to do is to be patient with him to do his work. As we can see, the unity cup squad had no international big names as much as we could expect but they lifted the trophy and this shows that with or without the big names, we can still achieve something tangible in the football leagues.

I'm not aware of the worth and value of this competition but am not persuaded that it holds much value dew to the countries that participated in it,

I saw India, Jamaica and some other lowly rated football national teams which shows that this tournament is not a major tournament,

I still find it difficult to believe that the super eagles will not  be participating in the world cup and at such do not see any motivating factor to celebrate this win.

I'm not aware of the worth and value of this competition but am not persuaded that it holds much value dew to the countries that participated in it,

I saw India, Jamaica and some other lowly rated football national teams which shows that this tournament is not a major tournament,

I still find it difficult to believe that the super eagles will not  be participating in the world cup and at such do not see any motivating factor to celebrate this win.

Any trophy boosts the confidence of the players and creates a winning mentality in the team. However, it is true that returning to the World Cup is more important for a big football nation like Nigeria than winning small trophies. Because it is disappointing for me to not see the Super Eagles on the World Cup stage since 2018. Although I will also say that the success of small tournaments should not be completely ignored. Because sometimes such tournaments are useful to test the tactics of new coaches, give new players opportunities and boost the confidence of the team. But the best and most effective is if this victory lays the foundation for good performances in future World Cup qualifiers or Afcon, then it will have value.
