Do you know that NFF and Finidi George were the problems of the national team. If we played the way we did against the Poles in Warsaw, honestly there is no way Nigeria couldn't ve gone to world cup and make history.
Thus is so painful  that my dear country  is missing  out on this  tournament  again just like the last one and we claim  to be the giant  of Africa  but always  fail to prove  that all the time, This has to change.

You shouldn't blame only former coach George Finidi. Some players like Victor Osimhen also contributed to the poor performance of the Super Eagles. Osimhen caused division in the team which affected them. Some key players were unserious to the extent that they selected the games they would feature in.

Finidi should also be blamed for his inability to manage the players. He ended up talking about dressing room issues to the public which didn't sit well with some players. He could not exert his authority on some players. This caused division and resulted in poor performance.

I'm shocked to read that Ivory coast now has a better team than France, like wtf. On a good day, if France catch Ivory coast, it's going to be a bad day for them because France will score countless number of goals against them.

I was surprised to read this post and this made me to check the match and I didn't believed what I saw. Ivory Coast beat France 2-1. Let's remove the mindset that this a friendlies matches but there is strong message that has been passed. If Ivory Coast beat France in this pre world cup friendlies matches, they can still be at therm in the main tournament. Yes because if you are saying France will beat them black and blue, Ivory Coast will double their performance in the tournament and do well. Though let see what will happen in the WC.

France losing to Ivory Coast doesn't make them not fully geared up and prepared for the World Cup and I don't believe that this is a test for how well prepared they're for the WC. Nevertheless, it's a good win for Ivory Coast, a huge motivation from them as we're just few days into the tournament. That's just what it is and I think a lot of gamblers would be disappointed with bad bets if they tend to use the results of this friendly games to determine or judge what their prediction score on the teams in the world cup main event would look like. We would probably be seeing teams that made excellent performance in their friendly games going to underperform in the World Cup. National teams like France, Spain, Argentina and Portugal still stands favourite to winning the tournament and there's no how I would be underrating any one of them.

I don't think that is have betted on any friendly match straight win, I'm always very careful with that, whether is club or nation friendlies I beg mainly on goals because I know that some of those teams that we think that will win might end up losing because there is not attached and even though the lose it is nothing to them.

I think I have actually watch this game and with the lots of talent that France has most especially the attacking prowess that the French National team I think they will be having serious problems in the area of creativity. Right now Didier Deschamp has the selection challenge of who fit perfectly because in this France squad any of them can start and deliver in their individual performances but in terms of team cohesion I think they are greatly lacking that at the moment and could be a huge problem for them in the tournament if the manager doesn’t get to pick the best team.

In the midfield which is the biggest problem they have this period I think Ryan Cherki definitely needs to start in the attacking midfield role because I don’t think anyone has a better quality than him in that position at the moment. Then he can play the double pivot of either two CMs or a DM and CM depending on the game.

As for the defense I think this game already exposed how Konate has been poor all season and shouldn’t be anywhere the first eleven at the moment. My center back pair will be Upamecano and Saliba for now

This sounds like a good news to me but, we should also know that this is Africa were politicians use words to deceive their people by making promises that don't come to fruition. 28 stadia across the country when completed will be a big boast to Kenya sporting sector and not just football, but I actually have my doubts about this story it's another political statement geared towards getting votes from the masses during election season.


But let just be hopeful and pray that such visions comes to pass because if these stadiums are completed then Kenya will be thinking about hosting the world cup if you ask me.

This is my first time hearing about this. Osimhen has only tried to unite the team not destroyed the team. I know of his influence in the dressing room but I don't think that has to do with why the Super Eagles of Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup. Finidi has to take the blame because Finidi chooses his first team player out of politics. He chooses the players that has been with the team for long, instead of the right player that has the quality to play for each position. Osimhen solved the problem of the dressing room.

Kenya is not building from the scratch all these 28 stadiums and sporting facilities but they are modernising also some of preexisting ones among this number.
Since Kenya is co-hosting AFCON 2027 with Tanzania and Uganda then the renovation and the construction of new facilities is a must. The capacity of the stadium is respectable also. East Africa is lacking a lot of investment in sports and people (solo) winning medals there aren't funded much from their countries in most of the cases if not all. Group based games there is underdeveloped in my opinion and that would be a good opportunity to push it forwards in these three countries.

I certainly agree with you that among the African teams that qualified for the world cup that Morocco and Senegal, are the top choices to go far and I look forward to seeing atleast one of them or the other teams to reach the semi finals. I wouldn't be too surprised if an African team reaches the semi finals again because Morocco has broken that record and they are looking prepared to shock the world again. I know this is African where the words of our leaders shouldn't be taking seriously especially when it comes to infrastructure projects, that's the more reason why I said that if the Kanye's president successful built the 28 stadium across the country it will put Kanye in a good position to host African tournaments, but let's just keep calm and watch how the story unfold.

We need more of this in Africa with attention going into sectors like this so when it's time for countries like this to join in hosting the world cup, conversation around the lack of facility won't start raising it head. If they are able to build 28 stadium across the nation, that's a serious plus but it comes with the question, how possible is it that this can be actualised.

The cost of building a standard stadium from start to finish is a lot and for an average African government, that's not supposed to be the only thing you should be about. Building stadiums is good but doing it in a manner that allows you to also touch on other areas is what's even better. We are in support of investing in sports sector in Africa but it's better to have a good plan around it so it doesn't look like empty promises.

These stadiums aren't just being built to host the Africa Cup, are they? Also, isn't 28 stadiums a lot? I don't follow Kenyan football, but 28 stadiums means at least 28 football teams. And wouldn't building so many stadiums strain the country's economy? I'm curious what kind of league Konya has. I hope they build some nice stadiums.

Well that’s a good news, I believe if they can build all those stadiums into the modern stadium standard they can surely lost the African Cup of nation or they can even consider them with a close country to host the World Cup competition in the future, Africa countries are really disappointing me because this are the things they should be thinking about and believe me it will bring a lot of resources to countries in Africa because we love football so much here in Africa.
I just hope they build the stadiums to modern standards, 28 stadiums is a lot and it will require huge amount of money if they want to make it modern standards, they have the resources to do it if they are really determined in doing it.
