I was sad and angry when the Super Eagles didn't qualify for the World cup but after most African fans has been denied entry into the United States of America am no longer sad and angry, because this World Cup is going to be the worst World Cup we will witness as there's going to be a lot of vacant of seats in the stadium due to the United States of America denying fans entry into the United States of America.

Funny enough the United States don't have as much soccer fans than Europe and Africa, but I doubt alot African fans would make it to watch the match on the American stand because of the distance and amount of money that would be spent. But still even with the Amarican port issues, I would have love for Nigeria to make it to the World Cup, as I was watching them play good against Portugal now

It is disappointing when we remember Nigeria will not make it to the world cup, twice in a row. I feel like the money and Nation restrictions are the two major factors that have discouraged more from coming to watch the games live and keep/join the tradition that follows every world cup.

The USA shouldn't be picked again for any global sports events and then especially about football, there so many annoying or discouraging information we have gotten from the news and there will be likely more, hopefully USA doesn't kill the world cup spirit for us this season.

I watched this game and I laughed because is just a friendly game and the seriousness I expected from our players wasn't there, this is the same thing I have been expecting our NFF to be fixing games with more of the European countries than Africa countries, it will expose us the more and we can as well learn 1 or 2 things and add it to our game plan, it shouldn't be about playing against CR7 and we go home and smile about it, every game we play counts and they'd use either we win or lose or we draw as a means to rate us in the world ranking.
I'd give it to the Eagles, they did their best but Portugal was all over the midfield making it hard for our players to hand on to the ball for a little time before losing it, it has been more of the Portuguese side enjoying the ball. Many would be impressed by what or how the Eagles played but for me I'd give them 6/10, after all Portugal are on another level compared to the Super Eagles but this should serve as a lesson for our NFF to do the right thing so that our momentum will be higher than we saw today.

A friendly game that didn't seem friendly at all. Portugal came into this game with all their weapons; no single one was left out, including physicality, set pieces, and outside shots. Yet the Super Eagles maintained the tempo of the game. It was unfortunate that Okoye, the goalkeeper, is poor on ground shots, as he is good at taking out air shots. In the last two friendlies the SE played, the goals scored were from an outside shot, which I think Okoye should have done better. We also didn't have our best players on the field. The likes of Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and all the rest.

I didn't get to watch this match because (we all know how Nigerians PHCN guys behave at times) they took our light the moment the match was about to start, but the moment I checked online and saw the scores being 2 goals for Portugal and 1 goal for Nigeria, I was pleased because I know our Nigerian player must have played a very good game to even be able to score one goal, because from the odds I was seeing on sporty, it didn't give an impression like the super eagles had a chance at all.

And concerning the world Cup, I am also very pained, in the last world Cup which was in 2022, majority of us were supporting Morocco to win simply because our Nigerian super eagles were not present, and this year's world Cup again, same thing will be happening because our Nigerian super eagles arent in the world Cup, it's really disappointing but what can we do.

It is painful we are not playing in the world cup. FIFA is missing out on the best African side. Finidi will always be blamed  for this misfortune. Because every time I watch this Nigeria team, they don't deserve to stay at home. This Super Eagle is looking like the Morocco of 2022 that did what no one expected. The first half result was 1:1 and both teams performing was amazing despite Portugal having more possession of the ball but one thing to bite is the impact of the Nigerian coach in the Super Eagles team, he's done a good job with the players they can now face any team in the world cause they have a complete team at the moment. I saw the performance Nigerian pulled against Portugal this night, and I was really upset as a Nigerian why Nigeria didn't qualify for the World cup, because looking at their style of play how offensive they were on the attack and how their defence was very solid, it gave the Portuguese attack and midfield a tough one for them to show superiority, with the level of display Nigeria gave Portugal this night despite the fact that Portugal won 2-1, the Super Eagles gave their best shot and for me, it's a stepping stone, because this match was played even without some of our brilliant players like Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

I can say that Finidi George caused the Nigeria woes, missing this world cup was never 100% players fault. What is encouraging that you’re talking about in the game, the Super Eagles lost a friendly game and we know they’re going to loose that game because it’s just a training game, the Portuguese are using the Super Eagles to prepare for DR Congo game, what a shame, the shameless Victor Osimhen isn’t playing because it’s not a competition game for him to play, while he is part of the reasons why Nigeria isn’t in the World Cup, when he was refusing to play and faking injuries because he doesn’t want to play for Finidi George.

To be fair, loosing in any match as a country is not a positive thing but at the same time, loosing one nil to Portugal with what we can call an incomplete squad from our own end against their complete squad comes with a lot of positives. we had a fair game before we conceded and even right after we conceded, we still played well and scored ours and though we later conceded again, you could tell that it was a completely open game for all.

The Portugal team needed that win as a sure motivation that ushers them into the start of the world cup and we have to give sure ups to them for fighting and ensuring they got the victory. loosing would have destabilized them going forward.

This was a friendly game that our super eagles team has nothing to play for, because they are not going to the world cup, and most of our key players like Victor osimhen and ademola lookman were absent, so I wouldn't be looking too much into it, but what really impress me about them was that even though most of our key players were out, we were really impressive, and our type of football is really pleasing in the eyes comparing to how our super eagles team plays before Eric Chelle was hired. They gave a good account of themselves, considering that nothing is at stake, so their no point looking for who to blame because they actually tried.

The Super Eagles were very impressive throughout the game, I thought the midfield of Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Nnadi will be outplayed by the Portuguese trio of Vitinha, Bruno Fernandes and Joao Neves. But the setup of the Nigerians was good enough to hold them.

Eric Sekou Chelle is doing a good job with the super Eagles, with this form I’m more sad now that we aren’t featuring in this World Cup.

Portugal have incredible players like vitinha, conceicao, bruno fernandes and neves. Instead, nigeria have only Osimhen in International condition. The results could have been even worst for nigerian eagles. When the competition will be very hard and in a condition of direct eliminatory the african teams will hane phisical advantage in front of european team.
