The game ended in a 2:1 win for the hosts Portugal. Nigeria lost but there are so many positives to take away from the game. Eric Chelle has succeeded in helping the Super Eagles return back to playing the quality football they're known for. Portugal named a starting XI that had Paris Saint Germaine midfield duo Vitinha and João Neves, English Premier League best player of the season Bruno Fernandes, Manchester City's Ruben Dias, Chelsea's Pedro Neto, Barcelona's João Cancelo and arguably the greatest player to ever play the game Cristiano Ronaldo, yet, they struggled to dominate against the Super Eagles. Yes, it's a friendly game but from what I saw during the game, I doubt they could've more in a competitive game. Hopefully, Nigeria will play qualify for the next FIFA World Cup.

I would have said congratulations to the Super Eagles but I don't want to be attacked by those who are disappointed with the outcome of the game. I was expecting Portugal to win the game with a large margin, but the Super Eagles were able to curtail them. With the quality of players the Portuguese side had, I wouldn't be surprised if we conceded more than two goals. The result shows that the Super Eagles is improving.

Nobody expected such a performance from the super eagles especially when they were without victor Osimehn, it only a shame to us that we won’t witness such football at the World Cup. I was present in the front of the screen yesterday but during that. I was asking myself whether those player are Nigerians because of how they were displaying honestly it actually looks so amazing. I begin to observe the opponent players and begin to say that it is only opportunity can get them to where they are today because playing in Europe does not mean anything because of how Nigerians were playing yesterday. Playing in Europe is awesome and also an opportunity to get there, what honestly our boys did very well in that match and I wish they can be able to continue like that anytime they have opportunity.

Anyone that is disappointed in a friendly match doesn't deserve to have sport conversation. It was their first attempt to play with Ronaldo which possibly going to be the last. It was supposed to be entertaining and not much seriousness. That's why even Ronaldo wasn't putting all in the game, he did all he could and that's what we expected but some Messi fans now has materials to use against him. I'm impressed that he started the match with them.

Look out our players, do this team look like who want to win anything in the first place, I didn't see Osimehn, Lookman and many other players, most were not around because they know it was supposed to be friendly match. If it was serous match, I don't think some of the players that started yesterday will even have replacement on the match and to say we had 1 goal in the match, and some pictures ,  it's better having nothing after 90 minutes of the game.

First, the US denied entry to the best referee in the entire African continent because of some flimsy reasons. Omar Artan's dream to participate in the World Cup was cut short because a goverment hate the African continent.

Now there are reports that the Ivory Coast home-based fans have been denied visas to the United States. The Ivory Coast national team will now depend on the support of their countrymen who reside in the US.

Other continents' national teams and supporters have been treated better than Africans. This is a clear hatred for the African continent.

The referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan was questioned at US airport for upto 11 hours and finally discovered that he was a member of al-Shabab/Al-Qaeda and this has sent a strong signal to them at the immigration office to scrutinized visitors from a continent of a particular concerned. That referee looks like the terrorists that are terrorizing Nigeria currently. I don't see any hatred there but they are protecting their territory.

Absolutely, the players deserved so credit after that great performance they played with confidence and showed they could compete at a higher level it is just frustrating that we saw the match change after some substitution missing the world cup still hurts but if we build on display like this, I think  we shall move forward one day. If only the Nigerian super eagles had this recent form and intensity during the begining of the world cup qualifiers I believe that they should have been in the lineup for the world cup that is starting today but better late than never if they remain focused the next world cup will not pass us by. You see, I don't like politics when it involves football, it makes the fun out of this world. I remembered very well when the last world cup that was hosted in Qatar, it went controversial how people were throwing all sort of propaganda just to make people not have interests in it but look now it turn out, it was the best I have watched interm of social life even when people says Islamic state are not good for social life. Some US citizens were even against it but look who is doing the people.

One thing I know about US is that if you do something or you are wanted in the US and you apply to visit US for world cup, they will grant you entry so they can pick you immediately. If you are a threat to US national, they will invite you and catch you so they can deal with you. These one they are doing now is hatred, look how they welcome the African players that went there, it was bad but other continent were welcomed very well with entertainment.
