Senegal could get massive support from Africans and beyond because they have been coordinated so far, and not only that, they actually changed the minds of many Africans who were against Morocco as a result of the just concluded AFCON, where they were cheated by Morocco, but they still maintained a well-coordinated approach in handling the situation and I believe that was what made them to win the interest of the masses to support them.

With the level of shame CAF brought to us in the last Afcon competition, I will be ready to see Senegal go far in the World cup than any team and if there is any team I will be waiting joyfully for there downfall then it's South Africa. Some people are saying that the players are not the ones that offended other African countries but when their citizens were doing bad none of them spoke out and they saw it, we will use football as our power demonstration agains attacks.

If by the end of the day Senegal doesn't win but Morocco is removed before them, I will see this tournaments as a good one. At least, if decision can't be respected we can show them that we value African competition so that by next year ending, if another competition want to start, they will handle officiating properly or maybe Fifa will do the right thing. Look at how US is handling this World cup, it look trash and worse behind many expectations of the people.

I just found out today that Thomas Partey was denied entry into the US. Also Senegal and Ivory Coast supporters club visas were denied as well. It doesn’t matter how the media wants to paint the situation, it’s clear to me that African teams will be the ones suffering from the US immigration system. I don’t think America understands that football is a unifier, what was FIFA thinking?

I don't know why this is happening, and I don't want to believe that these people are against African countries because it has started to look like a racism case right from the day they denied the Somalian Refree entrey despite being invited by the FIFA to be part of the officiating team in this world cup tournament.
If this keep happening, FIFA also needs to be blamed because they allow all these to happen since they are the body that gave the hosting of the World Cup to them, and they knew that it is a tournament is for everyone across the world including Africans, then why denying them visa?
FIFA needs to investigate and take action on these cases, and I think this should serve as a lesson to them against the next coming world cup.
At this point in time the FIFA presidents is already looking like his hands are tied already, because how can a player that was just accuse of something and has not been found guilty by any courts being denied of Visa entry, and the unfortunate part is that, it is looking like there is no appeal or FIFA cannot even intervene in situations like this. Thomas partey is a critical factor in the Ghanaian team, and if this back and forth issue continuous to linger, some countries my literally lose out because their best are not allowed in the competition and it's already look as if it is deliberate attempt to make that team weak.

The Nigerians that lives in Mexico and will definitely support their host country because they believe that after Nigeria, Mexico is their second home where they live and could also support, this is interesting to see that football is bringing people together and this is one of the goals of which has been achieved by creating a national/International integration altogether as a result of sports.
This was not the case before. Africans have always supported any team from the continent. I could remember that many Africans in France supported Morocco in the semi-finals of the last World Cup in Qatar. It was because of the xenophobic attitude of South Africans and the silence of their government that Africans hated them. My neighbor was dancing with his friends after the game. He told me that his cousin was a victim of the xenophobic attack of Nigerians in South Africa.

This shows that their government are also in support of it because I'm yet to see any counter effects against such xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa, if something like this is really happening in Africa, then we shouldn't blame other continents that determine to restrict some Africans in gaining entry to their country as well for one reason or the other, everybody is trying to use their power, but they are not addressing the main issue on ground, only those affected should be the issue of concerned and not every Nigerians in South Africa.

Yes because for  now is two countries that have played in Africa, Algeria has undergone there first match and they won 4:0 to Bolivia but unfortunately South Africa didn't. After that first match non of the countries that came from Africa has played but today we have Morocco to battle Brazil, the country with many form of players altogether because what they have is enough to make an international club, so actually Morocco is an African pride in world cup but against Brazil I don't no what form or type of prediction that should fit the match so could Morocco become the second African country to lose or the next country to win from Africa?.

The Algeria vs. Bolivia game was a friendly, not a World Cup match. Algeria's first game is on the 17th of this month against Argentina. Unfortunately, Algeria had the bad luck of facing Argentina in their first game. I don't know how they will manage to defeat Argentina. They are in a group with some teams that could surprise, like Austria and Jordan. I don't know if Algeria will be able to advance from this group, and I also don't know much about the Austrian and Jordanian national teams.

What a funny scenarios unveiling itself, though, Karma hitting South Africa so hard while Morocco waits for its turn to take a tone on them, and CAF being degraded to a common football body in Africa and the world taking a turn to mock African tournaments just because of the carelessness of the African football body called CAF. We wish Senegal well in this tournament and hope they go far as the tournament progresses forward.

This is the first case I'm hearing about Canada denying a player access or visa to the country for the world cup, it's been all about the United states of America being the ones on the news for this. Didn't the player make all necessary arrangements knowing fully that's his on the list, the list was revealed weeks ago, usually players are meant to travel with team unless otherwise. Did the team not make provision for all the players or these things are done individually? It is now a getting too much because in other world cups news like this were not heard of. Who's to be blamed, is it the host countries or Fifa or participating countries or the individual players?

So apparently, Thomas Partey currently has a rape case and also charged with sexual assault in England. It is on that basis Canada denied his visa.

In your opinion, the xenophobic attacks in South Africa is the reason why the US is tightening their borders and denying African players and their homebase supporters visas. I honestly do not see the correlation neither do I think it could be a justification.

Tbh Partey’s situation is reasonable because Canada denied Partey’s visa because of his rape case. When the Somalian referee was denied entry into the US, they claim it was due to association with suspected terrorist groups. Again, it sounds reasonable. However, I wonder what could be the excuse this time for denying the Ivory Coast and Senegal home based supporters visa.
The presumption of innocence should have been applied in Partey's case. The principle states that an accused is considered innocent until proven guilty before a competent court. His trial will begin at Southwark Crown Court on June 8, 2027. Canada should have granted him a visa because he is innocent until proven otherwise.

An example is Benjamin Mendy, who was also accused of rape. But the court found him not guilty after his trial. The former Manchester City player's career was destroyed because of false accusations.

To be fair, Thomas Partey hasn’t been found guilty but Canada can refuse an alleged rapist without a conviction. AFAIK, it’s their law that individuals (celebrities or sportsmen) with pending criminal charges are not allowed to enter the country. The “innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t exactly apply when it concerns international travel.

I don't see South Africa making it through to the second stage Looking at their performance from the last match they had played. It is funny how they messed up thinking it would favour them just the way they do to other nationals on their own soil.  This time it would not be busy as usual for them. Since they're feeling like what I don't know, they should feel that way  on the pitch and defend themselves.
Let us even hope they will make it through the group stage because they have shown how poorly organised they are and other teams are watching to know how better to face them in coming games ahead.  They may even loose support from their own fans in that their performance and character on the pitch is not encouraging the fans to key in to supporting them because they do not expect much from them in the end. They have already lost two players to red card, so in their next match they will look for substitute and they had those players as their best starting 11  I don't think it will be easy for them in the rest of the remaining group stage game.

I can't throw my support behind them as an African side because  to me they look like they are bound to fail, I will trust other African countries for a better representation since mine didn't make it to the world cup this year.

I just think they were greeted with a cold start, as it seems they weren't supported by their African brothers because of the ill treatment their countrymen and women have meted out on other African nationals in their country. The support for them was very poor, and it was captured online the statement of their own player, wondering why the African brothers watching them live refused to support them but chose to support Mexico over them. That alone weakened their morale to play, and they lost two men to red cards, which would make it even worse their next leg.

Hmm this is becoming a sad situation, I think the mistake was hosting the tournament at USA and the other American countries at this time. I don’t think the Trump administration will be exhibiting racist tendencies, it’s just sad and annoying that this affects Africans the most.
The US should have made an exception especially to players who in no way pose a threat to them, their duties is only on the pitch and 90-100mins it’s done. This is now feeling like a targeted attack on Africans.
What a story it’ll Make for this World Cup, it’s putting a stain on the face of the whole sensation.

Today is another great day in Africa in the World Cup. Morocco will not play against only Brazil but the Whole Africa again. The fans from Africa who will support Brazil will be more greater than the ones that will support Morocco. And I don't think any Nigeria who loves football will support Morocco in today's match. I will bet again to today for Brazil to win Morocco and I believed they will not cu my ticket like what Canada did to me yesterday.
What Morocco did in the last African cup of nations is the reason why most African countries are against them in the World Cup. How will Senegal win the African cup of nations, then after few months you want the trophy to be collected from them, and handed over to you.

People are just waiting to see how they going to perform in the World Cup. Morocco will be playing against Brazil today, most people are just going to be supporting Brazil in the match, am sure even African people are going to supporting Brazil tonight just because of what Morocco did in the African cup of nations.

The president is in support of the attack and that is why it took him years before he talk about the attack on innocent immigrants in their country. South Africa is going to suffer this as they have choosed to send out innocent people that are in their country to do business away leaving employees stranded and not having anything to feed because they have no job.

On till today I don’t blame Morocco for anything that actually happens on that pitch that day rather I blame the CAF body for everything that transpired, yes Morocco had right to take the issue up to the court but it was the CAF officials that were seriously supposed to actually take the issue seriously and then make it clear for them were they went wrong, but instead they delivered something that would put the whole continent to shame. There should have been sanctions for this Morocco did. So I don’t blame the Moroccans at all.

The president is in support of the attack and that is why it took him years before he talk about the attack on innocent immigrants in their country. South Africa is going to suffer this as they have choosed to send out innocent people that are in their country to do business away leaving employees stranded and not having anything to feed because they have no job.

If a government of a country doesn’t have hands in a thing they dissociate from it immediately and even make arrests to prove that they are dissatisfied with the situation but did the SA government actually did any of this? I don’t think they even released a press statement about it. So in period of silence it means they supported the people in taking out this actions

I bet on Brazil to win against Morocco, but I must admit that Morocco is very strong and plays very well. They managed to score first, although Brazil managed to equalize. Even so, Morocco continues to pressure Brazil and risks the game ending in a draw, a result that would greatly benefit Morocco in this group. I see Morocco as the only African team that will go far in this World Cup. I could be wrong; time will tell.

This is not right because by denying him entry, they are actually punishing him for an accusation he has not been found guilty off, and I blame Fifa for all of this because this is the first time I am hearing that players and referee are denied entry into the country hosting the world cup. I wouldn't say that it's a deliberate act to weaken a particular team, but by the look of things, this is the decision of the Canadian government, but why is Fifa silent about all this mess they cause?
Because if they had took the world cup hosting right to a nation that knows how football works, we wouldn't be talking about this.

Hate watching Morocco last night did not work. I found myself supporting Brazil national side only to end up switching loving and supporting Morocco. Did you see how beautifully thry played?!
They dominated from start to finish, Brazil got to keep possession of the game at some point, but it was Morocco running tue show both attacking and defending together. This is just the start, thry could take the necessary three points from the next game. I love what I watched last night, I think themselves and Algeria are miles ahead of every African side.

Don't know who Morocco think they are did they think if they don't apply to host African tournaments other African countries won't be able to host African tournaments, if they like they shouldn't apply to host African tournaments, African Cup of Nations will surely take place as at when due.

This is the news coming up this morning that FIFA would pay Omar Arthan his entitlement as a referee in the world cup tournament.  Although it is not his fault though that he was denied entry into the US but we expected that FIFA could have intervened in this matter but but it was captured in the news that he was interviewed for straight 11 hours and was still denied entry and from what I read online, the interview has to do with something related to a terrorist group affiliations which he said he doesn't have idea what they are talking about and I believe that was the reason behind his entry denial hence the possibility of FIFA not being able to interfer but to resolve in paying him his benefits as a referee for the tournament. We will keep our hands crossed and watch how it goes after the world cup tournament and see if FIFA would honour their promises as they have said in paying him his benefits.

The Canada government are not serious, they are simply using Thomas partey case in court as reasons why they denied him entry into their country. I don't see why Thomas partey court case should be a concern to the canada government, he was only accused of something that hasn't been proven to be true. Since Thomas partey hasn't been found guilty by the court he still remain innocent of the charges and he is simply a suspect so why are they now denying him entry into their country? They should allow him into the country because he hasn't done anything wrong.
