African teams opponent match in round of 32

Here are my predictions:

• Canada win South Africa
• Netherland wins Morocco
• Haaland is well rested so I’m positive Norway will beat Ivory Coast
• England wins DR Congo
• Senegal wins Belgium
• Australia wins Egypt
• Argentina beats Cape Verde
• Colombia wins Ghana

I doubt Canada would win SA this time. SA is in a better form as we saw improvement in their performance that led them to qualifying for the 2nd round.
Morroco would win  Netherlands and advance to the next round.
Egypt would definitely pipe Australia out of the tournament sending them packing back to their fatherland and Ghana /Colombia match would be a tough one also.

I’m happy to see that nine African countries have advanced to the round of 32 at the World Cup. I’m particularly impressed by DR Congo, I didn’t think they would make it this far in the tournament. I’d have love to see Nigeria on the list but then again who knows what our performance would be like if we had qualified for the World Cup.

This is indeed one of the most exciting news for Africa in the world cup because 9 out of 10 team qualify for the next stage of the world cup competition and with the type of team on the Africa lists I am sure we are going to make it to finals of the competition regardless of how harsh the current reality is on the team representing us Africa in the world cup.

South Africa are out of the World Cup after losing 1-0 to Canada with a 90' minutes winner goal. It was a really disappointing performance from the African side and the end to the World Cup run for them. During their time in the World Cup, South Africa won one out of their three games in the group stage which is quite a disappointing performance from the African giants.

It is comforting to see that Ivory Coast,  Senegal, Cape Verde, Algeria, Congo and the likes are making waves in the World Cup with a strong stance. But how far can these countries reach in the World Cup?

 I am also counting on those teams and also possibly Ivory Coast for that final spot. But their chances are not that high but there is nothing still impossible in the game of football, anything can happen and I’m hoping for an African team to also reach the finals of the tournament this time around. After the group stage games, only one African team have been eliminated and this is really a big development to the African continent after introducing this new format of World Cup. We shall get to see how they farewell and advance to more rounds as the competition advances.

Unfortunately, South Africa becomes the second team from Africa to be eliminated from this tournament after a last gasp winner from the Canadians. South Africa really did well in this match and no one expected that they will reach this period and hold Canada to no goal till then. They did well but hard luck to them in the end as they end their journey in this World Cup.

So far we have 1 African country kicked from the group stage out of 10 and by today, only 8 teams remained in the competition.
South Africa defence line took the risk in many occasions. There was a time where Canadian claimed a penalty but it was clearly their player mistake and not Mudau fault. The main problem is the attack line wasn't helpful in creating serious opportunities and scoring goals. That would help relieve the tension on the defence line and the goalkeeper a lot.

If we should go by the performances of the teams in the tournament so far, it's very easy to pick Morocco as the African team to do better than the rest but when you consider their round of 32 opponent, you'll be forced to have a rethink. They'll be playing against an European heavyweight Netherlands. Considering the quality of players of both teams I think it's safe to say that Netherlands has a better squad but we've seen Morocco play against Brazil and how they performed excellently. If Morocco can win that tie, I expect them to go far.

I reduced my expectations of them since their first game when they disappointed me. On the other hand, the SA team played well but in the end it was about the team that was able to find the back the net that proceeded to the next round. I predict that their next opponent will be the Netherlands.

Historical moment for the African teams in the 2026 world cup. 9 out of 10 teams have qualified for the world cup round of 32. Tunisia is the only African team that has failed to qualify. South Africa, Cape Verde, Morocco Ghana Egypt Dr Congo Algeria Senegal and Ivory coast have all qualified.

Croatia finished 2nd after beating Ghana in their last game of the group stage. Peter Sucic scored the first goal for Croatia in the 31st minute. Croatia dominated the first half with 54% possession,0.28xG and 5 shots and Ghana just tried to stop them.They got 0.02xG and just 1 shot in the first half. In the second half Derrick Luckassen scored an equalizer in the 73rd minute just after 10 minutes Croatia scored 2nd goal in the 83rd minute by Nikola Vlasic. Ghana with 47% possession created 2 big chances which Croatia didn't manage to create single in the second half. Ghana got 5 shots and Croatia got 3. Sucic was named as player of the match. Croatia is now going to face Portugal in the RO32.

Morocco was the nation I had actually predicted that they will actually be going higher from the African side but with their next opponent been the Netherlands I doubt they would get past this round. Although sporting wise Morocco can still turn against the Netherlands and win the game, and if they should then they end up at quarterfinals possibly which I assume will be their last bus stop too. But seriously I doubt them even qualify out to the last 16.

The other club that I had great hope on is the Senegalese side but seriously they were disappointing in the group game most especially against Norway which was suppose to be a win match for them, they were lucky that they won that high in the last game and this was just enough for their qualification but I don’t think with the way they are playing that they would go far. My surprise team would be Ivory Coast and Ghana both of which I didn’t expect much from but they seriously did very well and could get past the round of 32 if they played same way they did in the group stages

Although Morocco has made me more proud but I'm so proud of the African team in the World Cup, 9 out of the 10 teams representing Africa has secured the round of 32. It's unfortunate that South Africa got eliminated they'll have to go bek to their country to secure their jabss , they tried in qualifying but their best in the competition wasn't enough.
 After watching Morocco against Brazil I'm confident that they'll be able to withstand Netherlands, they finish their group unbeaten so they're a serious threat to Netherlands and not a team to underrate. After Morocco, I'm more confident in Ivory Coast to get past the round of 32, Ghana's performance wasn't very interesting cause they played defensively, same as Dr Congo.

You don’t have to be surprised, where you expecting South Africa to beat Canada who are a host nation in the Tournament, I have always seen South Africa like a team who are supposed to be eliminated from the group stages, but fortunately for them they qualified, and I knew that the round 32 was the last place they could get in the FIFA World Cup Tournament, because they’re not a very good team, and they qualified luckily to the knockout stages of the Tournament which is why FIFA World Cup, South Africa are a terrible team in Africa and there hate watch is massive right now, and I’m completely convinced they’re not going anywhere unless they’re going home right now, early tomorrow morning they’re leaving the United States of America.

Hahaha now they will have more men to attack Africans living in their countries. I have Eustáquio to thank for putting an end to the horror by scoring a late winner. I predicted that Canada was going to beat South Africa but I didn’t think it would be difficult for them. Imagine how Canada will fare against stronger teams.

Had the been South Africans only asked other Africans in South Africa to leave without maltreating and killing some of them in cold blood I wouldn't have hate them because it's their country and they have the full right to ask anyone who's not South African to leave. I hate South Africa for killing and maltreating their fellow Africans and I haven't seen what they will do that will make me change the hatred I have for them. African nations are not divided we are only not supporting the Africans they didn't see themselves as Africans.

At this round of 32 I'm not sure if South Africa, Cape Verde and Dr Congo could make it out of this without being defeated, so it wasn't about Dr Congo alone that was a surprise up to this round of 32, I'm also amazed how Cape Verde made it to this stage and they are doing well also, only that there are no confidence in the three countries I've mentioned to that extent that they can still go beyond to round of 16, but anything is bound to happen in case they performed well.
