The news of the loss of one of the Africa's young talents, Jayden Adams, 25 years has filtered into the air today after returning from his world cup tournament debut. This is a big loss to the Mamelodi sundown FC, South Africa football and Africa at large. It was reported that he had earlier lost his grandmother about 2 weeks back. The reason for his death has not been fully made public as the family seeks for privacy at this time of grief.
Source: Fabrizio Romano , wiki
What a big loss; he participated in the World Cup games, and the World Cup is still ongoing, yet he is nowhere to be seen until the end of the world cup games. I feel sorry for him, his club, and the South African team because this is not an easy situation for family members and also his teammates, especially the ones that are very close to him. There have been so many activities going on in South Africa that don't seem to be safe for residents. I just hope this has nothing to do with his death.

The causes of his death has not been released which makes me wonder if he died of mysterious circumstances, I am forced to wonder why they are concealing the causes of his death. I would not link his death to the Xenophobic attacks since he is a local and not a foreigner. Anyways, time will tell, at this moment I really sympathize with his family and young ones, loosing a very young guy of his age is very painful, it made me remember when I lost my 26 year old male cousin.

So sorry his family for the loss, you just said something that reminded us what south Africa is turning into in recently but since official statement has not been released about his death, we can not conclude anything for now but it is a pity for someone was part of south African team in the ongoing world cup to die just like that, although I did not support south Africa for once in this world cup because of how they have been treating other African countries that are in their country, south Africa is becoming something else which I think other African countries should look into before it gets to something that might take much time to handle, it is a pity for this to happen, may his soul rest in peace

I didn't know that Sadio Mane announced his retirement from international football two days ago. It's strange that, being such an important player in African football and having been in the World Cup recently – Senegal played on the 1st of this month, 11 days ago against Belgium, in a game Senegal could have won – there wasn't much talk about his retirement announcement from international competitions. Unfortunately, we Africans have been a great failure in the World Cup, and it's unacceptable that an entire continent has never won the World Cup, even though it has been organized for over 30 years. What the hell are we lacking? We have good players who play in Europe, and yet we are a failure.

Well that is fake, I didn't even read such news. About sacking their coach, I don't blame them honestly, the manner at which they crashed out is rather very disappointing, from 2 goals ahead to defeat. I was not very pleased hearing about Mane's retirement from international duty, he's just 34 years old and not yet that old to retire, I hope he changes his mind and returns before the next AFCON at least. Anyways, not everybody is Ronaldo or Messi that are playing for much longer. I wish him the best though.

Argentina defeated Switzerland in the early hours of today 3-1 AET. Their next match would be England for the semi-finals. This would be a battle between two players I like very well which are Kane and Messi, I'm not going to stake on that match as I would hate to see one of them cease to advance to the final, but that is the game.

About the news of Court of Arbitration (CAS) overturning the verdict of CAF awarding the 2025 African Cup of Nations to Morocco, I don't think I'm even interested in that. CAF played themselves when they decided to make Morocco the champions after Senegal won on the pitch.
As for Pape Thiaw, I think he was sacked because of that comeback Belgium made in that round of 32 game. Senegal should've won that game but failed to poor tactical discipline in the last 7 minutes of normal time.

It is a standard practice for the cause of the death of such a high-profile individual to be investigated before the cause of death is announced. Authorities would not want to make mistakes that would lead to misinformation. Although there might be an informal report through social media, especially if there are witnesses who have pictures or videos. But in the case of Jayden Adams, I have seen a single video that shows the cause of his death.

With this statement of yours, you actually nailed it because that's what it is. Nigeria and Ghana have more talented players than Morocco and cape Verde, but due to how poor sport development is in the country, we are still backward, and our inability to qualify for the world cup, even when given a lifeline at the playoff against Dr congo speaks volumes of how backwards we are in that regards, so I totally agree with your sentiment about this.
You are right that Nigeria and Ghana have more talented players than Cabo Verde because as far as I know Nigeria has top players who are playing in European clubs, for example Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are two very talented players but even then, Nigeria did not qualify for this World Cup. But one thing to note is that the Moroccan team has more talented players than Nigeria, and they are much stronger and are also performing in different class clubs. Therefore it is clear that Morocco is one of the strongest teams in Africa, as we have seen in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as they were able to reach the quarter-finals in this World Cup.

Truly, the Nigerian super eagle may have more talented players than Cape Verde, but it is so unfortunate that we couldn't go far even to qualify for this world cup not to talk of play within the tournament, while we all can see how Cape Verde show their competency in this world cup and perform best even be joined the limit we expected them to get to, please why many will definitely believe that in football it is not by how far but how well, as we speak we all know that we cannot even stand the power of Morocco when it comes to football any longer with what they are playing these days.
Cabo Verde has really put in a great performance in this World Cup but I still think that this team is behind the Nigerian team in terms of quality. Cabo Verde actually played the most aggressively against Spain and Argentina in this World Cup, and we think that their goalkeeper performed the best. Cabo Verde's goalkeeper made many excellent saves against Spain and Argentina, which is why we see many football fans praising this African team. However, the Nigeria team has some smart players who are playing in different leagues but even then this team has not qualified for the World Cup, so it seems that this country needs an experienced manager to have a chance at the World Cup in the upcoming season.

I was also among those who believed that hoax, after verifying the information, it turned out that Morocco remains the reigning AFCON champion. If that happens, I think it’s a ridiculous competition, because it means stripping the title from the actual winner on the field.

Senegal did their best at the world cup, but the federation did not consider it a sufficient achievement. I agree with the federation, Senegal should have had a longer run in this year's world cup.

Sometimes it's good to walk away when you are still value. Through out Mane career, he has only won 1 Trophy and that was the Afcon, he has represented Senegal for years in many tournaments and none has been successful, his world cup performance was below average if you ask me, he knows he doesn't have anything to give them again and it's better he do that because I don't know what he will come and do next Afcon or another world cup.

Loon at his performance in Al Nasr, I don't know because Ronaldo is stealing the show and want to be the guy the club want, he is not scoring goals like when he was in Liverpool, the guy has done the best from his previous club than he is in Al Nasr and I will not be surprised too if he that club be his last club to play, better that he is giving it a rest.

I saw this on a new feeds from Google and never took it seriously cause I taught it's one of those trollings from other African countries towards South Africa for their Xenophobic acts not until now I'm seeing it here, it's so sad, they should release the cause of his death so people don't fo spreading fake informations about it for clicks.
What a loss to his club and country, it's a painful one indeed cause he died so soon, maybe he would've got a better offer to play in a bigger club due to his presence in the World Cup but death cut his career short, so sad.

Akor Adams was literally doing greatly with Sevilla already last season. Yes they couldn't make it to the European competition but with a new and ambitious owner as Sergio Ramos, the club will most definitely transform into something beautiful.
Adams Akor has moved to the Italian side Venzia. I'm keen to see why he choose them though when he can literally leave them be or move to better competitive side. I will see what this brings though.

I read in several media that The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has decided to overturn the victory of Morocco and to claim Senegal as the winner but it turned out to be totally fake news. I wonder know what's the point about such move and whether it is a pre announcement or such of pressure on CAS.
Meanwhile, Senegal has sacked its manager, Pape Thiaw, after their exit from the World Cup. I believe they did their best there.
I would have been happy if the news was true, but nevertheless I'm faithful that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will rule in Senegal's favor. Bloggers knows what they will post to their audience to gain engagement. Since Africans are desperate to hear the judgement of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the Senegal and Morocco's case, bloggers are speculating fake news about the case just for engagement.

Yeah it was weird to see how many blogs and media reporting sports news are spreading that news as a fact. No need to talk about people social media too where things become crazier. What makes me wonder how can that be true when no major media news posted it and nothing by CAS.
Nevertheless, the announcement will happen soon or later
The best timing will be the day of the final game in the World Cup or just the days after when everyone will be celebrating or focusing about the news of the winner.

Senegal did their best at the world cup, but the federation did not consider it a sufficient achievement. I agree with the federation, Senegal should have had a longer run in this year's world cup.
I respect their decision but Senegal couldn't do better than that in my opinion with the same team. They still need to reach a higher level for the entire team. They have to train hard to resist until the last whistle and especially keeping the same form and level of pressure until the end. This problem is similar to the other African nations. It was obvious when you see most of them losing at the end of the match..

I didn’t even know that this is still on.
At this point I don’t know if I am the only person that doesn’t care about the judgement.
I think we have moved past that quickly.
As for the performance of the two teams in the World Cup, I would say we can all agree that they were excellent. Senegal how have a lot of room for improvement and if they do, we can see them perform better in the next World Cup games.

I think Akor Adam’s had a good season with Sevilla and also with the Nigerian national team last season and personally I was expecting either a premier league move or a more competitive team for him but seeing him move to Venezia is a little bit of a downgrade. Rather than move to Venezia it would have been better if he stayed with Sevilla for at least one more season and
I believe if he had stayed with Sevilla and perhaps try to replicate his previous performance last season into this new season he have a more better chances of making a big move to a bigger team. But seeing him at Venezia now a team that can easily be relegated back to the serie B might be more of a setback for him, but sometimes football can really be unpredictable. I believe if he can get a good playing chance there and scores a lot of goals then he can still attract big clubs. All the same I wish him goodluck in this new challenge.

Sadio Mane's retirement came too early at this stage of his career, and I believe something prompted him to make a move at this point, but all the same, if he feels that's the best step to take, it's fine. Maybe this World Cup had a down tone on him that made him take such a decision to take a break from football at the moment.

I don’t even know the case is in court, and I don’t even care about the judgements, all i know is that Senegal were the winner of the African cup of nations, and the court can deliver any judgment that they like, I don’t really care. I don’t even know that people are still talking about the case, I think we have forgotten about it already. How will they expect Senegal to return the trophy, that doesn’t make any sense. Bloggers are going to take advantage of cases like this, they looking for what’s going to give them engagement.

The unbelievable performance of all African teams in the ongoing world cup is so disappointing,  losing when all it takes to win is already available is the only reasons I have downgraded African teams this season,  especially that of Egypt on there game against Argentina, on that game Egypt almost made it to the top but why they gave up for Argentina is what I can't tell.  Till now I have never stopped getting angry for  because they had everything needed to do so
