The news of the loss of one of the Africa's young talents, Jayden Adams, 25 years has filtered into the air today after returning from his world cup tournament debut. This is a big loss to the Mamelodi sundown FC, South Africa football and Africa at large. It was reported that he had earlier lost his grandmother about 2 weeks back. The reason for his death has not been fully made public as the family seeks for privacy at this time of grief. Source: Fabrizio Romano , wikiWhat a big loss; he participated in the World Cup games, and the World Cup is still ongoing, yet he is nowhere to be seen until the end of the world cup games. I feel sorry for him, his club, and the South African team because this is not an easy situation for family members and also his teammates, especially the ones that are very close to him. There have been so many activities going on in South Africa that don't seem to be safe for residents. I just hope this has nothing to do with his death. So sorry his family for the loss, you just said something that reminded us what south Africa is turning into in recently but since official statement has not been released about his death, we can not conclude anything for now but it is a pity for someone was part of south African team in the ongoing world cup to die just like that, although I did not support south Africa for once in this world cup because of how they have been treating other African countries that are in their country, south Africa is becoming something else which I think other African countries should look into before it gets to something that might take much time to handle, it is a pity for this to happen, may his soul rest in peace May his body rest in peace, to me I see the death of a footballer as one minute representing your country…another minute they are wearing a jersey next minute RIP, and a police investigation…it sure would be so painful to the family alot, and all painful to all Africans, I think you have a point until an official statement is made before it is right to conclude on anything now…And I also hear what you’re saying about South Africa lately. A lot of people have been talking about how other Africans are treated there. Xenophobia, violence, the way people are profiled... it’s been getting worse, not better which I think means something needs to be done there, not just keeping quiet.

I wouldn’t call anyone inferior to another, that’s just wrong. In my opinion, the Super Eagles team are suffering from bad management and lack of drive from the players. I made a joke some days ago that if Nigeria had qualified for the World Cup, we would have heard stories of players being owed salaries and probably a training boycott. Personally, I feel like there are only a few players in the Super Eagles who are passionate about playing for the country, the rest are just there for points.
If we want to play the blame game as what have being going with the Nigeria supper Eagle then I must say that alot of things is not I palace and corruption, bad management and lack of motivation and support for your country is what is killing the supper Eagles, but as much as that if everyone need to take responsibility and begin to take action that alignment can produce success for the supper Eagle going forward. When I look at the current suppers Eagles of Nigeria, I see prospects and a future full of hope to succeed. First off, I’m not playing “the blame game”. Secondly, you cited the same issues I already mentioned above. Usually when people talk about seeing prospects, they often refer to young teams I don’t see “prospects” in this team. By the next AFCON, the current players may not be at their peak anymore. What we have in the Nigerian team is individual talent and zero team balance. It’s similar to what is happening with England in the World Cup, the team is relying on Bellingham and Kane to win all their matches, so far it’s worked for them but in my experience that is not a sustainable model for any team.

The Super Eagles shot stopper, Stanley Nwabali, has returned to his formal club as a free agent after he left the club in February on mutual consent. Stanley Nwabali left to seek for a new challenge elsewhere, but he couldn't secure any deal with any club in Africa or aside Africa, and that decision made him to lose his position as the first choice keeper in the Super Eagles team. Now that he has rejoined Chippa United, let's see if he can reclaim his position in the Super Eagles team.

I was surprised that Stanley Nwabali aka Bobo, couldn't secure a more lucrative contract after leaving Chippa United. He built his reputation with his impressive performance in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco. There was interest from clubs like Raja Casablanca, Al-Ettifaq, Queens Park Rangers, and Simba SC, but none of them materialized. The negotiation between the 30-year-old goalkeeper and Tanzanian side Simba SC was almost concluded, but it was reported that personal terms and financial disagreements were the setback. I hope he recovers his number one position in the club and national team.

If the bookmarkers had initiated options for gamblers to bet if Stanley Nwabali will secure a contract with another club after leaving Chippa United or not, I would had bet on the option that Stanley Nwabali will secure a contract, because we were made to understand that there were several offers for him on table. I'm sure he's going to recover his number one position in Chippa United because for them to resign him, it seems he's better than the goalkeepers in Chippa United but I'm not sure if it's possible for him to recover his number one position in the Super Eagles team.

It is mostly advised that don't quit the one you are holding on to until you have a new and better offer with you, I think it will definitely be a regrettable step it took for the first time before he left since he has nothing to show after that. Many players that do sort out for more greener pasture do consider their offers and they just don't leave on a assumption level with the hope and expectation of being considered if the go somewhere else, but their presence is mostly requested and that is why they often take some leave for other club and you can also compare the prospects/chances of a player to that of a keeper.

I expect him to reclaim his position as the number one shot stopper of our super eagles, if he can win back his number one position at chipper United, because his form and his ability to be featuring in matches week in week out will determine his faith in our super eagles team. I didn't know who advised him to leave chipper United in the first place, when he has not secured a move elsewhere, but his agent deserves more of the blame because he is his direct representative, so if he can't secure a better move, why will he advise him to terminate his contract earlier this year? I just thank God for him that he is back, and if he can reclaim his position as the number shot stopper of chipper United, he will definitely reclaim his position as super eagles number one keeper.

I still don't understand how be couldn't secure a contract with another team after he forced himself out Chipper United, he tried in the AFCON and should've engaged with one or two teams outside Africa, maybe the options he had were less suitable like Chipper United's offer. I'm happy for him, even though I want him to be in a better club at Europe. Going back to Chipper Cash is like a man who goes back to his ex after a divorce cause he couldn't see good options, I don't see that as going forward, but football wise I think it’s better than being left without a club so he'll retain his number one position in the Super Eagles. For now, I've not seen anyone that's better than him, not even Okoye.

I am very sure this guy has exceeded 30 without a proper professional career. It will be rare to see a club that will sign Nwabali, as to me I think he lacks internet presence and dont have a good agent. His style of goalkeeping is also a challenge. Clubs outside of the continent want a flexible goalkeeper and one that they will profit better from the scouting. Also, lack of World Cup participation is a limitation why he didn't secure a good club. If the Super Eagles were in the World Cup, maybe Nwabali would have been exceptional, and clubs may have shown interest in him.

I think it's more of an age problem than having an agency without much Internet presence. No professional league/ club would agree to sign a player above 30. There's a lot to consider in that case--- how long can he play? How long can he perform at his peak? What are the chances that he can maintain his training routine no matter how tough, to stay fit? No hate, no shades at all. Nwabali is good, but the cape verdearn keeper has increased the level of difficulty for striving African goalies like him. You have to be extraordinary to get a contract based on trial from any team.

Stanley Nwabali is a very good and talented player and he has been doing very well as a goalkeeper, I was even surprise that no European club came for him maybe because his already old but I believe if super eagle had qualified and went to the World Cup and he performed very well a very good club in European would have sign him. Well it is good that he went back to his former club because it is better to be in a particular club and play than not being in any club at all. I wish him well.

The unbelievable performance of all African teams in the ongoing world cup is so disappointing, losing when all it takes to win is already available is the only reasons I have downgraded African teams this season, especially that of Egypt on there game against Argentina, on that game Egypt almost made it to the top but why they gave up for Argentina is what I can't tell. Till now I have never stopped getting angry for because they had everything needed to do so
Egypt messed up by giving way for those equalizing 2goals by Argentina, there's no serious team that'll be leading with 2 goals ahead to becoming defending side even though we know what happened later I still blame Egypt for creating a room for that, that match was one of the disappointing match I watch in the ongoing world cup, Honestly African teams was full of this spotted shit, I mean the second half drama that got almost all of them eliminated but I can't forget Morocco national team performance, they proved to the world that Africa has talented players that are equal to the task, going further to talk about Egypt performance in that match is like medicine After death, they are out perhaps they have learn their lessons.

Imagine picking Egypt to win then you start rejoicing cause the game was 0-2 with Egypt ahead at 80 mins only to check the scoreline at full-time to see that Egypt lost by 3 goals in 13mins later. What a big disappointment, a friend of mine was so pissed cause that was what happened to him, he kept laying curses on Egyptian defenders. I see people praising Morocco for receiving quarterfinals but is that the standard for African teams? Quarterfinals shouldn't be the standards, it's so disappointing that in 2026, even with how modernized football has become, no African country can go past the Semifinals, this year's World Cup is even worst cause 10 African teams participated but only 1 was able to reach Quarterfinals.

I am also very surprised with him leaving as a free agent without any deal from any club in that South African league, I think he has been incredible with his former team maybe he have relationships problem with his team and they failed to renew his contract, or he thought he can get another club easily, and now that it seems to be impossible, he have to go back to any team that will take him for free. He should have lost his place as the first choice keeper for long because he has started to act strange, I think he feel entitled to be the first choice maybe because his AFCON performance and think no keeper will bench him in the national team. Well I am not happy to here this news, but he need to do better to prove himself.

I just think Egypt were relaxed after scoring their second goal, and that was the reason why Argentina were able to get a win in the match. I was really disappointed with them, because they should have just try and maintain their win, they should have played a complete defensive game just to avoid Argentina from penetrating into their defense. Honestly most people got disappointed in them, because after they scored their second goal, most people already believed that they have won the match already, but they ended up disappointing people.

I think the Egyptian coach may have forgotten the famous saying that attack is the best defense. Egypt played well but could not maintain that rhythm until the end. If Argentina had been equal in the allotted time, we would have seen a tiebreaker but FIFA has deprived us of that too. Therefore, I am disappointed with the role or performance of the Egyptian coach and strongly condemn FIFA's actions.

I saw this news and I thought it was a fake news but after sometime I realized that it wasn't, like is this suppose to be an upgrade or what exactly? Leaving the club Chippa UTD for a new chapter and new challenge was what he should have stick to or maybe his agent didn't do a good job by searching for a better club outside Africa, for him to come back to his former club is a bad move, is like going back to your vomit. I expect more from him, at least even if he couldn't get a new club and wants to go back to the SA league it should have been a different club not that same club he left, I wonder how they would see him. Nwabali should have stayed at the club because going back could turn out to be an insult or an embarrassment to him, for me is a wrong move.

It's good to explore greener pasture, but not the best decision to quit where you're when you're not yet very sure of where you're going. Nwabali moved faster than his shadow, quitting Chipper United with the intention that he's already very certain of signing a new club, same thing that happened to David de gea when he left Manchester United as a free agent and stated without a club for a whole year, losing his spot as well in the Spanish national team. Nwabali is lucky Chipper accepted him back, people don't normally have that kind of luck getting back to where you initially left in such a situation.

I don't know why we has less African players working as full time goalkeeper, I don't know why but most often, it's that way, they don't get the job. That aside. Sining comes with luck and it happen to almost all the players. When Osimehn was been treaded badly and was not allow to play in England, he went to Galatassaray and it work forbhim. The same way Mwabali is not giving too much attention now, he will have another club that will want him. If Nigeria made it to the world cup, even if we don't win, I'm sure we can reach round of 32. This is why many teams want to be their with world cup. Imagine that Cape Verde goalkeeper that had a special moment for Messi and since their last goal, man has showcase that he is okay with the job and had been going viral. I'm sure he will have many proposals now from other clubs despite his age.

I don’t know the problem that made him leave the South African club but one thing that I know is most certain is the fact that life after he left the club wasn’t great for both parties involved, I think if he had actually found a club he wouldn’t be months without professional football games. I usually say that as a nation Nigeria missing out on this World Cup was a very big disappointment to them too because aside the views to cheer ones nation there is the chance of players to write their name in historical tournaments and also could be a big place where they get to make that big money move. Nwabali needs game time for everything most especially for a player having is age already going towards those retirement age then it is best he is patient with them and simply get those minutes in again for him to be able to retain his number in the national team
