All these controversies are based on what people are seeing with their eyes in this tournament, normally when you’re someone’s fan you might not want to accepts some facts but it’s evident…I won’t particularly say it’s rigged but there’s clear favoritism towards Argentina.

And to answer your last question, if it was another national team that had this controversies surrounding their games and winnings, I still think this attacks would still continue and it’s not like everyone is jealous of these Argentine team suddenly. Last World Cup if you noticed, they aren’t many people talking about refereeing in World Cup games even though there’s a very controversial game in the quarterfinals between the Netherlands and Argentina but in this World Cup, the very first game Argentina played ended controversial when people where questioning why Messi wasn’t given a red card for his tackle against an Algerian player.

You are saying that Argentina was favored in this world cup but you didn't even see the effort of this team. Even if there were any poor officiating, if the players didn't perform well did you think they would have advanced further in the world cup. As much as I didn't like Trump meddling in the game cause if every president who's country got a red card call FIFA president over rule the red card, it's going to ruin the game but I blame FIFA cause they caused it, their unfairness gave Trump a reason to take that action, it was uncalled for but I like that "Karma was a bitch" and fucked with USA, they got thrashed by Belgium even with Balogun's presence.

The unfairness of FIFA has caused lots of controversy in this tournament and made lots of fans believe that they're favouring Argentina to win. I don't know why Messi wasn't penalised for that his poor tackle on an Algerian player, Argentina would had won still and all these conspiracy of FIFA favouring them won't be trending if Messi was booked with a yellow card atleast.

FIFA didn't know it would turn out this way, that their failure to give Messi a red card or a yellow card when he mistakenly marched on a player's foot, someone influential like Trump would want the same judgment to pass to an American player, since both committed the same offense of marching on a player's foot.

This is a lesson for FIFA and the referee to mind how they officiate in a given match, because the very way they give or not give offense cards(red and yellow cards), other teams would like to be on the lookout for the same thing. So, let them be plain, not to side a team over the other

The outcome of the game isn't going to be decided by what people want but who's the strongest and luckiest between Spain and Argentina. If Argentina is able to outplay Spain, they will definitely win the cup but if they can't, Spain will win the finals. I'm not supporting any of them. I will just relax and watch beautiful football.

When i read to the point where you said "sentiment aside," i was thinking you are going to talk about how Argentina was favoured by the referees in some of their games in this world cup but you did not talk about it rather you only said that even if there were poor officiating, which means you are not even convinced there were poor officiating, i am not surprised with your statement because you are a typical Messi fan and you will always say things to suit you and make Argentina look like a saint. The numbers of allocated slots that African receives isn't the problem, the problem solely is our performance...South America received lesser slot than African yet they are still in the game to play a world cup finals.. From what I saw in the group stage and all, many African team lacked proper attack to get goals and place theirselves far ahead for their opponents... They also their defense couldn't withstand pressure and so after putting up a good defense, they defense will later crumble due to the constant pressure coming from the opposition team.. African team needs to work on this if they really want to go far in the next World Cup.. I really want an African team to win the World Cup...

Honestly that's really sad to see, but you know Trump sometimes can be a very hard man. He himself had to intervene so as to have the red card's punishment overruled. I know FIFA should've stood their ground and do what is right, but I guess they couldn't resist such big figure's pressure.

Although the player paid a fine and was placed on a one year probation period. If within this one year he receives another red card, he'll serve this match ban and that red card's penalty as well.

The reason why Donald J. Trump pushed for Balogon's red card to be cancelled was because he believed some players committed similar fouls of that of Balogon's and they weren't given a red card. By just following closely the World Cup referees decisions mainly, you will notice that FIFA were backing teams over the others. France, USA and Argentina are among teams which got some sort of supports by referees. There is less cards to be given to their players, they revoke the famous suspension of the US attacker, they remove goals for their opponents for a reason and when the same happens for them, referees just let the goal be counted...
We cannot say that this version of the World Cup is the best for real. It is one of the worst for me since decades. I just want to see nations backed by FIFA being eliminated.

I hope you know that it can be very hard for most of the African countries to compete with other non African countries that have good football history and top players in their league. This is football and we shouldn't bring sentiment to it and countries will skill players are the ones that will have high chances of winning the world cup. Next world cup would see many countries participation. Few days ago I came across an online news where it was published that FIFA is looking at opening more slots from the current number to 62 or thereabouts which I think is Cool to give opportunity to other national team to participate in the next FIFA world cup. This will actually now elongate the time frame of FIFA world cup tournament and also expenses would be much more but this would give smaller nation's the opportunity to be an to feature in the work cup.

However, there were lot's of observation made this ongoing world cup. The matches amongst the smaller nation's that were able to qualify speaks of big volume as their performances are very stunning and commendable. African countries had a great opportunity to play in the semi-finals in this World Cup, because out of a total of 48 teams, 10 of our teams are African. This is undoubtedly a great opportunity. Previously, we had a limited number of places, as a result of which many good teams could not reach the main stage, such as: Nigeria. Now that competition has emerged in African football, a real platform has been created to test the quality of local players. Cape Verde has shown a very good performance for the first time. Although ten teams are not enough as we hoped, the opportunity is not too bad.

However, one thing must be remembered that success is not guaranteed by increasing the number of participating teams alone. To go to the knockout stage, seizing opportunities in big matches, discipline in defense and mental toughness are very important. Many African teams can compete with the best in Europe or South America in terms of physical ability and speed, but fall behind in making decisions or seizing opportunities at crucial moments of the match. And there is still a lot of work to be done in this regard.

While there's an aspect of jealousy when such individuals notice unfairness they are going to push more against such team and the hate will intensify and this is what we saw against the Argentina team.
