FIFA don't use the performance of a particular team in the world to make them the next host. The are criteria that should be met and if that's achieved, FIFA will allow that country to host the world cup. I hope that Morocco will be able to meet up to the requirements in order for them to be given the opportunity to host the world cup as an Africa nation.

The way the country is doing if they told me that they're going to host a world Cup I would believe it because they have a big country and has made so many plans for there future sports that could be what no countries in Africa has done in there sports and besides the stadium they played on the AFCON final is very standard to me and besides it could be very easy for there country to meet more than the criteria of FIFA to host it. Is not my country but it would please me for the World to come to Africa for the next world Cup so that most Africans who didn't get the chance because of all the rejecting that has been on this world cup would have the opportunity to.

They have the facilities and there's political stability in the country which can't also be used for an excuse. And if there's any need then countries like Egypt and Tunisia can come in as co-host to ensure a successful and smooth tournament for all tourists, participating countries and the organisers.

What do you expect Spain defense to do? They did a perfect job there, because they know how dangerous Messi can be, and that’s the only way which they can pin him down and it worked for them. Argentina should have come up with a better strategy.

Nigeria does not have good leadership before but if it was before, we can still host World cup and everything will go as planned. The Nigeria space became worst for international host after 2015 when the issue of Boko harm became peak in the country, movement to north was bad, people feel unsafe and all we think that time was insecurities and fast forward today, we are in another dimension of insecurity till date, nothing has change even today.

If there is going to be another world cup that I can be confident in again, I will go with Rwanda and not Morocco, we need countries that will represent Africa at any level, they are black from begin in to the end but Morocco has claimed several time that they are not black, they say they are Arabs and if you look their root very well, I don't doubt it, they don't look black racially but I just wonder how they ended up in Africa in the first place.

Honestly speaking, in my stay here for a long time on this earth I have been watching football games over time and I have never been this frustrated over a single game like this World cup was totally trash…the truth be told, I was expecting to see some enchantment to see some real fireworks in this World Cup with Argentina but the game was so disappointing to some point I couldn't want to waste my time watching the second half again…but at the second half I was still hoping they could still booms back with a draw or something but unfortunately that was just me dreaming.

I noticed something from Spain in this World Cup that I would love the Super Eagles to keep doing in that game of tiki-taka like style that makes the other team never touches the ball was one main idea the Spain team could come up with and it worked out well for them.

Yes Morocco can actually host the world cup if they want, not forgetting Egypt also have what it takes to host the World cup, both African countries are the most eligible African countries that has the infrastructure and are up to standard.

From the internet, 2030 world cup will be hosted by Argentina, Spain and Morocco. Morocco infrastructure will be needing a little upgrade before the world cup, still plenty of time to work on their stadiums.

The criteria for selecting the country to host the FIFA world cup is not by the leadership in that country or its president, FIFA has their own standard they look into and until they discover a country has this particular requirement before they could consider it for such an opportunity, moreover the country that is mostly challenged in terms of security should not also be considered for things like this and I think this is where Nigeria have to also work more better regarding it security measures against all forms of terrorism to attract for international tourist into the country as well as other opportunities.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina was not interesting because I noticed that Spain only showed a better performance in this match. Actually, no one thought that Argentina would show such a poor strategy. Argentina showed the most shameful performance in this glorious match of the World Cup but I think that Spain was able to maintain their consistent performance and accordingly they defeated Argentina in many competitions and won the trophy in this World Cup. You are right that Argentina is the first team in the history of the World Cup who could not take a single shot on target in this game, due to which Spain was able to easily defeat the last season's champion team in this FIFA World Cup final match with their strategy and skill.

Apart from the security problem that Nigeria seems to be having, ask yourself if Nigeria can host the world cup. Before any country can host a big international tournament such as the world cup, there most be some parameters which includes the infrastructure such as having good and world class football stadiums which Nigeria don't have. Apart from the Stadium at Uyo which other stadium do the super eagles of Nigeria use when ever they are playing their qualifications games at home. Just ask yourself when last Nigeria even hosted the African nationals cup , before we even talk about thinking about hosting the world cup.

How do you win a WC when 80% of our local leagues are poorly run and funded? and most of our exported players are not starters in their respective clubs and we still have a good amount of them going to a less competitive leagues for money.

The North Africans are the only ones showing some progress because they have the best training facilities and run the best leagues in Africa. Others are far behind..

I just saw a notification on my phone now that says Super Eagles are congratulating Spain for winning the World Cup and telling them that they’ll meet in 2030 as they target World Cup qualification.

The African teams are not ready to win the World Cup and from the points you’ve given, it is very clear that we are not ready and no matter how we try we have to make sure that where the problem is, it needs to be solved.

We are still far from winning the World Cup, we may just be amongst other African nations to keep escorting them to the World Cup and get to play some few games. Morocco still remains the best and I adore their nature of gameplay, they’re really making us proud for about two World Cup now.

The Super Eagles are so ridiculous for challenging Spain ahead of 2030 World Cup that we are not even sure if they will qualify because they are trying to become Italy who didn't qualify for the World Cup in 3 consecutive seasons.

If African teams want to win the World Cup, they must first work on their local leagues and develop them to international standards. They should also invest more in football because gone are those days when football doesn't generate enough income and revenue.

No African team can be compared with Morocco, they still have my respect because what they did in the 2026 world cup was impressive despite that they didn't advance further after France ended their journey. The Super Eagles of Nigeria is no where close to the quality of the Moroccan team.

Morocco seems to be doing well and better than South Africa in terms of sporting activities and how they put much attention in football than them. South Africa have hosted the World Cup 16 years ago and they did it very well, I think that should be the first time an African nation is hosting one. Morocco has all it takes to host one if given the opportunity. FIFA now allows countries to pair for the World Cup, so it won’t  really be an issue if other neighbouring countries come together to lobby for an hosting nation. Maybe this time around, it will be the time for Africa and not all African nations getting eliminated before reaching the semifinals.

The last time Nigeria hosted an international sporting competition was the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship, which included the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The competition was a success because the government in place did a good job.

However, I don't want Nigeria to host any FIFA competitions now. My reasons are as follows:

First, Nigeria is going through serious economic problems, so it would be a misplaced priority to spend money on an event that might not bring profits.

Second, we don't have a maintenance culture, so all the facilities that will be built would be allowed to rot. The stadium or sports complexes would be abandoned after the competition.

Lastly, we have one of the most corrupt leaders in the history of Nigeria. Hosting a competition would be an opportunity to syphon public funds through inflation of contracts and other criminal means.

It’s not In Morocco place to actually consider this, I think they went with those three countries simply because they think they stand a chance to get it approved with those footballing countries. In honesty Morocco currently has the best facilities to actually host any football tournaments now but they cannot host the current standard World Cup. The current World Cup is actually 48 teams with 104 matches even US actually co- host it, the burden will be really heavy on them.

In the past it was just 64 matches played compare that to an extra 40 matches now plus 12 extra teams that also need their separate camping grounds, it will be really difficult for Morocco to singly host it, although I will say with a fellow North African country it would have been a better all African country hosting it than mixed with the Europeans

I completely disagree with you, if you say you watch football regularly, you would have noticed that the World cup finals didn't end on a regular 90 minutes play, for a game to go into extra time, it means it was tough for both side not to have gotten a winning in the regular playing time. If you argue that Spain were more offensive, then I will agree with you, but for to say the game was a trash, then that's totally unfair because that wasn't really the situation on that day, we had nearly 15 minutes remaining for the game to have entered penalty shootout.. Argentina was not playing tiki-taka no doubt, but they had their game plan, they were more about counter attack, especially during closing time, and it has helped time, if the game was that easy for Spain, trust me the goals would have been more than just one.

I never believed spain would play so well, from my analysis I was actually thinking that the match is going to be a 50/50 but spain literally have the ball all by themselves. It was as if they were playing with underdog, but I just realized that argentina is better than that. They even tried to maintain the draw until the end of the game because the pressure was much.

Surely, they knew messi is thier major target. I discovered that if any player from argentina have the ball in his possession they usually locate messi where ever he is, and Spain were smart enough to discover that. That  is why they didn't give him the space to play.

It was indeed a boring game to watch but the results made it worth watching. I love that Spain didn’t give the referee anything to work with to help Argentina. They had the most possession, and showed they were of a higher class than their opponent.

Read carefully before posting. There is no way that you can be active on this thread and you don’t know what happened in the AFCON final between Senegal and Morocco, and the events that happened after.

Show me to anywhere on my post that I explicitly stated that I've been active on this thread... Not everyone is interested in the bullshit that happens under CAF. I barely watch those type of matches, especially since Nigeria was knocked out at a very crucial stage.

The world cup final was worth the hype and despite the fact that Argentina was frustrated all through the game from making any real impact, they were conscious of the fact that football is a game of numbers and focused on their defense all through the game. Spain was excellent and they displayed the highest level of team work with their tiki taka style of game. There won't be any point seeing the final game as unworthy because real fans enjoyed the game except those that bet on Argentina to win Spain or those who are Argentina real supporters. Even though I wasn't completely neutral before the game, I wished Spain could revenge for teams like Egypt and Algeria, I still didn't write off Argentina. But after watching the Spain performance after the first half and I to the second half, I became in full support for Spain to win because they deserved it, and sure, the best team won the game
