Invisible,

Why is the 'Official" forum as the other site forum? I think this should just be the official forum.

The other site is dead...

I removed it from the OP, some things were copied from the former dev's thread in haste.

Did your April 4th SMC deposit to Cryptsy ever go through?

No... Just checked again. It is not posted in my balance. Though when I look at the blockchain, it is confirmed..

What do you think I should do?

You should put in a support ticket.  Cryptsy tech support told me they were going to "rescan" the wallet.  That was 3 days ago.

This is the correct wallet and the one Cryptsy is using:

https://github.com/psionin/smartcoin/releases/tag/v1.3.2.0

I will put it in the OP.

I deleted the contradictory posts.

I don't like to moderate with a heavy hand but I made an exception in this case for the sake of clarity.  We all need to be on the same wallet.

We are back on CoinWarz.  We are towards the bottom of the list because they have us at 16 coins per block when we are at 64 coins per block.  I have contacted them about this error.

Since the coin is being rebooted and all...is there any chance we could rotate the logo about 5 degrees clockwise?  Because the "S" isn't symmetrical (i.e. the top is smaller than the bottom), the 45-degree diagonal slash in the logo cuts the top and bottom in slightly different places.  The result is that the S looks like it's leaning backwards every so slightly.  Once you see it you can't un-see it, and it gives a subliminal sense that Smartcoin is slightly off-kilter and backwards-leaning, which isn't a positive vibe for a coin (though, given recent history, I guess it's kind of appropriate...).

Sorry for the OCD Tongue

A rotation would make the 45 degree angle of the diagonal split non symmetric. Here are two versions with a different font:

Coinwarz.com should give this coin a boost.  I'm sure price will go up since it has been re listed.

Wolodarsky asked to make the current one symmetrical, the top part of the 'S' is smaller.

Thanks for the info. one more question what about the block reward lowering, is that still in place? if so when will it happen? or you just removed it and went back to the old (64) again? The reason i wonder is for this coin to keep up the old block reward as we saw the ones that was there didnt really work multipools drowned in fast easy coins plummed the price very fast, so for me to start beliving in this coin again i wanna know more about the reduced block reward. when its happening or whats planned to happen.

There is also a faucet and it looks like people are using it. Anyone know who runs it? Where to send SMC to refill the balance?

The last few months have been terrible financially for all coins, and it's understandable to notice the pools dumping large amounts of coins and think that reducing the subsidy is going to solve the problem. But yes, perhaps 64 is a bit much. However, the reduction that was put in place by the previous team ended up reducing the total amount of coins by more than half, and that seemed to be unintentional / not thought out.

Anyway, the result is that the subsidy is getting reduced to 32 in a few weeks, and to 16 in 5 months. Also, the decrease is going to be by 1/n rather than 1/2^n every iteration.

We now have a longer term strategy:

old:
Rewards end in 3.56 years

new:
Rewards end in 12.18 years

I think this is important and just makes sense.

It's a minor point, since the 1 coin per block isn't that significant, but when looking at the Bitcoin/Litecoin rewards schedule, it may be better to have it last longer than a few years (which actually would have been lowered to 2.5 years if just the change to 16 went through).
