Most notable in the short term is 32 coins per block will last only 200,000 blocks instead of the 400,000 that I had stated.

We are on block 173730.  So 200,000 (fork block) - 173730 = 26270 blocks left @ 40 seconds per block

26270 block X (40 sec/block) X (1 min/60 sec) X (1 hour / 60 min) X (1 day / 24 hour) = 12.16 days approximately

SmartPirate brought up a good point earlier about the logo not showing up well.  And I always notice a new logo on CoinWarz.  If anyone has an idea to improve or change our logo please post it here.  If someone here is handy with photoshop we could use your help!

Hi DEV for now we need Plan, coz now this coin have heart attack . Logo ,graphics and text about coin we can do that later .
Maybe you consider this simple plan >
1) change simple scrypt to someyhing else like Heavycoin = " HEFTY1 " ( it will be just for GPU with low fan noise )
2) Pools !!! , for now there is no working pools ( maybe we can start some official pool )

We just need do everything simple, really easy to use like " plug and play" , after this 2 simple points we can start think about logo, text , and in near future we can start serch for some merchants.

Well I'm not the dev but I can address some of you concerns.

1) We are tossing around ideas about how to bring somethng new to SMC, we have talked about adding PoS.  As for ASIC prevention I'm not sure what the dev thinks about it.  Perhaps in a future release.  From what I have read X11 seems to be the thing but this is not my area of expertise.

2) Cryptotycoons shut down all their pools and left a few days ago.  All UpDaMoon's pools have recently gone down.  I don't know if this is permanent yet.  There are 2 pools that I am going to test out myself and report the results.  Also, I am in contact with other pools trying to work something out.  The difficulty of SmartCoin is currently low enough to solo mine.  That is what I have been doing in the meantime.

Just last week we had 2 perfectly good competing pools so this took me by surprise.  These pools did not close because of SmartCoin, all their pools were closed.  Be assured that I am on it.

Attention:  There is something wrong with UpDaMoon's pool.  It has not found a block in at least the past hour even though I was mining there and I saw a solved block on cgminer.  

Also they are at:

No coins are accruing and therefore auto payouts are not happening.

My last auto payout was 6.5 hours ago.

And manual payouts are not processing either.

I have contacted them and I am awaiting their reply.

And no fees!  I still mine at the pools sometimes so people can see that I have enough faith in Smartcoin to put some hashes behind it.  And it is always good to support the pools because I expect the difficulty will be too high for me to solo mine SmartCoin in the future.

I'm solo mining only because cryptotycoon's shit the bed and cost me 900 smc. I'm only soloming SMC with one card at 675Kh I've also have 2500Kh pointed at Potcoin and a 725Kh guy mining Isracoins. I have close to 12000 smc. I'll mine till the block payout halves. The cost to mine is too high for the amount produced at those payout amounts under 64 SMC per block.

That last logo example is not my favorite at all. It IMHO should stay the same but make the S cobalt blue with the same around the diameter but thinner than this last examples. Simple but noticeable.

I am getting mixed messages from Cryptsy about a deposit I made.  They may or may not be on the right chain and they may or may not have suspended withdrawals and deposits depending on who I ask.  Did I mention that I am furious right now?

edit:  confirmed SMC withdrawals at cryptsy are disabled, testing deposits
