I agree with you, that addiction is entirely one's own responsibility. Indeed, in this case there is a role of influencers or anything that advertises gambling to introduce gambling to someone. But when the person can avoid it, then everything will not happen.

I will analogize it to cigarettes for example, the government does not prohibit but they still legalize and there are even warnings on cigarette packs, but still many people smoke and are even addicted. I guess if we really want to prevent this, the only real option is to stop gambling altogether. At the end of the day, KYC is a government requirement, and casinos are just following the law. So I have to open new account since the first one was compromised. So we don't know when it will happen and how it will happen and we are not custodial of the account but the casinos.
