Honestly I'm still going to route more for online jobs than physical jobs because I have experienced both. Online jobs mostly work on tasks and deadlines. Once you're giving a task, you are expected to deliver such task before the deadline given to you and when you deliver your task, you don't have issues with your employer. It reduces your physical interaction with the employer and any physical encounter which can bring you work related conflicts. Online jobs do not need you to start calculating transport expenses and others, it only requires you to properly equip your workspace and for you to be disciplined to deliver on your tasks and meet up on your deadlines. I will prefer online jobs than physical jobs for so many reasons but as an online worker, you must be highly disciplined and result oriented because these are areas most online workers get easily worked up. When you don't plan your work hours properly, you are most likely not to meet up with deadlines and to disappoint clients frequently.

This will continue for the foreseeable future as long as we continue to have internet access. Companies are now looking for employees who can save both travel costs and time. Global employment seems working for both employer and employee they meet halfway and they both earning together, with how the the internet empower the global business it's also helps both sides, it's not just passing and will be dissolve but instead it will create more opportunities.

Business owners outsource employee either to cut their expenses or to hire someone who fully deserves the title that may bring or deliver what they needed to fill in for the open slot.

Some jobs cannot be done online. During COVID-19, online distribution companies like Amazon made lots of money because customers could order anything online and get it at their doorsteps.  But don't forget that online orders would be a waste of time if there are no truck drivers, delivery workers, mechanics that repair the trucks and so on. There will always be online and offline jobs; neither will substitute for the other.

Yes, you're absolutely right that some jobs can’t be done online. Jobs like manual labour, healthcare that requires physical contact, firefighting, police work, and so on. While there are jobs that have to stick with the office protocols and attendance. The flexible jobs that can be done on computers and make people from other side of the world employed can be done for so many industries.

This. With the traffic that getting worse almost every year in any country, except those country implement extremely good on public transport. Traveling that takes hours from going work to going home takes a lot of time, energy and mental health. Companies that has flexible works, computer based should be done on home based or hybrid setup already. It will solve the problem for what traditional business do like operational cost on office based, equipments, etc.

That's right, it's also a good adjustment for those employees that are experiencing terrible commute in their areas.

It's not just a phase; it's something that will increase over time, because newer generations will be more into online employment than joining offices or doing offline jobs, so over time, there will be more opportunities for people to choose in the field of online employment. Some companies even give their employees on certain positions the option to choose if they want to work from the office or from home, because the positions they are working at allows them to work from home, and then submit their work and stuff directly from there without them having to commute to the office.

There are actually a lot of advantages but also some disadvantages to this. The very first disadvantage that I can think of about working from home is the fact that when you are working from home, you might start to become lazy over time, because you know that you are not being watched by anyone, and you have the freedom to do your work whenever you want, and that might make you more lenient towards your work, and over time, you will start to become less creative and focused on your job. This is what I have observed, but it isn't necessary for everyone to be like this, though.

Therefore, this is the good reason to learn soft skills and to encourage our children to do so. Whatever your age might be, the expanding growth of virtual practices in various industries (almost all of them), it becomes a necesity to keeping up with the times since the need for traditional skills has been reduced signifanctly. It has been a while since the last time i saw someone in developped countries using a pen and a paper.

I just wanted to say that not all people prefer online work over office work. Some people, when they have opportunity to choose,would rather spend time in office to be in better contact with their colleagues and to keep in a loop.

Also some people tend to be more productive in ofice atmosphere in comparison to more leisurely home office (or cafe bar).

That being said I think that remote work is here to stay as technology enabled that option and nothing will change that as long as we have electricity and stabile internet connection.

God I hope NO. There will be services that are suitable and efficient when done online but there are also some very important activities that should be done onsite.

To give you an actual example, let's take the case of any service-related job and their customer support service. Aren't we all tired being redirected to the same robotic AI voice over and over again? It's like we have to cross the Great Red Sea in order to reach and communicate with an actual person in order to address our problems. Now imagine if all service-related customer support are done online- we are nothing but doomed.
