It is true that crypto has increased the opportunities for online work. But I think the real change is that people are changing their mindset. Previously we thought that a job meant going to the office and working for eight hours but now someone is sitting at home and working on a project on a laptop. Many work full time, while others only earn small amounts in their spare time, It is not that it is a lot of money but it gives them an opportunity to use their time.

Yeah, looking at how cheaper it is to hire someone to work online, I would say capitalism will take it there. Just like how manufacturing moved to China, working will be moved to other nations as well. Hiring some American may cost you 100k a year, whereas hiring someone from Asia may cost you just 10k a year. That difference is huge when you consider thousands of workers and that is what the difference it will be for most companies to stay alive with competitive prices.

Obviously not all jobs can be like that, amazon still needs drivers and warehouse workers for example, or anything similar to that, but some jobs, boring manual office jobs that require repetitive tasks, will end up getting moved to overseas without a doubt.

During covid we were also sent to work remotely; employees liked a lot, employer wasnt happy about that, because employees became uncontrolled. After several months of working remotely, IT guys installed program that monitored user activity and created reports by the end of a day. It became ridiculous, that a person who worked with physical documents got a rebuke for showing little activity online (did not work with pc, did not pressed buttons...). Some of employees were fired because of low performance. We still have that activity monitor program running even after we have returned to office. It is humiliating that by the end of a week I must write a report what I have done during the week, and it will be compared to activity recorded in program. When I am out of the office on a meeting with a client, and we havent signed a deal - this means I havent done anything during 2-3 hours. But if that would have been done at the office, I have a proof that I had negotiations with a client. Such an absurd.

I believe in the future, of a job can be performed online, it could eventually be done by an artificial intelligence or an artificial intelligence agent...
The actual value and wealth creation will continue to be on jobs which will require people to show up to their offices or workshops, because it would need those jobs are not easily replaceable by thinking machines.

Though, online jobs will continue to be relevant on third world countries, in which salaries are very bad. Outsourcing will continue to exist in the future.

COVID-19 actually gave people a clear view of what the future workforce might look like — a system where online and offline jobs coexist. Offline jobs can’t be completely wiped out; yes, there’s a high chance they’ll reduce, but they won’t disappear. Jobs like bricklaying, chefs, lawyers, and others require human labour and can’t be fully replaced.

With that said, I think the future is going to be more of a hybrid than anything else. I guess I didn’t fully understand this when I first created this topic, but now I do. And keep in mind, a hybrid doesn’t mean both sides will be equal. Online jobs can still dominate while it remains a hybrid system. (Just like humans, we can inherit more traits from one parent than the other.)

Online job is definitely the future of global employment and it has really helped a lot of people to be self employed. It's true that some jobs still needs an office we're clients works in and be attended too, but online job job help solve a lot of problems without the client having to get the office.
