I agree with most, I think Joshua didn't really want to end it too soon, not sure if there is any contractual thing involved or anything but it was too obvious that this "boxing" match wasn't really a match at all, it was just sparring for Joshua. I mean what did people expected? I get that Jake has been boxing for a while and thanks to his follower base he is getting paid for it but the reality is simple that he is not a real boxer and just a youtuber. Joshua could have beaten him blindfolded.

I guess he toyed with him for a while , many were expecting Joshua to knock out Jake during the first round. But he didn’t he just prefer toying with him till he eventually run out.

Starting losing his balance that’s when Joshua strike more aggressively, it was really thrilling though the first rounds was quite boring , till round 6 when Joshua got all serious and decided to end it .

Maybe this is what happened but actually many eyebrow raised on why Joshua didn't finish it early while he actually have capabilities to do it. Many really think that this is scripted fight and Joshua just blow all his power on 6 rounds.

Some says that Joshua just take the money and didn't follow the script that's why that result happen then Jake Paul is suffering not only for his lose from Paul and also from his injury gotten in this fight. I don't find any thrill part in this fight since what we see is Joshua is holding his power. If he just throw lots of power punches and didn't hold on Paul will is done on early rounds in this fight.

Broke his jaw in two places and knocked him out with this shot. Jake didn’t belong in that ring but he gave one hell of an effort.

Agreed! It was also a good outcome for the great white Jake because a former heavyweight boxer who is very famous and who is not retired has agreed and signed the contract to fight him. I reckon if Jake Paul has not reached a high level of popularity in boxing, he will very much be ignored and jeered.

He has reached higher things than much of the boxers who are in the sport professionally. Also, he might be doing this as a troll on everyone.

Also, the brother Logan was stealing the necklace of Joshua heheheheheheehh.

I believe that fights like this should be banned. If an ordinary amateur blogger wants to fight a heavyweight, the consequences can be very severe. Jack ended up in the hospital after the fight and had to undergo surgery. His jaw was fractured in two places, with two titanium plates installed on each side. Some teeth had to be removed. No matter how ambitious he was, I do not think it was worth ending the fight with a broken jaw.
After his fight with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul overconfidently believed in himself. He thought he could compete with professional boxers. I previously wrote about how this blogger still doesn't understand where he's ended up. Or maybe it's the other way around. He was paid a good amount of money to fight Joshua. He lasted more than one round, which already makes him something of a celebrity. Is it worth it? Probably, with that kind of money on the line.

I'm sure that the organizers of the fight knows that Jake Paul, could take a beating from a professional boxer like Anthony Joshua, and survive, that is why they allowed the fight, I believe Paul, will be fine after medication and enough rest. Paul, will now understand where his category is after the knockout he received from Joshua, he now understands the difference between exhibition and the real deal. Let's not worry much about Jake Paul, he took the beating and he's richer, the organizers including Joshua, are richer so I don't see any reasons why anybody should worry about Paul, getting hurt.

Joshua might still continue in this money-spinning fight because there are rumours that he would fight kickboxer Rico Verhoeven.
I sincerely hope he doesn't go that route. He should concentrate on main boxing and face worthy opponents or sign off the scene.

~
Looking at the figure of the two, AJ is way larger than Jake Paul, all attributes to win is pointing to AJ.
That's why I felt AJ actually over celebrated his victory with the slit throat gesture. He went into the fight with his confidence top notch, seeing that the YouTuber wasn't in any way a match for him; both in strength and in height. So, why the over joy. That type of celebration would've been expected if the win went the other way.

This is why I don't pity boxers who lose because on the day they win, they also would celebrate. I saw how Daniel Dubois made AJ crawl in the ring like a toddler on several occasions 😂. Anyway, that's not to say I ain't happy over his win. He just has to tone it down.

Quote
And by the way, I read comments of people about the facial expression of Jake Paul when he was KO'ed on social media, and it was funny coz they  say, the expression shows the shock that AJ is not following the script lol.
Lol... That would be a contractual breach then. Should we expect any legal action? I doubt any of that is going to happen.

It only became a problem because you’re not familiar with how Drake bets. Haven’t you heard of the Drake curse? This guy is known for losing big money when gambling, that’s literally why he’s so popular in this space.

So it’s not surprising at all that he ended up betting on the wrong side again.
He just loves throwing money away, that’s kind of his thing now.

That wasn't a fight to me that was a complete beat up and jake paul has the stamina to take a beating from Anthony Joshua because he is well trained and he has been a fighter for a while. Anthony Joshua was not even fighting with a lot of seriousness that is it's even more embarrassing...jake paul is in good hands, he probably didn't sustain much bruises, he would bounce back on his feet soon

My bro a win is a win, for every victory you should be happy and Anthony Joshua won against Someone with a big mouth you know,
Loudmouths bring hype and sell tickets. I think it's a part and parcel of sports, especially boxing and wrestling. It's a promotion strategy. If boxers aren't loudmouthed going into a fight, it hardly draws attention. Ticket sales normally drops. Yes, Jake may be loud but he isn't the only one caught in that web. What about Fury?

Quote
if Jake Paul had won, we wouldn’t have rested for like one month, the buzz it would have made online.
That would've been quite understandable because AJ is the prize. Jack was a lesser fish in the fight. That's my point. I guess you're a die-hard AJ fan 🤔

Quote
My problem is why would Drake bet over $200,000 on Jake Paul to win, what gave him such confidence. Drake sometimes doesn’t think about his bets very well.
I think it's about time Drake was investigated. I suspect he intentionally takes wrong bets so as to mislead those who copy his bets. Perhaps he's in a contract with casinos he patronizes. That's a suspicion I've.

The dude will get his money back by stake in no time. Or he was even using stake money to bet, so he is losing nothing and stake lose nothing. But he creates a loud promo for stake. On the other side, if I we take a look on how much money Drake has, then winning risky bet with 200k on stake would reward him with really a nice amount. What were the odds on Jake? 8+ ? Btw, I dont think people copy Drake bets, instead, they bet opposite, as Drake often loses his bets Cheesy

You better believe there will be those who follow whatever influencer they adore, whether the influencer is stupid or not. Once they adore them, the follow them like zombies. Drake surely has that set of fans. About the odds, various sites had different odds, depending on whether the fight was going to end in TKO, draw, disqualifier or what not.

Yeah, we all know that we have the 'Drake Curse', so there could be some bettors who will go against his bet to have some fun or even troll him.

Intention or not, Drake is not a good sports bettors, he should really focus on his favorite game with is roulette.  Grin. Jake has been with Stakes for years now, and so we have the suspicions that he could have been playing with Stake money but we can't proved it.

Specially in how he bets during is live game, and Stake even change their max bet on him to $1 million per spin to accommodate him big bets.

My concern is not with who advised Jake, as it could have been his decision considering how much might be involved; whether he wins or loses, he has something to achieve, and Anthony was very merciful and did not cause him more damage. If not, we all know it could have been a brutal one for Jake.

My own problem now is who the hell usually gives Drake his betting advice, or does he just have a lot of sponsorship money to throw away in betting? Because how will he bet for Jake to win against Joshua, staking $200,000, which he just lost like that?

He has a 300 million contract with Stake, these losses don't cost him anything. And Drake has always been famous for his high-roll betting.

Now after the fight I realized how serious Usyk was when he said that Joshua could simply kill Paul and that it is a dangerous fight. The difference in strength is colossal. It's very strange to see Joshua dominating after I saw Usyk dominate him and make him look not like a boxer but like a bodybuilder. Overall, I think everyone got what they wanted: the contestants got a lot of money for little work, and the audience finally got to see Paul's jaw get broken, which is what many were waiting for.

I think the reason is pretty obvious. Usyk is a natural heavyweight and a proven champion, while Jake Paul is basically a YouTuber who turned pro and thought he could take a shortcut by jumping straight into fighting a real heavyweight. He probably believed he could make history, but he clearly expected too much.

With the injury he suffered, he’ll likely be sidelined for a while to recover. And after this, I doubt he’ll try to fight another true heavyweight anytime soon.

That fight is so boring, Anthony Joshua would really dominate that match right from the start, I mean if you look at how Jake Paul fights and see his past fights, the fights are not that exciting and are just for exhibition so skills were not involved and it was all designed to gather audience and make money but this one is a new realm for Jake Paul, now he will fight the real fighters that are not just in it for the money but also the glory as a fighter but enough about that, I really find it weird that Jake Paul's way of clinching is so stupid, it goes to show that he does not have the constitution to be a professional boxer, I mean have you seen all those slips because he was trying to clinch Anthony Joshua? His legs were shaking probably that he cannot keep it up. Maybe this is a wake up call for him to take boxing seriously.

I think the US has confirmed two broken jaw from Paul i wish him quick recovery.
I wonder what the impact will be on Jake Paul’s future. He was way too aggressive, challenging proven boxers and even fighting guys who were obviously much bigger than him. Fighting Mike Tyson was one thing since he’s already old, but AJ is still young and way bigger. That move just didn’t make sense.

He was probably out of his mind chasing easy cash. After what he went through in that fight, I hope he really sits down and asks himself if it was all worth it.
jake might not actually be doing all of these because he just wants to entertain his fans but he is also making money from it as well, he earned millions of dollars from his fight against Anthony Joshua and also against Mike Tyson...it was a reckless decision to fight a heavy weight boxer like Anthony Joshua but he had his benefits in mind..if it wasn't about the money I'm not sure he would have done it

Did Logan really have an intention to steal in front of over 2k cameras facing them? I took it for a little show , nothing more. A grown ass man that throws tantrums at that age should be against the rules the game already. This match may have ended someone with a dislocated jaw, but they've earned so much money they both should retire and switch into the real estates. Each round he survived was about $15 million, DYR and maths.

Now the real question, did anyone on this thread make some money betting on the fight?
I did place a small bet on AJ, but it was more of a symbolic one. I didn't have enough trust to bet any serious amount on him, so I only made a few bucks, so not sure if that counts as "making money".

I think he will be back to challanging mma fighters or smaller pro boxers. I hear Mike Tyson said he wants a rematch, but I don't think he would get one.
Another celebrity, Andrew Tate, was fighting on the same weekend. I thought it could be a good next opponent for Jake, but he underperformed big time and lost to a guy called Chase Demoor, so that option is out of the window.
Whoever Paul's next opponent will be, it will probably be an easy fight, so he can recover after a brutal loss, both mentally and in terms of his reputation.

Probably, with that kind of money on the line.
i dont think that knockout punch was part of the script

Now the real question, did anyone on this thread make some money betting on the fight?
I rarely bet on sports, and when I do bet, most of them are in boxing, but I don't bother betting on matches like this since the chance of it being scripted is extremely high. Even now, when Jake Paul got TKO'd, I still think it is scripted because there is no way AJ, who has a 89% KO rate, would let this match go until the 6th round if it were a real fight.

Anyway, this one is a little off-topic, but I just saw this on reddit and I think it's hilarious, and I thought I'd share it here. If I remember correctly, this was the moment Jake Paul took that massive punch on his jaw, which knocked him down.
