I’m not going to watch this, it’s so obvious it will be a fixed fight. Joshua would knock him out within 2 rounds if this was a genuine fight. It just makes a mockery of the sport, obviously they will both make a lot of money but it doesn’t sit right with me.

However, why not watch this if you have a Netflix subscription and do not have an important schedule heheheh. I am quite certain that very much most of us in the forum have nothing important in pur schedules.

In any case, the fight will presently begin and everyone on ringside being interviewed are predicting that the great white Jake will be knocked out. It appears that they do not know the scripted to the decision theory heheheheheh. I am very much excite!

@yahoo62278. This fight might be embarrassing for the great white Jake and Anthony Joshua, however, I very much respect the great white Jake for this boxing show. This is very much similar to an artist's performance like the late Andy Kaufman.

I was worried about what would happen to Joshua if he lost this fight. Jake Paul is getting better, but with all the punches that he received from Joshua, I just knew that it's going to be a matter of time, it's a systematic beatdown by Joshua, it's not about the specific round, but he gets the job done.
But congratulations also to Jake Paul for surviving the sixth round. Jake Paul should fight professionally now. Let's see who he'll fight. I don't think he will stop doing this.

Looks to me like they signed a contract to finish the fight in the 6th or 7th last. The fight was to last long enough to make Jake Paul not lose face, in fact he was making silly faces throughout the fight. Joshua really did his best not to lose his cool and hit Jake Paul for real.

The “ring rust” excuse for Joshua seems too convenient in my opinion. Jake was running for his life early on to avoid getting hit, but there was still some moments where Joshua could have done more when Paul was cornered or against the ropes. This was similar to Jake’s last fight, where the opponent just seemed to be going along until the final rounds when he started fighting for real. The referee also strangely paused the fight several times, giving Jake some time to catch his breath.

I can’t say for sure that it was scripted because strange things do happen sometimes, like Francis Ngannou almost beating Tyson Fury, but I do feel like AJ might have intentionally carried Paul for a few rounds.

I'm sure it wasn't a plan, Paul is a controversial boxer, he often underestimates his opponents, in fact Paul doesn't deserve to be in the ring anymore, lately Paul continues to hunt down classy boxers, as if Paul is invincible, Joshua is not Paul's opponent, he is one of the boxers who won an Olympic gold medal and he was also crowned as a former heavyweight champion. Here we have to understand that Paul is no match for Joshua.

We can judge from the style of the punch Joshua threw at Paul.


In the second round it started to be seen, in the third round Joshua started throwing close range punches and then in the fifth round Paul was seen shouting several times, falling several times, in the sixth round Joshua landed straight punches, Paul wasn't good and Joshua ended up winning by knockout. Honestly there's nothing interesting if Paul comes back dry he's done for in the world of boxing.

Not staged, but If you look at how AJ handled the fight looks like he's holding his strength back. It's like he's just using not even half of what he can actually do to Jake Paul. If that fight was not staged, it could have ended in earlier rounds.
They both needed to carry the match in later rounds, otherwise this show won't be delivered like their not following a script.

Although before the actual fight there were videos circulating of Jake Paul admitting that he was knockout in one round. So I immediately check if this is AI and it turns out that the fight is not yet happening on my timezone.

But seeing that it was somewhat come true, I was not surprised by the outcome. We all know that AJ is too big for him, but yeah, we congratulate him for showing his guts on national TV but it was not enough and it was a rude awakening for him.

I don't know, maybe they deliberately stretched it out to six rounds, but I think Joshua could easily have won in the first or second round. What stands out is that throughout the entire fight, Joshua looked like he wasn't even tired, while Paul was already exhausted by the fifth round.
Overall, I personally found this fight boring, with only a few interesting moments in the fifth and sixth rounds.

Well, on general it went as expecte and even better. Was obvious that AJ was much better, outclasses Jake and could end it in first round.  AJ did well, allowed Jake to show something, fans get more of this fight and put and end in it when he wanted.

Where are all those who have said it is staged? Not staged but AJ let fight longer than needed. If it would end in first exchange it would be a much more bs and not worth spending money.

AJ nearly made good that threat. To be sincere, there's no way Jake won't go for a brain scan after that fight. Dude took a whole lot of hits and made it obvious he wasn't anywhere a match for AJ. Before the match, I thought it was going to be another of the WWW type of rigged bout. What I saw on the ring was completely a brutal fight. At least, those who paid to watch and were supporters of AJ got their money's worth.

When you compare the two fighters, it is clear that they are not compatible.

It showed in the ring. You can imagine in the 6th Round, AJ had thrown 71 punches as against 21 thrown by Jake; a deficit of 50. Of the 71 thrown, 29 hit target as against 9 from Jake that hit AJ. It was more of a handicapped match.

My observation though – AJ over celebrated that win. He even made a cut throat gesture and that disgusted me. Jake wasn't a match for him, if not that the loudmouthed YouTuber  wanted to trend and chase clout. Otherwise, he shouldn't have agreed to a contest with AJ.

I felt pity for Paul since this is what he really could get if he fight a real champion in real boxing match.

It seems that they just let the fight stretch to give good show to the fans watching, but it seems Paul cannot handle the punishment of Joshua and he decide to end up the fight.

I somehow got entertained and at last we see a real fight here. Not similar on Paul's last match which his past opponent looks like forget about how to fight.

Who ever advised him to go fight Anthony Joshua didn't advise him well. Probably the person or people wanted his ass to be beaten and they got it. Jake Paul thought he has arrived and he's now a big time wrestler that he could stand someone as great and fulfilled as AJ. There are some contracts you will see and pass even if it's a big money. What if he had died from that fight it will be people who never got a punch that will enjoy the money. She wanted to prove a point and we have seen were that got him. Hope he retires from boxing when he recovers from this humiliation.

Lol. Jake tactics of selling content where he is beaten/supposed to be beaten/get hurt is working. Previously people were making fun of Jake, now to guys in this topic confirmed that they would have paid to see Jake being beaten. It does not matter who Jake fights, if he wins or loses, it is important that he has managed to sell +2 Netflix subscriptions

Jake will lose, but later will build another record of consecutive wins, to have a fight against another huge combat sport star, to lose again, but this time to go home with even bigger check. Then the story  would repeat.

People want to see Jake losing or getting knocked out, that's why he sells fights well. His tactics was that he beat some top names and was claiming that he is a great boxer because he beat those names despite the fact that they were retired and far from boxing for that point. Jake's bold statement and his past of being an Youtuber is what made crowd to pay for seeing him losing, even against retired and 60 years old people. In general, it's the mentality of the crowd, they want to see someone fall, the crowd don't like when someone rises.

The fight went exactly as I predicted, AJ tried REALLY hard not to hurt Jake in the first few rounds and pulled the trigger in round 6, when Jake was so gassed out anyway that there was no point in dragging it any further.
AJ didn't even break a sweat, it wasn't even light sparring for him. We all know he could've finished the fight in the first round with a little effort. Maybe it's better though, at least they gave people something to watch and we still had the KO.

I reckon there might be a large group of people betting on AJ winning within first 1 or 2 rounds, they are definitely not happy with AJ right now, but it is what it is: show business first, sport comes second.

I don't know what kind of damage Paul suffered exactly. I've seen some reports of broken jaw and/or broken teeth, but I guess he deserves some credit for stepping up to a much bigger and better guy and for taking it on the chin.
