^ That look on Jake’s face is hard to see. Pretty much everyone agrees he will never box again after having permanent plates put in his jaw. He took it as far as he could. I’m sure the money helps ease the pain.

If money would really help him feel better, he already has plenty of it from his previous fights. Hopefully he just goes back to exhibition fights where everything is more controlled and he knows what he’s getting into. Or maybe he should focus on being a YouTuber again and help promote his brother for a big fight.

And hopefully his brother’s jaw doesn’t get broken before he even thinks about retiring, because after this, I can honestly see Jake calling it a career.

Perma plates gonna make his jaw stronger Cheesy Anyway, he will return. Why would someone drop such a well paid activity after first serious fail? There is a queue of old and retired guys who wish to punish Jake for ruining their saint boxing with his presence. Because it is boxing and big money, there are hundred of top guys who are ready to be knocked out by Jake and return home with huge paycheck.

I believe that fights like this should be banned. If an ordinary amateur blogger wants to fight a heavyweight, the consequences can be very severe. Jack ended up in the hospital after the fight and had to undergo surgery. His jaw was fractured in two places, with two titanium plates installed on each side. Some teeth had to be removed. No matter how ambitious he was, I do not think it was worth ending the fight with a broken jaw.
After his fight with Mike Tyson, Jake Paul overconfidently believed in himself. He thought he could compete with professional boxers. I previously wrote about how this blogger still doesn't understand where he's ended up. Or maybe it's the other way around. He was paid a good amount of money to fight Joshua. He lasted more than one round, which already makes him something of a celebrity. Is it worth it? Probably, with that kind of money on the line.
I do believe that Jake Paul just wanted to take a try because of the potential advantages (fame, Name, money etc.)
One thing I know for sure is that he was not planning to win that fight because he knows he couldn't, it was so clear enough,
but there is no big deal I trying, he also is a good fighter, and like you said him beating Mike Tyson was like a source of confidence, but Mike Tyson is now aged that is the difference, now he has faced a young and strong boxer, and he left the ring with Injuries. It was a good fight anyway.
I learnt to challenge people and things bigger than you even if you loose you loose a champion.

Doctors are saying now that Jake Paul will never box again. He will lose a lot of his teeth and need metal plates in his jaw. It will be 9 months before he has 90% of his jaw strength back. Good thing he got 90 million, because I think his Boxing Days are officially over.

I'd let Joshua knock out my teeth for half of that money Cheesy

That said, Paul's boxing was pretty weak. He was constantly going down even without being hit, you could see he was grasping for breath and had difficulty keeping balance. He was trying to take a knee from time to time to catch breath. He was clearly outmatched. Should have ended this much sooner and take less damage.
After seeing that teeth, it was clear he couldn't box anymore. He actually had the money, but was it worth taking that risk? Apparently it was, despite his wealth. Now his jaw will never be the same again, even after nine months of healing, I don't think it will ever be the same. I would never want to take that punch, even if there was money involved. It's a life shortening punch, thousands of neurons died from it.

You're on point.

I'd add that Jake Paul deserved this last punch. He knew there was no way for him to win like 2 rounds before the KO because he was already grabbing Joshua's legs at least twice per round and was still teasing, showing his tongue and laughing that he's still standing. Joshua on the other hand knew he was better. First 2 rounds he was careful, but then you could see him start to smile as he knew it was over. After hundreds of fights you get to know how skilled the opponents are during the fight. How strong they hit and how they take your hits. I'm 100% sure they both knew the result of the fight after round 4. Round 5 was a slow butchering and it continued in 6.

But this time it was Jake who got knocked out and still walked away with a huge amount of money. Crazy guy. He’s too greedy for the cash and doesn’t really think about his health. Good thing he didn’t end up in a coma after that fight, the punch was really strong and could’ve put someone out cold if they weren’t fully prepared.

I can see that Jake Paul trained well, but his level is still way below AJ. That gap was pretty obvious.

The moment huge money is involved in something that can cost a life or a terrible wound to oneself, some people are willing to risk their whole body for it, as there is a good paycheck and a reputable hospital that will take care of everything that happens to them.

That will be the thought Jake Paul thought had on, before he totally agreed to fight with Anthony Joshua. He must have thought by himself or people around him advising him that fighting Anthony Joshua is risky, for someone like him who hasn't fought a professional boxer before, to know how it is like

I disagree. This fight has made the great white Jake more viral. There are people who say that he was very much afraid in the ring. They are correct because who would not be afraid to face a former heavyweight champion who is still very much strong and who still has a strong power pants.

I reckon that after this, Jake Paul will be more braver in challenging other boxers and I very much wish that the next fight will be against the scammer Tank hehehe.

Once everything settles and assuming Jake Paul can still step into the ring, it might be better for him to try fighting a smaller opponent. I don’t think he’d be scared of Tank anymore after experiencing the most devastating KO loss of his boxing life and still surviving it. He’s alive, recovering, and looks fine. You can’t really see it on his face that he’s ready to quit boxing. If anything, he even looks happy with the outcome despite the loss. So yeah, let’s stay a bit optimistic about it.

Who knows, with that kind of beating and the injury he suffered on his jaw, I'd be curious if he will be able to get out of the funk he might get, just like a lot of real boxers get when they get beaten badly in a match, and their confidence in the ring is destroyed. Also, I don't think Jake has any chance of winning against Tank Davis in a real match.

I seriously doubt Paul achieved fame this way. On the contrary, he was ridiculed on social media. His reputation suffered enormously because of this stunt. There was only one motivation here – money. Yes, there were those who even believed in his victory. It's funny, though. I immediately wrote that it was impossible. Not at that level. All he can do is beat up old people. That's all he can do.

With 90+ millions Jake has earned for this fight, he can get himself brand new jaw. I think everyone here would accept a not a full power punch from AJ if they were paid 90+ millions Cheesy It is true but a bit different as you have said. Not after a badly beating, but after a cold knockout fighters are no longer fighters they used to be. And it is not due confidence, but brain turns on safety mechanics and next time do everything to avoid state of knocked out cold. Fighters are still confident that they could win, but prefer to risk less next time.

I think otherwise, I believe Jake Paul had proven himself (talking about courage) despite the loss.  Only haters will think that way, but a neutral audience may develop sympathy for Jake Paul or even admire his courage (even if it looks stupid) to fight a champion-caliber fighter in his prime.  It really takes courage to fight a bigger, stronger fighter, even though we all think it is all about money.

I believe the sentiment of boxing fans is divided and btw, I also think Jake Paul will once again step on the ring, but I think it will take sometimes.., possibly until the trauma he had after fighting against AJ subsides.   Grin Grin

He might be ridiculed on social media but he is building or carving a niche for himself. He was formerly known as a kickboxer and YouTuber. Now is a boxer that has fought with a former world champion. His reputation didn't suffer any damage because as a YouTuber he is creating more engaging content from the fight. Do you know how many views he is getting from the hospital and he would still develop more content from his recovery process. People do very stupid things these days to get popular, he's stunts are more reasonable.

We all like to talk about all the crazy money fighters make on high-profile bouts, but there's an ugly side to it: taxes.
Anthony Joshua is said to have earned £70 million for fighting Jake, but apparently, he will lose almost half of it in taxes. He will have to pay taxes in the US as well as pay the rate difference between what he paid in the US and the UK high earner rate.
A more detailed explanation is laid out in this article:
https://www.sportbible.com/boxing/boxing-news/anthony-joshua-purse-losses-jake-paul-fight-324319-20251220

No wonder Tyson Fury decided to abandon the UK to avoid excessive tax raids announced by the UK government recently.

I believe the sentiment of boxing fans is divided and btw, I also think Jake Paul will once again step on the ring, but I think it will take sometimes.., possibly until the trauma he had after fighting against AJ subsides.   Grin Grin

Once his wound heals, the real question is: who will Jake Paul fight next? Facing a washed‑out MMA fighter seems unlikely, especially after he raised the bar with his last opponent. The audience now expects him to step into the ring against a legitimate boxer if he chooses to continue. Honestly, I admire Jake Paul’s courage for taking this fight, even at the risk of his own safety. But I believe this might be the last time we see such a scenario—boxing commissions are likely to step in if similar matchups are proposed in the future.

Yeah somehow stepping up on the floor fighting Joshua is admirable act, but well favor always not on his side and for taking this into real fight he get those things what he didn't expect to happen.

But you want to know what's next for Paul? He's already giving a hint on his post.

So I guess people will guess on which part of his body will get broken once he fight another champion.  Cheesy

Isn't it his original opponent is Tank Davis? So maybe that's a good start for him for a comeback, that is if Tank is all good to go as we all know that he had some personal issues that's why this fight didn't happened.

And we can go back to his video when he is trying to promote this fight, and maybe one of this could be his next opponent.

I think fights like this should be banned for real because how can a regular guy like a YouTube or a blogger steps up to fight a ture heavyweight champion, the danger is way too high and Jake Paul ended up in the hospital after his fight with Antony Joshua. After Jake Paul was able to beat Mike Tyson last year he got too confident and thought he could take on real boxers but this lost shows the great difference between skills and hype. Though you can say he lasted for few rounds and probably got paid some millions which made him even more famous.

Now after the fight I realized how serious Usyk was when he said that Joshua could simply kill Paul and that it is a dangerous fight. The difference in strength is colossal. It's very strange to see Joshua dominating after I saw Usyk dominate him and make him look not like a boxer but like a bodybuilder. Overall, I think everyone got what they wanted: the contestants got a lot of money for little work, and the audience finally got to see Paul's jaw get broken, which is what many were waiting for.

I think the reason is pretty obvious. Usyk is a natural heavyweight and a proven champion, while Jake Paul is basically a YouTuber who turned pro and thought he could take a shortcut by jumping straight into fighting a real heavyweight. He probably believed he could make history, but he clearly expected too much.

With the injury he suffered, he’ll likely be sidelined for a while to recover. And after this, I doubt he’ll try to fight another true heavyweight anytime soon.

Usyk is not a heavyweight at all, he just came and destroyed everyone because he had no opponents left in the weight class below. It's clear that Joshua is a pro and Paul is a YouTuber. I'm amazed that Usyk portrayed Joshua as an amateur. That's how high-performance sport works—small advantages snowball into completely insurmountable gaps.
Paul will be fusing his jaw, they say, for about 6 weeks, but even after this period I’m not sure that he will be able to have any serious fight. I guess he need to give the bone some time to heal properly.
