Does anyone else feel unlucky every time they lose?

I don’t know if I’m overthinking, but every time I place a bet, say 5 games, and 2 lose, my first thought is always: “I’m just unlucky.”

I catch myself thinking, if I hadn’t played those games, it would’ve gone the other way.

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me with this weird mindset?

Honestly, no one is ever happy for making loss unless the money you loss was not actually gotten by sweat ( working your ass out) and sometimes even if you didn't work your ass out to get the money you will still feel it somehow and yet some people will say they gamble for fun. The feeling you are having is normal but it should not get into your head because you knew before betting that winning is not guarantee and loss is inevitable and so it is normal to feel that way after incurring loss but always use what you can afford to lose so that you won't feel it much.

Basically, when you win, you are lucky & when you lose, you are unlucky. Bros @Dechris_08, you brought up a thread with a ridiculous title, I don't think anyone feels lucky when they lose. That also applies to the winners, is there anyone who feels unlucky when they win?

I see gambling as a game of luck and each time my bet is not favourable to me, I feel very unlucky too. But as a gambler, the situation is not always thesame. While you may feel unlucky today, you might be lucky to have a win too. Even as we experience losses sometimes, do not gamble without proper research on your selected games, it is true that any bet can fail but with proper research and analysis, there is a bit confidence in your bets and will enable you to have winnings periodically. Actually, your mindset that bad luck isn't on your side or "unlucky" is a good one, but your thinking about the different outcomes if you don't place a bet is illogical. Honestly, I have had that strange mindset myself, but that doesn't mean I took it seriously; I just dismissed it, thinking it was strange and illogical. Simply put, in some bets we make, there is a chance we will guess right, and some wrong. So, shouldn't a correct guess be considered a predictable outcome? I think that is where the logic lies, meaning the bets we make have a chance of being right or wrong. Gambling is essentially about right and wrong, or winning and losing. It is impossible for 100 bets to change the outcome (not as predicted), right?

It surprises me to see most gamblers  complaining about being unlucky when we already knew that gambling is a game of luck, why not play for fun and be ready to accept whatever outcome you get instead of complaining about being unlucky, the reason why you're just being worried is because you always wish to win whenever time you gamble that is why it is as if you're just being unlucky but trust me if you're gambling with no expectations like wining, I can assure you that you won't feel that way.

If we already have it in mind that winning is all about luck, then those who are judging how lucky they are and being of bad luck or good have not made a mistake since it's based on luck; their luck decides if they win or not, and if they don't win, it simply means they are unlucky. If a person loses by gambling and becomes restless and feels unlucky, then that person did not gamble for fun, he gambled mainly for the purpose of making money. We know that gambling is mainly for entertainment, gambling for the purpose of making money is not a right decision at all. When we gamble with money we can afford to lose, we don't get overly excited, which allows us to keep our composure no matter what the outcome of the gamble. We don't feel unlucky, which gives us self-control, reduces the risk of losing money, and allows us to enjoy the fun of gambling.

That is just it, you hardly see a fun gambler complaining about losing because before they could stake a bet they believe that anything can happen that is why they don't get bothered whenever they loss in gamble and I must say that those who are gambling for fun is always lucky than a guy who is gambling for profit, One thing about gambling is that if you're always praying for luck to get to you it will not, but once you remove your mind from the profit aspect and only focus on having fun then it will surely get to you.

That's true, there is a way losses makes you feel especially when you lose a huge amount of money, at that point you are going to start thinking about things that you would have used the money for and being on regrets. All these feelings wouldn't really cross your mind if you always gamble with an amount of money that you can afford to lose.

We all are humans,, definitely if you lose any of your game, you will feel so unlucky because no one wants to be seen as a failure or loser mainly in gambling,.aside from that you never wish to lose your game just like that, after all the effort you must have put in the game, but nevertheless, it is normal in gambling because the wins are not guaranteed and the casinos make their money from the losses you incure .

Have you ever been on a losing streak before? Do you know how it feels to be on the losing side? You're doing everything within your reach to ensure to hit but the system just gang up against you. The system doesn't care about your strategies or pattern, it's just there to frustrate and disabilized you.

In fact, experience can give some idea in gambling but in the end luck is the big factor. A very good example is sports betting even if the team is strong on paper, everything turns upside down on the field. This is the trap of gambling, In my opinion the biggest mistake is when people think they have it figured out this time, they will definitely win this time, That's when they gamble beyond their capacity to lose. Truth be told it is easy to blame bad luck when things don’t go your way especially when the outcome feels random or basically out of your control and the tricky part is that our brains naturally try to make sense of losses by imagining “what could have been” which is why you catch yourself thinking about those missed wins, so it very important to recognize it as a normal cognitive bias and not a reflection of your skill or luck and learning to separate your emotions from the bets themselves is key to staying rational and avoiding chasing losses, so stay strong and positive i guess

I actually doubt the possibility of that, it just isn't  realistic or easy for folks to feel happy (coz that's how they will feel if they win big ) anytime they encounter any huge loss....But then the idea about folks controlling their emotions is very important, though it may not be an easy thing but they just should try.
