Does anyone else feel unlucky every time they lose?

I don’t know if I’m overthinking, but every time I place a bet, say 5 games, and 2 lose, my first thought is always: “I’m just unlucky.”

I catch myself thinking, if I hadn’t played those games, it would’ve gone the other way.

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me with this weird mindset?

In gambling two things are involve, is either you win or you lose that is either you are lucky or you are unlucky and so it is not normal and true to feel unlucky when you lost your bet and also normal feel to lucky when you won. I believe almost everyone think this way that is " feeling the game would have played opposite if they didn't play that day" but the truth is that we can not do anything about it when it is not our luck it is not and we can force it.

Everyone feels unlucky when he or she looses a game and even myself I feel thesame too. We all gamble to win , but when we gamble and did not win, we don't only feel unlucky but also unhappy. We should bear one thing in mind, you don't win your bet everytime, sometimes you win and sometimes you loose and is important you have this understanding before you delve into gambling so that you don't look at loosing a bet as something strange. Some people have the mindset that gambling is a profitable business, but when they try and it doesn't work the way they think, their heart becomes broken.

It's a very natural thing, regrets are always at the end and if for example the results were what you expected wouldn't you not have such thoughts? Of course, so regretting or thinking about it would be pointless because it's in the past and also because gambling is about uncertainty to begin with.
Gambling is always about winning and losing and from the start it can't be fully predicted, being disappointed with the outcome is fine but the important thing is not to dwell on it too much because it can lead you to impulsive actions such as chasing losses.

Of course all gamblers feel unlucky when they loss, personally I do feel unlucky it's just a normal feeling I'm sure that those fun gamblers also feel the same way whenever they loss in gamble, the only difference is that those fun gamblers can just laugh over it while those profit gamblers can start panicking.

And surely it's good to quit gambling when we feel unlucky because failure to do so can lead to more losses at that point we may no longer feel unlucky but regret.

The feeling dont last long. This moment they are feeling unlucky because they lost the next moment they are feeling happy because they won. It is normal in gambling since gambling has to do with both win and loss. No problem how they feel, there will only be problem if they react wrongly due to the outcome.

Yes, that's when you have enough bankroll to go again. As for those with small bankroll or those gamblers who like going all-in of course the feeling of being unlucky is likely to last for a longer period since they don't have extra bankroll to go with, and you're right sometimes the feeling doesn't last long probably 5 minutes if at all it will get to that because after feeling unlucky some gamblers can still decide to go again since they have some money Left in thier bankroll and if they win  from thier second attempt, then that feeling of being unlucky will no longer be there but if they are unlucky for the second time definitely the feeling of being unlucky will be x2 so since there's no guarantee of wining in our second attempt it's better we stop after one unsuccessful attempt for safety reasons.

When someone is expecting so much from gambling and the outcome of the game turns to be lose, the person will definitely feel unlucky in gambling. In gambling it is important to have understanding and develop the mindset well. Having a good mindset you dont need to expect win in gambling and when it is coming as loses you dont have to feel unlucky. All this is as a result of not having understanding in gambling but just want to win by all means.

There is no gambler that will be happen for themselves losing money to the casino they are using to bet and that is the real fact.
When you start losing at first, you may think that it is temporary and your next bet is going to change your entire story but if you become unfortunate again to lose bets multiple times, you might see yourself unlucky when gambling and this can be very sad.

Good post. I agree, that's how we feel when we lose. We shouldn't. We know all well that any time we can turn from being unlucky to being lucky, but we feel like that anyway. Actually it's a good thing to quit gambling for the day feeling unlucky. I just lost $11 in poker because I didn't have that feeling.

Quiting gambling will not really solve the problem but we can still be attracted to gamble again after taking a break.
For the aspect of not being lucky when gambling, gamblers need to understand that there is no way they can be profitable when gambling everytime because casinos also have to make money from us depending on the kind of game we are playing.

I see nothing wrong with that. You took your break and then you want to gamble again, that's natural. Gamble at your pleasure, only don't stake more than you can afford to lose, and if you did stake more and lost it, do not play for the period of time during which you could afford to lose that amount.

And that's the main reason why someone shouldn't expect so much from gambling, because it very hard for someone to produce something tangible through gambling. Expecting something to be reality and turned out to be a delusion is very very painful. And as a gambler since you know the nature of gambling and its unpredictable form, then you shouldn't put so much hope on gambling. Because this is also part of the ways of promoting our mental health. Is not about what you earn, our health is more expensive than anything in this world, and it is something that we should cherish a lot.

If it's not our luck then you should let it go, there's nothing you can do if luck did not back you up, but you should always have that kind of mindset where you should not chase for your losses, accepting the outcome and trying to reassess what made wrong with the analysis that you use, using that outcome as your basis when trying to reprocess your picks and hope that after deeply analysing luck will also back you up and let you win,.
