I made a request to pin a thread in Meta, and got advice from the others to lock it, then make a report to forum moderators for pinning that thread. I did exactly what I was told to do and yesterday by chance I visited the Electrum child board and saw that it was pinned there.

Honestly I am unsure when it was pinned but it's good to have it as a sticky thread now.

There is a thread [Bitcointalk sticky threads] Newbies - read before starting. It was updated a last time in September 2021 and many things changed in last 5 years like a thread I reported to be pinned. It's my credit to the original author, I use the table format and content, make some updates from it.

It's reason for me to make this thread as an update and I will keep updating this thread as best as I can do.

When I am checking and updating the thread, I find that some pinned threads were unpinned while some threads were pinned recent years. I note some threads that in my opinion should be pinned and unpinned, if you agree with my idea, you can report these threads for either pinning or unpinning. Use your report button.

The Cryptovator created a thread for asking pinning his thread, and I gave a hand by reporting that thread and my request to pin it too. Perhaps other users send their reports and requests to forum moderators too so theymos eventually pinned it.

The thread has been stickied by theymos. Thanks everyone for supporting me. I hope that thread will help victims and other users as well to avoid potential scams. I will try to keep the thread updated once I find something new to prevent potential scams.

This thread will be locked to avoid unnecessary discussion. You could contribute to the pinned post if you like. Keep updated there if you notice something that could be added to the post and help victims as well.

Threads can be pinned and unpinned as I found that several threads were unpinned. I believe that the following thread should be unpinned too, I made my report and request to unpin it.

What do you think of a thread about a workshop in 2015 is still pinned in 2026?

This is so interesting, you made a good job in bringing all these threads together, many never pay attention to how they are being sticked and having them all together in one place as you have done could make the whole idea of sticky threads more easier, from this your thread, one can be able to navigate through other sections of the forum with their sticky threads that are of important consideration for us as the needs may be, you have done well so much and giving your time the quality it deserves upon this contribution you made to the forum.
