You cannot control the game outcome no matter how desperate you are because a lot of factors are involved. It's true as you have said that gambling losses can't be avoided as far as we're gambling but we can avoid making huge losses by using small funds to gamble, a fund size that is affordable to lose for us and, when we buy chance win a bet with that small funds size we shouldn't feel a regret that we didn't use huge funds in making the bet to have gotten huge returns in profit for the win. It's a psychological fallacy that we should guide our mind against thinking that increasing the next bet after a previous small win from a small bet would bring about another win.
