Stay tuned....
Expect new Virtual Coin version shortly...
Awesome that is great news to hear Will the new version mean that all our coins will still be good though? Is it going to be like one of those coin conversion things or just new updates for the original coin?

Has anyone downloaded this yet because this post was changed because if you look right under it was the original post from v.coinz and it didn't say any of this and if anyone remembers we just recently had that OPAL coin fiasco where the OPALTEAMs post was changed with a malicious link saying it was an updated wallet and it apparently stole a bunch of people's OPALcoins so I have to ask has anyone tried this download out yet or not? I wouldn't want to get a virus or anything like that

got a question, when upgrading your wallet is it best to empty it first before upgrading so as to avoid the possibility of losing coins?
I know they tell you to make a wallet.bin copy first before you delete your wallet but I'm wondering if that link that is posted is malicious or not and seeing if anyone of the community has downloaded it yet?? Plus it really seems like a lot of steps for downloading a new wallet in my opinion with all this "hype" about security and shit, just seems a little weird to me especially considering that like I said if you check the time that link is posted then my post right after that his original post was something entirely different, so why would he change it to that? Why wouldn't he just put a new post? Just seems weird to me that's all

Yes but still no one has answered if they downloaded the wallet from the link or not and also no one has answered why he would change the post instead of just making a new post? Seems odd don't you think?

Well that answers my question right there that the link is probably a virus or something Thanks for clarifying that for me because I was pretty certain that there was no way he would've changed his original post to post that link with all those steps to starting the new wallet like that just seemed ridiculous if you ask me. But no matter have a great day

That link is fine.
If you getting any false positive, let me know what Antivirus? This is how all past release has been issued. You can wait for DOWNLOAD.COM site to update it (takes 7-10 days)
Also, if you would like to compile it yourself, I will update the source code on github.
Please do not download from any link if it is not posted by me.

I was just curious why you posted the new wallet where your old post was and if anyone had downloaded the wallet successfully yet or not? But for some reason no one could give me a straight answer so that's why I kept asking

But for some reason no one could give me a straight answer so that's why I kept asking well it is possible as most old users have upgraded, I see most of them using new version in peer connection. Always back a backup copy of the wallet.dat file & encrypt it with your strong password. Another way you can do is, rename the virtualcoin folder in roaming. Run & download fresh copy of 12.0.1, once sync shutdown & replace with your original wallet.dat file.

No make sure you use password for your wallet & save a copy of it somewhere else. "FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO UPGRADE (FOR ALL USERS):" was needed as Windows create firewall rules that change the default 2095 port. I myself did not had issue with old version except when I try to re-index blockchain, client use to crash. I tested using new 12.0.1 & that is no longer crashing so it is more stable.
I follow these steps & never had any issues, running on Windows 7 64bit. In case you have any issues, most of us can help you out, but I can tell you their is not been any blockchain or forking issues other coins are facing since April 2014.

Still mining, difficulty is still low, so just PC with R9 card is all that is needed. No need to dedicate mining rig, just install Windows wallet of a spare PC running 24x7.
I am running mine on Gaming PC running AMD R9 290X.
