It is a detail steps for newbies or anyway having issues. Otherwise just replace it, but it is always good idea to backup wallet.dat file & also encrypt your wallet with strong password.

I think he was asking the dev to make the donation to get the coin listed lol But I do agree if this coin is going to go anywhere in the future it needs to get listed on a high volume exchange and needs to have something more than wallet updates happening for more people to gain interest and join the virtual coin community
