No issues here either, since I upgraded to 9.1.6 version last week.
zakorus/reflector what are you using?

Is the source on github the latest? It won't sync for me.
restart using... ./virtualcoind -reindex -server
wait 5 mins, then find out the last block you are at then type ./virtualcoind getblockhash 12345
12345 is block #. Post your result here.

Nice to see an increase in the difficulty over the last day or so.
However, we certainly need to find ways to promote VirtualCoin to more of the community.
Any suggestions? Should we pool some VC for a bounty to get a better website?

can't agree more Dev, since this coin is 0 Premine, we all need to support it as a group. Please setup donation VC address for bounty & a Bitcoin address for development like android, MAC & ATM support. What you guys think, I know Android & ATM developers require payment in BTC, it will help all of our investments. Good to see Virtual Coin now listed on Download.com, the last time I check only 3-4 coins ever was listed by them, so expect a major thrust from general public joining VC in coming days.

no need to add nodes, it is now managed by DNS seeds. Type in following on your Windows PC. nslookup dnsseed.vcoin.ca
Server: XXXXXXXXXXXXX Address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Non-authoritative answer: Name: dnsseed.vcoin.ca Addresses: 128.73.135.41 75.135.131.236 108.0.22.51 50.98.74.86 178.249.125.94 101.165.57.194 70.29.200.171 121.12.168.68
if you do not get this, then you have DNS issues on your PC. 2nd, make sure firewall is not blocking ports. search for "Windows firewall with advance..." in Windows 7/Vista type this in Start -> start searchclose VirtualCoin, then delete all rules in In & Out listed for VirtualCoin. Run again VirtualCoin & check both boxes for firewall warning.

I don't know how Your dnsseed works, but it's trying to connect to different IP adresses. I have direct access to internet (no router) an I use Windows 7 64bit EDIT: Added those IP addresses from CMD to conf file manually and it synced in couple minutes. I think it would be good to add those addresses as nodes in OP as it took a lot more effort to get this running as it should... 22:52:09 getmininginfo
22:52:09  { "blocks" : 9577, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 5.48964533, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : 2, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 76277439, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Also you can try this, delete peers.dat file & it gets fresh valid nodes. The reason you do not want to add seeds manually to prevent forking. Only valid & working nodes are updated in DNSSEEDS. Leaving these in conf file is a bad idea if any seed moves to wrong blockchain and most IPs are dynamic they keep changing. Unless you keep up with updating it, DNS Seed does it for your automatically.

you cannot mine until your wallet is sync. Try this start virtualcoin then Help-> Debug Window-> Console addnode 178.249.125.94 add
Wait 2-10 mins. Once sync, use your miner to solo mine.

Can the community put together a bounty for a website?
I really think this coin has potential but it needs some infrastructure.
I'd be willing to donate some VC towards that.
