I believe this is quite useful  and everyone should do it.

How did you report? Is it necessary to download the wallet?

Here's the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf6dEq2jEsmteHeqnS6S_Pq3kbGr30se1hXg-gZqFKPHLZi1A/viewform

I have also filled out the form and reported my feedback that dex.fo is not a risky website. I do not know what it would yield or if it will yield anything, but what do i stand to lose. Grin

DEX.fo_off Thanks for hearing me, I understand your side. Just gave my opinion.

OKX is a competitor of Dex.fo.

This is very unethical from OKX side.

I remember a long time ago when eXch (a former kyc-free exchange) had problems with Bybit, which was blocking  coins from eXch.

I believe some of those high regulated CEX will always try to  hurt kyc-free CEX, like Dex.fo
Do you think they do it because DEX.fo is a competitor of OKX? Hmm, that's a strange angle, because I don't think they should worry about DEX.fo. They have been in the business for years and still feel insecure by a platform that has just come into the market? Do they even know about DEX.fo?

One should separate the investment in two parts to have better profits in long term and short term. If someone is into Bitcoin investing and does DCA on weekly or monthly basis then it's better to split that investment in two parts one for long term holding and other one to sell take profit in short term.
Hmm this can be beneficial but I am good with my one long term mindset instead of having two. Dopamine is important we can get that any other way but yep profit keeps the spirits up and we tend to make more losses because after that we make stupid decisions and face losses.

The burden will still be on the shoulders of the holders, this can't reduce it.

I prefer going all long too. Having both long and short term investment will be a burden to the investor. Instead, the investor should build an emergency fund where they can fall back to if there are any unforeseen circumstances.

So apparently, it is just a false warning that's probably triggered because this service has 'DEX' in its name, it is just a false positive. However, you can report that the site is safe and it is not a phishing site, though i doubt any action would be taken.
I remember someone reported a similar situation in the past and I suspected that it was because of the word "DEX". We advised him to submit a report which he did.

Edit: Form submitted.

Genuinely appreciate all four of you taking the time on this — not something anyone had to do, and it makes a real difference on something we can't fix unilaterally from our side.

I tend to agree with bitmover here. Maybe DEX.fo is not too dangerous as a competitor to OKX, but besides DEX, there are other exchanges. I'm sure there are more on the list that are false-positive blacklisted. From their perspective, why not make it harder for competitors to access, at least for their own users? I assume that mostly only OKX users have their browser add-on installed.
There are a lot of people who treat CEX as a wallet. I'm sure many of them don't even know how instant exchangers work and that everything is possible without a KYC procedure. It's better for OKX if many remain in the dark.

Can't speak to their motives either way, but the practical point stands regardless — we'll keep pushing for the whitelist through the proper channel on our end, and appreciate everyone helping surface it from theirs.

I've been doing a little research on this issue these days. For example, Phantom wallet blocks many valid sites and more. When they block so lightly, it seems as if they have no checks or control, which only devalues the whole thing
So for example, I exclude MetaMask and Phantom because they give me false-positive blocked sites, they simply became unreliable.

Yep his point is not wrong at all, I just asked because there is good and bad angle to see, not from our side but from them liek in this case it is okx, if they really doing it on purpose then that's really not good. They should ba ashamed and even after clarifying this to them, they still don't do anything about it, that means they are doing it on purpose.

Anyway, those who want to use it can create another browser and use it there or can disable the exntesion while using the dex fo but it shows positive confidence that the team is working to face the issue.

Good research digging up the Phantom pattern too — useful to know it's not isolated to one wallet. And appreciate the confidence, Hamza — that's exactly the goal, keep working it from our end while the workarounds hold people over in the meantime.

stompix — genuinely curious if having an active account/card with them adds any weight, keep us posted if you hear anything back.

I can't seem to find successful whitelist attempt on OKX extension on Google. Might be because I don't use the right keyword, but I guess a large numbers of reports will at least push an issue further. If anything there's a dedicated service for dapp owner to fix it, not sure how legit that is though. On another note, news about OKX blocking accounts due to false positive also shows up more. I guess only time will tell whether they'll fix it or not.

Fair, and worth being upfront about — no guarantee the reports change anything on their end. Worst case, it stays a documented pattern here that anyone hitting the warning can find and understand, which has its own value even without OKX acting on it.

Well, your approach is also good and majority of the investors follow that approach but I know there might be some investors who might follow the approach that I shared. Because as part of crypto market we should take any possible profit that we can, however such approach isn't possible for those who don't monitor the market on daily basis.

Fair, and worth being upfront about — no guarantee the reports change anything on their end.

Even if there is no guarantee, and even if  there is less than 0.1% chance of it happening, I don't think that anyone involved in or promoting dex.fo should even think twice before completing that form and submitting it, it takes only a minute or a maximum of two if you want to write a novel in it, and that's it. You can't say you're promoting a brand without giving it an extra few minutes of your online time.

I can't seem to find successful whitelist attempt on OKX extension on Google.

People are 1000 times more likely to complain about something than to post about something being solved.
We have the same issue here in the reputation and scam board, where hundreds of topics are left open with the old title even though the issue has been solved.

People are 1000 times more likely to complain about something than to post about something being solved.

Fair point, and well put — the ones actually taking the minute to file the report are doing more for this than any post from us could. Appreciated.

I downloaded the OKX wallet extension just to test and see if it does trigger the phishing message but it hasn't. Does this mean Dex.fo has been whitelisted or it's just my browser?
Someone please confirm if they still see that phishing message.
I could also help report the false positive if the message is still there for other users

It's not just your browser, I also don't see it anymore so reporting it as a non-threatening site might have worked (surprisingly).

Can confirm the warning is no longer there, and I checked a well-known mixer, for them the warning still gets triggered, so dex.fo has been cleared indeed.
Reporting works then, probably, unless there was something else.

Anyhow, it's the result that matters and that's a positive right now!
