Yes, it's the first such type of exchange that doesn't advertise itself as instant exchange, although we know that no KYC exchanges can't be instant because of many reasons but the name instant exchange is used everywhere that's why most of such type of exchanges advertise their services as instant exchange.

There's no law that mandate NON KYC exchange to be instant or not but just their decision to choose how they want to run their exchange. An exchange can be launched and decide not to follow the regulations of the government (accept KYC) yet they can be instant. But when the exchange is either CEX or DEX that's when their mode of operation has already been predetermined. Our concern here shouldn't be if the transaction are done instantly or not but if we're getting a true decentralized operation and not lies. DEX.fo waiting time isn't bad to cause any panic or discomfort but they aren't instant so no need advertising as such. If an exchange says they are instant then the transactions should be completed in seconds just like CEX does but what DEX.fo offers is currently fine by me.

However, we are glad to see that Dex.Fo doesn't advertise such things, but we all know that they're providing best services to users and that matters more than calling their services instant.

When you want to post in open forum where we have experts, you at least make sure you are stating the fact, or instead ask it as a question if you are not sure.

I am saying this because i once encountered you in b1exch thread where you said b1exch is a decentralized exchange because it is a No KYC exchange.

Here you are boldly making another blunder that No KYC exchanges cannot be instant, and yet you could not clearly explain yourself.

Please note that instant exchange does not mean instant transaction. It simply means that exchanges/swaps are done without following the traditional order book pattern(you don't need to be matched with someone willing to sell at a price before you can buy).

You actually did a good thing by explaining things clearly, the part where you explained the different between an instant exchange and an instant transaction is very important because most people can just get confused easily.  This is why, if you don't really understand or sure about a particular thing, it's advisable to make a little research or if possible ask questions instead of saying it as if you're very sure.

Also, this is the reason why it's better to understand how a platform actually operates before making assumptions base on labels like NO KYC or instant exchange.

If an exchange says they are instant then the transactions should be completed in seconds just like CEX does but what DEX.fo offers is currently fine by me.
Yes, there's no such need either, a no KYC exchanges simply means an exchange that doesn't require KYC verification and that's what matters most for the privacy enthusiasts. There're many such exchanges where users can swap one coin to other and during such operation they are not required to complete their KYC details, DEX.fo is also one of such exchanges. The exchanges that offer no KYC are mostly preferred by privacy enthusiasts and such exchanges can be used by anyone living anywhere in the world without any restrictions.

Not only on DEX.fo but on any no KYC exchange it takes some time for transactions to get completed and such exchanges aren't meant to offer instant transactions. Those who've used such platforms know that when a user sends coins to the exchange's address and network confirmations are completed then the exchange will automatically execute the transaction. But, there can be some delays whatsoever; the user receives the swapped coins after network confirmations are completed.

That's why using term auto exchange suits better than using term instant exchange. However, both are okay because the exchange executes the transactions once the coins are received to their addresses that's why they call it instant. So in simple words all instant exchanges execute transactions as soon as they receive funds in the wallets and network confirmations are completed.

There are multiple reasons and the top reason is that on instant exchanges a user has to send funds for swapping and there could be some delay because of network state. Once the funds reach the exchange's receiving wallet there could be further delays before the user receives the funds.

After that short delay, there's delay that's because of the network state of the other swapped coin, and that's why the instant exchanges can't be fully instant, but yes most no KYC exchanges use the name instant exchanges and when we hear the word instant exchange we get the idea that the exchange is a no KYC exchange.

Other exchanges that claim to be instant exchanges work similar to DEX.fo, some of those exchanges have their liquidity reserves so they can transfer funds faster but not instantly, however on the other end there're exchanges that use liquidity from third parties, both type serve the purpose but still the transactions aren't instant.

I've used multiple such exchanges and at some exchanges it took me 20 minutes and at some more than 30 minutes. So it makes sense to call such exchanges as auto exchanges where everything works automatically. A user just has to send coins to the receiving wallet provided by the exchange when transaction is started, and the user adds his/her wallet as receiving wallet to receive the swapped coins but nothing happens instantly, it takes sometime for the such transactions to get completed.
Hmm, well I did not find the answer still, but anyway, I can understand. I respect you bro, but transparency is the key Wink

Instant exchanges can take some time. You said no-KYC exchanges can't be instant, I said they can, but your explanation still explained they can't because of network congestion. Well, if we are talking about BTC to XMR, then that's true, it can be time taking. But if we are talking about BSC to Matic or USDT on BSC, then it will occur within minutes, bro. Agree or not, that's the reality.

I am not talking about Dex.fo, but they don't have the same number of pairs as a lot of exchanges have. But every platform has their own pros and cons and user base. If it says no privacy, then it stands out from all of them.

There's a recurring maintenance window roughly between 20:00–07:00 UTC where Fast gets taken offline for tuning — that's most likely what you're both hitting. Outside that window it should be available; if you're still seeing it down well outside those hours, that's worth flagging separately since it'd point to something else.
Oh, is that so? This is my first time hearing about it. I guess I'll check it again later, considering the timezone differences.

Why not give a notice on the website if you still have to do that for the next few weeks or so? Unless I somehow missed it. If I haven't asked here I don't think I'll know about it. I believe some members on this forum that I know of also don't know about this maintenance window.

Regarding the UI lag, I can say that what I noticed most is the BTC reserve fixed at the 5.53. As for others I usually see the changes whenever I check it once in a few days or so.

It's already been a few weeks and I had yet to test out the exchange. Just when I said I'd check it, I always forgot, and me generally not making many cryptocurrency transactions, also assisted in the delay. The exchange itself is extremely straightforward and the exchange itself took about an hour to be honoured.
It is good to hear that your transaction has been completed nicely. The exchange has improved a lot compared to before and gradually the service of customer service has improved a lot. Gradually it is becoming popular and creating a place of trust among the customers and at the same time Dex.Fo is fully ready to be used without hesitation and with trust. We hope to know the review about your second exchange as well.

Appreciate the honest rundown — especially the point about not overpromising speed on Chain mode. Setting the right expectation upfront matters more to us than sounding impressive, glad that came through in practice.
You are proving once again that an exchange can be run well without getting involved in scams and providing customer service with transparency and honesty. The good treatment with customers and solving customer problems in a beautiful and smooth way is commendable. You, as a representative, have been working here with great awareness from the beginning, which we can all see and it is because of your tireless work that this project is progressing so well.

Here, privacy matters most and everything relies on trust, that if it is built, then it can't be shaken.
Yes, when trust is created, it cannot be shaken anymore. However, (Dex.Fo) has already created a place of trust among many customers. For now, the places of complaints have decreased, now I only see small complaints about the timing of the exchange but it can be said that the customers have also adjusted to that.

⚠️ Scheduled maintenance

Fast mode will be under maintenance for approximately 6-8 hours today.

Chain mode continues operating as usual — if you're not in a rush, we'd recommend using it in the meantime.

Thanks for your patience, Fast will be back shortly. 🛠️

Fair point on the notice — that's a gap on our end, not yours. Will get a status line added to the site itself so people don't have to dig through the forum to find out about the maintenance window.

On the BTC reserve figure — that's tied to the ongoing maintenance, the display isn't updating correctly during it. Should be sorted out soon once maintenance wraps up.

Appreciate you taking the time to round that up — good to see the trajectory laid out plainly rather than just hearing about it in pieces.

Not only on DEX.fo but on any no KYC exchange it takes some time for transactions to get completed and such exchanges aren't meant to offer instant transactions.

KYC has nothing to do with this, this is about how the exchange operates
- it uses its own reserves so it would instantly send the required coins from its reserves
- it uses a liquidity pool so at that point there are more transactions involved and the exchange stops being "instant" as there is a time between your confirmation and the outgoing payment towards you.

This is basically what the fast mode was for.

Youre missing the difference between the actual execution and the confirmations, there is no instant exchange on this earth that would send you XMR or LTC or anythign else the moment you press send on a Bitcoin payment, I dare you to find one with KYC or no KYC!

Exactly what I explained above. The speed of transaction is not what qualifies an exchange as instant. He is misunderstanding the word "instant" to work like you are swapping USDT to BNB in binance.

xxxPlease note that instant exchange does not mean instant transaction. It simply means that exchanges/swaps are done without following the traditional order book pattern(you don't need to be matched with someone willing to sell at a price before you can buy).

Haha bro, you sound like there used to be a lot of complaints before. As far as I have seen, there were none speaking of time. Those should not be considered complaints but suggestions because there was nothing wrong or no error in the exchange. They have explicitly mentioned the ETA, and the user is already aware of it as well.

Although the only thing I have seen so far that they are still working on is their fast exchange mode. Although they were maintaining it yesterday, it is still not available for use. That's it. The rest is working smoothly, bro.

Yes, when trust is created, it cannot be shaken anymore. However, (Dex.Fo) has already created a place of trust among many customers. For now, the places of complaints have decreased, now I only see small complaints about the timing of the exchange but it can be said that the customers have also adjusted to that.
For the time being, this exchange has been running fine without issues, the lil complaints are just everyday kind of questions and suggestions. I commend the service and their management team. I also commend the experienced forum users who have been around the thread.

Although the only thing I have seen so far that they are still working on is their fast exchange mode. Although they were maintaining it yesterday, it is still not available for use. That's it. The rest is working smoothly, bro.
I do not actually have a need for the fast mode, unless it is an emergency transaction and I have also seen some people in this thread saying they are okay with the chain mode. For a good majority of time, the exchange has functioned only on the chain mode and we are used to that already.

Let's make things clear, no KYC exchanges can be used by anyone and offer swapping of one coin to other without any need of KYC details or creation of accounts. I don't think that anyone who uses a no KYC exchange want to get instant transaction they just want their transaction to get completed on time. There are some exchanges that have their own reserves and  such exchanges can send the coins to the user in short time. As soon as funds arrive to their wallets and network confirmations are completed they execute the transaction.

If an exchange uses a third party liquidity pool then there can be some delays. Even in fast operation they have to automatically check the coins AML score that's why there could be some delays if they receive high number of transactions in short time. Sometimes they might have low reserves and if they receive high volume/high number of transactions then in that case there could be some short delays as well. In some cases when the received coins have high AML score then no KYC exchange will freeze coins of that user and only in that case a no KYC exchange asks for KYC details of a user.

When it comes to traditional centralized exchanges like Binance or others, the users already have custodial wallets filled with some coins at those exchanges and that's why they can buy/sell coins at market rate instantly. All such transactions are completed off-chain so there's no delay in such transactions. However, if a user needs to deposit coins to an exchange then even at those exchanges a user has to wait for the required network confirmations before being able to swap one coin to other.
