Honestly at this point I have no idea when we are actually going to get the verdict. The whole 115 charges situation has been going on for so long that it almost feels like people have forgotten there is supposed to be a final decision at some point.

I understand that a case this big is going to take time and they obviously need to look through a huge amount of information before making a decision. Still, after waiting this long it would be nice to finally get some clarity. Whatever the outcome is, I think most football fans just want to know what happens and move on from the constant speculation.

I found a very interesting infographic, recommend that everyone take a close look at it.
The scale of the cheating (left side, red) is staggering - revenues were inflated manifold. But we’ve already seen all this in other news reports. I suggest you just think about it - could it be that this obvious trend line suddenly broke in 2018 and everything was fair from then on?  Roll Eyes So, in 2017, legitimate income amounted to 97 million, whereas in 2018 it was 227 million, and it just kept growing after that? Can anyone believe something like that? Personally, I can't. And it seems to me that anyone who has looked into the matter would agree, I am convinced that City should be stripped of all their titles and relegated to amateur football - this club hasn't operated honestly for a single year and has caused (and continues to cause) harm to everyone.

I’ve seen it, but there’s something unsettling about the UAE issuing threats to the UK over this scandal.
If all the allegations against Manchester City are proven conclusively and legally to be false, they should accept that without threatening their investment funds in the UK.
In my view, once things have reached this point, it amounts to political interference—and this should not be brought into the equation.

The Premier League administration has accepted the charges. I believe that the longer this situation drags on, the more the Manchester City players' concentration will be disrupted.
This matter should have been clarified during the international break.
Whatever happens, happens. From what I’ve seen in the news, there is talk of City potentially being relegated as far down as the fifth tier. This situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible—or a decision should be deferred until the season concludes—so that the Premier League does not suffer any negative impact in the meantime.

I agree to this, the earlier the better,  the more they delay the players will be under pressure,  I heard the players and the coach Enzo mascara will be addressing the players on the the Verdict after international break,  briefing them.on the development and to calm down , is good the players are aware of the Verdict and the punishment,  those that are willing to stay and fight with the club in this situation.

The punishment will not wait till end of this season,  other clubs has already file a case for the league management to give the desire punishment, it's better they say it now so they can adjust, put sending them to champions or first tier is so harsh , it will destroy the club, they should consider some elements that will favor the club too, let's wait and see the outcome of this case, this will serve as a warning to other clubs.

You will keep crying for all I care, you can either stop crying and allow the legal process to complete so that everyone will know the degree of punishment city will face if they fail at their appeal or we know how much the premier league will pay as damages to Manchester City for trying to ruin the reputation of the club. If the club is able to clear their name because the club is innocent. You talking of income jumping from $97m in 2017 to $227 in 2018. But you have forgotten that new sponsorship deals were signed the following year, and expiring sponsorship deals were renewed which ordinarily means the sponsorship income won’t remain the same.

Manchester City had just got the best manager in the world from Bayern Munich, and you think they won’t attract multimillion dollar sponsorship deals? Manchester City won’t take responsibility of other clubs that has failed in the business aspect to their clubs. Whatever infographics you guys keep bringing, it won’t change the fact that city are innocent according to the official statement of the club that the club chairman referred everyone to. Allow the legal process conclude. how are you angry rivals fans not understanding this?

By the way I thought the files released by Pinto the hacker revealed every information that the premier league needed, so why are you stressing further when the premier league that have access to every informations, said City cheated from 2009 to 2018. Why are you dragging us to the years that are not under review?

The potential punishments for City really do look very frightening. If we consider the worst possible outcomes, they could include expulsion from the Premier League and being stripped of all their titles, I think that would be the worst-case scenario for City.

Other less severe but still significant punishments could include a deduction of 40 to 60 points, which would almost certainly send them down to the Championship, as well as a huge fine. Honestly at first I didn’t think things could turn out to be this serious for City, but it looks like they might not get off that easily this time.

If I remember correctly, Chelsea received only one ban for violations related to underage player registration in 2019 - plus some relatively small fines. Correct me if I'm wrong. Of course, I mean actual bans, not suspended ones.

I agree these cases aren't identical, but both involve clubs that gained a serious advantage by breaking the rules.
And in my opinion, Chelsea got off lightly. Compare that punishment to Juventus's.

Well, you're right. The actual ban is one but the suspended ones can not be overlooked either. The fact that Chelsea appealed and got the ban suspended doesn't make it less punishment. They were fined at least, so basically they got punished either way. My only problem with your earlier statement is saying Chelsea got away with it.

Yes Juventus got points deduction but Chelsea have spent more than €10m as well and investigations are still ongoing. So my point is Chelsea have gotten the punishment they deserve and it not fair to say they get away with it.
A €10m fine. Are you kidding? They can't even buy a serious player for €10m. In 2017 they spent €245m on 18 players; in 2018, €200m on 6 players. (I'm too lazy to check - that's just the first link I googled, so maybe I'm mistaken.) Such a punishment is a mockery of the other teams.

If City get the same punishment, every other team should be allowed to do the same: pay $10m, serve a one-transfer-window ban, and buy players with no restrictions. At least five or six teams could easily pay $10m for terms like that.

For those you that are celebrating the city case and are so desperate to see Manchester City out of the way because they hold the key to your success in the Premier League.
Common bro, don't be blind folded by your emotions. Even if you are a City fan, you should atleast be rationale with your judgement. My younger bro is also a City fan as well yet he admitted that City is guilty in this case. Since they are guilty they should serve their punishment, don't blame it on any body. And you don't need to be afraid because their punishment may not be so severe as it is supposed to be (I mean that the chances are low that the punishment will be relegation or something similar).

Considering only the past decade, we can say Man City has become the most dominant club when it comes to domestic league, this alone makes them a massive broadcast asset. So speaking from a commercial point of view, it will be a disaster to the league as a whole if Man City is eventually relegated because of their offence. This will certainly lead to broadcast refund and it will also cost rival clubs millions in shared revenue, that means it is unlikely that the punishment will be that harsh.

This answer wasn't even for me but, to be honest, you're becoming quite annoying with this kind of posts. We understand you're a City fan but mocking other users won't change anything. Maybe just admit there is something extremely shady going on, don't you think?

Manchester City won’t take responsibility of other clubs that has failed in the business aspect to their clubs.
Actually if there is one club that failed the business aspect that was City, otherwise why did they have to cheat? If they knew how to properly do their job following the rules there would have been no cheating.

Are we still dragging this?  Cheesy

OK let look deeper. What was Juventus offence that got them points deduction? It was a financial fraud. They reported fake accounting, inflated player's transfer value and fake profit. These were deliberate action by Juventus and they deserve the punishment. Chelsea case involve player's registration (which I don't even consider as an offence) but they got punished for it anyway. We can not compare this two cases and expect a similar punishment for both teams.

Although, Chelsea has ongoing cases (a likely one that can be compared to Juventus' cases) because it directly involve financial reports. However, we can't say anything about it for now unless proven guilty. Perhaps, this is the angle you had been talking from since which made you firm on your belief that they got away with it? If I guess right, they didn't get away with it as investigation is still ongoing. I would support whatever punishment given to them if found guilty the same way I support city to be punished.

There will probably be a fine, but I think it will be much, much bigger. I think there will also be a significant points deduction on top of the fine. I think City can survive any fine and even a large points deduction, but if they are stripped of all their titles from those seasons, I don’t think they will be able to recover from that.

Any punishment that does not involve striping of title is just a mockery because there's no other punishment that will clearly leave a scar on them based on what they have done. Any amount of fine given to them will be paid by their UAE partners and they won't have anything to lose. Giving them one year transfer ban is also not enough because they can manage their players through that one year period and then come back to play a bigger foul. Let the premier league not play a game that will reshape how the fans see them , so they should focus more on striping them some titles and sending them to the relegation zone, fine does not make any much sense if no title is striped.

There are some few facts missing in this Chelsea's case—I've not looked into much details on the Juventus case. Chelsea wasn't given a lenient punishment because FA or whatever are trying to play favorite, no; they were given such leniency because of the following:

- They self reported the issue.
- They co-operated with the investigation.
- They wouldn't have breached EPL's sustainability and profitability rules either way.

Quote from: bbc
The club said: "From the outset of this process, the club has treated these matters with the utmost seriousness, providing full cooperation to all relevant regulators."

The Premier League said Chelsea would not have breached its Profitability and Sustainability rules during the applicable seasons, even if the payments had been registered and it therefore did not deem a points deduction to be an appropriate punishment.
(Source)

They wouldn't have found out if Chelsea hadn't self-reported the issue.

Quote from: bbc
The regulatory commission said: "Had the club not brought these matters to the attention of the FA, it is unlikely that they would have been discovered."
(Source)

These details should be considered before concluding that Chelsea's fine was unfair. The funny thing is that Mancity did and is doing the opposite of what Chelsea did to gain this lenient treatment. The worst of it is that Mancity refused to co-operate with the investigation—of course they won't, they have skeletons in their closet.

I never thought of this. Your point makes sense and might serve them well. But to think of it this way, if they were to be punished by stripping them of their titles, it might not really be the solution, because they need to be punished in a way that will affect them in the future, so that such a thing won't happen again, rather than focusing on the past, as that won't undo the celebrations that have already taken place or change their fanbase. So, that might be the reason why Manchester City have yet been punished, in my opinion, though.

In my opinion, Juventus were punished and Chelsea weren't. What I'm most afraid of is that Man City could get the same punishment as Chelsea.

The difference between Chelsea and Man City is that City were caught and Chelsea weren't. You're right here: Chelsea got off lightly for a less serious case, because the other cases weren't proven (again you're right). But we all understand the situation was the same.

There will probably be a fine, but I think it will be much, much bigger. I think there will also be a significant points deduction on top of the fine. I think City can survive any fine and even a large points deduction, but if they are stripped of all their titles from those seasons, I don’t think they will be able to recover from that.

It seems to me the opposite - they will easily pay any fine. Look, they spent over 600 million on transfers since winter, they couldn't care less about money. They could pay a billion-dollar fine and just carry on as usual. Stripping titles won't really change much either - after all, these are just "virtual" trophies that, once won, exist only in history and memories. A simple relegation is also nonsense (if they get into the Championship) - in a year they will return and continue their business as if nothing happened. To cure this cancer, they need to be expelled from the professional leagues, in my view, that would be a fair punishment (and a lesson to everyone else).

Well, let agree to disagree on whether Chelsea were punished or not. In my own view, they were punished for what was proven at that time. The €10m fine is too small for you to consider it as a punishment. I agree with you thou because that amount can't buy any useful player. That's all fine to me but I don't want us to compare the 3 cases as if the offence were all equal.

We are on the same page concerning city punishment. Personally, I would be disappointed if they end up getting the same punishment with Chelsea unless the commission wants to clearly show that they are bias. I don't expect the same punishment at all. If they get the same punishment then football is finally corrupt.

I just saw a little bit which proves that he was punished for it and some news says 10M€ and some says 10.75M€ so the amount of the punishment depends on one of them. Although this punishment is given because of his own mistake otherwise illegal money is not wasted in football. If Chelsea has managed to make such a mistake, have they paid for it or not? You are right, you don't get a good player for that much money but according to what they did wrong, they have received a loss. If you exaggerate it to 50M€ then it will be illegal. The management must have decided that if they supported Chelsea, they would not have punished even 10M€ but would have found another way. Obviously, they will have to pay the punishment for the crimes and all this will go through the fans and Chelsea will have been shocked by this amount once again.

If there is what is more than being demoted to championship they deserve it because they deceived everybody to hide in oil money from their new owners to be signing players illegally, they did that to dominate the league and was even about turning the premier league into a farmers league because they won it back to back to back which is usually rear in the premier league history, and now politics is involved and they are trying to get some favors which to me is not supposed to be like that.
As others who were find guilty are punished, Manchester City deserved to be punished accordingly because if they go Scot free, other teams will make an attempt and might also go free.
