You could have a source of income and still be unable to figure out any discretionary funds depending on how things are on you, maybe your responsibility couldn't let you figure out any discretionary funds, that's why we can't just say that one needs a source of income to start investing in Bitcoin.

We don't need a source of income to start accumulating Bitcoin, although it is preferable and good to have a source of income, but it's not necessary for you to have it in order to accumulate or invest in Bitcoin.

It’s true that you can have a source of income and not have a discretionary funds for investments because of several reasons but I agree with you that it doesn’t stop investors from investing because any other source of income either what is earned or gifted can be used for discretionary funds, so individuals source of income can take care of their essential needs but have nothing else to spare for discretionary funds but other funds received in form of gift or appreciation or in any other legitimate means can be used as discretionary funds for your investment.

Waiting to invest only with money received from gifts or such sources is never a sign of a real investor. Those who employ long-term Bitcoin investors must invest from their discretionary income. In that case, no matter how small their discretionary income is, they try to manage DCA with them. Yes, if they get extra money from gifts or such sources at some point, they can make aggressive purchases with it.
And if you are saying that even if a person does not have any discretionary income, if they get money from gifts or other sources, they can buy Bitcoin with them. Yes, they can, but it must be ensured that the investor was not in any kind of financial crisis before. If the entire part of the amount that someone earns is used to meet basic needs. There is no money left or there is no money shortage, in such a situation, Bitcoin can be purchased with gift money. However, I would say that those whose income is like this, if they work a little harder, they can invest in Bitcoin with the part that they can earn more.

Or once a quarter, or once a week, or instead of a regular period, something like 'everytime I have $50 savings in my DCA pot, I buy BTC' that's the beauty of the whole thing, right?~

Absolutely. If you are doing it only with money that you can easily afford to lose and it brings you pleasure, why not? People who were doing it 10 years ago can now enjoy the results. Is there anything that brings you pleasure now and lets you enjoy the results afterwards, apart from making kids, of course?

I don't know which kids you had experience with but the way I see people around me making kids, they don't seem to enjoy lol (in the country I live in most people have kids, both parents have careers and there is a permanent nanny taking care of all the kids they even made an ad about it that mothers didn't know their kids as well as the nannies).

For me its health. I exercise more, spend no time on social media except for this forum (to contact teams for events). It is pleasurable to focus on life and I enjoy the mental results.

Trading BTC I would lump into this same category. Switch to DCA, enjoy the pleasure now, enjoy the results afterwards Smiley

Yes I can agree with you that someone can have a source of income but still can not be able to figure out his discretionary funds for his Bitcoin investment no doubt about that. Perhaps, that can mainly happened when the responsibilities of the said person is way more bigger than the total in flow or the income of the person in question. And this is the more reasons many people can barely survive through their investment journey.

Again, talking of the fact that we don't need a source of income before we can investing in Bitcoin is something I can barely agree with you. Because when we have a tangible source of income, this is an additional advantage to any investors,  and this can aid up things in his investment journey without much stress.  Yes, no doubt about your opinion, but I suggest that an investor with a source of income is very more comfortable or flexible than someone that doesn't have any, thus only depend on gifts or promises from friends or families that isn't always as steady as when with a steady source of survival. this is something I can not subscribe to especially when I have plans on embarking on a long term investment plan.

Anyone can make profits investing in Bitcoin, but that’s if they’re willing to play by the rules. First of all, Bitcoin is a long term asset, so if you must make profits from it, either as a big or small investor, you need to invest with the same long term mindset, else you might simply end up incurring losses for yourself.
You are saying things as if an investor is guaranteed to make a profit if they have a long-term mindset. Of course, a long-term mindset is important in Bitcoin investment. However, I think you have taken the idea of following the investment rules and actually reaching a profitable position a little too lightly. You may have started buying Bitcoin with a long-term goal. But there is no guarantee that your financial situation will remain the same throughout the investment period. You may have been buying Bitcoin regularly, but after a few months your income decreased or some necessary expense came up, for which you may have to sell the accumulated Bitcoin. In this case, your investment will not be successful despite your long-term mindset.

Personally, I think it is more important, especially for new investors, to focus on accumulating Bitcoin according to your financial capacity and strengthening your cash flow, rather than focusing too much on profits from the beginning.

First of all, Bitcoin is a long term asset, so if you must make profits from it, either as a big or small investor, you need to invest with the same long term mindset, else you might simply end up incurring losses for yourself.
Bitcoin is safe for long-term investment and if an investor can continue investing according to plan and consistently, then there is a possibility of good profit from this investment in the future. Many times we have many misconceptions about investment, but if we think about investment simply, then we will think that investment is actually not that difficult.
For example, if an investor thinks that he will invest and if his intention is to continue for a long time, then he can adopt DCA for this investment. At the same time, he can use discretionary income while doing DCA. Because by doing DCA with discretionary income, the investor will be able to continue it easily and will be able to hold it for a long time.

Long term investment is easier said than done, the fact that an investor is investing with the DCA and buying bitcoin with a discretionary income doesn’t make it easier for him to invest and hold it comfortably for long term. An investor needs some financial cushion in the course of his bitcoin accumulation, an emergency funds to keep the investment safe during emergency situations so that he doesn’t end up selling his bitcoin investment when he’s in emergency position requiring money to solve.
An investor Investing only when there is a discretionary income has given enough flexibilities as to making the investment process easier, including creating the various back of funds such as the emergency funds, floating and reserve funds, in this case his investment can become easier. One important enabling factor too is a good cash flow management as this will ensure good allocation of funds. Investment is not easy and while patient is also an important factor needed for the investment to grow to it's potential, most people lack this patient even after doing other things right.

Yes, when someone is willing to hold Bitcoin for the long term, they have a good chance of making  profit. However, it is not guaranteed that everyone who holds Bitcoin for the long term will make a profit, because we are only using past records to predict what might happen in the future. So, even if someone holds Bitcoin for the long term, there is no guarantee that they will make a profit, although the chances of making a profit are high based on Bitcoin's past records of Bitcoin.Again, it is not only about holding; if someone buys Bitcoin, they also need to ensure proper security for their investment. There are some people who will continue accumulating Bitcoin without moving it to a well-secured wallet. These are the kinds of people who risk losing their Bitcoin even while holding it for the long term.

Bitcoin is safe for long-term investment and if an investor can continue investing according to plan and consistently, then there is a possibility of good profit from this investment in the future.
I would advise you to build your position in Bitcoin regularly, according to your ability, without worrying about excess profits at the beginning. If you weaken your cash flow by calculating excess profits at the beginning, it may not be the right decision for you. Even calculating excess profits at the beginning can sometimes turn an investor into a trader very quickly when the price increases. I am not talking about everyone, but there is a possibility that you may break your Bitcoin collection if you see some profit while calculating excess profits.

Because by doing DCA with discretionary income, the investor will be able to continue it easily and will be able to hold it for a long time.
There is no guarantee that you will be able to hold your investment for a long time by following the DCA strategy. Naturally, there is no guarantee that your financial situation will remain the same. You may be earning a regular income now and buying Bitcoin after meeting all the necessary expenses. But if you lose your job, have medical expenses, or increase your family responsibilities in the future, your income and expenditure balance may change. Again, if you follow DCA with money that you may need in the next few months, then just because you are buying using the DCA method, it does not mean that you will be able to hold it for a long time. Then you may be forced to sell at a loss. DCA basically gives you the opportunity to buy regularly according to your ability. But if someone goes too far, then even if he does DCA, he may not be able to hold it for a long time.
