I did an analysis myself and I think that Argentina doesn't have many talented players except Messi. If you want to list talented players, Julián Alvarez's name will come first. Apart from that, Lautaro Martínez and Giuliano Simeone will come, but these two players don't know much politeness on the football field. They behave rudely more than their own talent, so I don't think they will go very far.

Argentina needs to be led by Alvarez or if another talented player is born. The future of Argentina without Messi is not very bright, maybe we will have to wait for another talented player for several more years. The number of legendary players like Messi is very few in the world, if he retires, the football world will miss him very much.
Please I want understand something here, can explain to me what you mean by talented players, them mention Argentina players that you think are not talented?
Do you actually watch football? This question came as a result of what you said, it is unbelievable to me, that someone that do watch football will say this, are you referring to the Argentina that we all know or is there any other Argentina that I don't know, if you must know, from the keeper last man in Argentina team are all quality and talented players, how did you do the analysis to come up with this result of yours? I'm asking because I'm very surprised.

Depends on how long you have been watching the World Cup, but to some of us. 2026 was just not that enjoyable, and the rigging was even slap right in our faces. Maybe 2022 was OK save for the politics that was trying to creep into the game thanks to some European nations like Germany. I mean, the Finale gave us everything we dreamt of

I don't care who reaches the semi-finals or finals, but all I wish for is the beautiful game to be played with no stupid propaganda or political interference and, most importantly, promote unity across the globe.

Absolutely, football is a people's sport, football deserves to be simple, it deserves to be beautiful and it deserves to be able to be seen by everyone. Therefore political, economic, or interference from federations or sponsors have nothing to do with naked football. That must be seen only in the 90 minutes of the pitch and with a round ball played by 22 players on the pitch. The rest has nothing to do with it.
Your idea is not correct. Football is certainly a means of entertainment and there are countless football fans in the world and to capitalize on this popularity, politics, economy and sponsorship are all involved. In fairness you may not want to involve politics in football but in reality it has been in the past and will be in the future. If you consider the current period, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, US President Donald Trump, politics, economy, sponsorship, all these things are related to each other.

I agree with you. all the players of Argentina play well enough. If they don't play well, they are playing the finals of the FIFA World Cup twice in a row and where they have won the World Cup once. They played well enough in the World Cup with France. There, Martinez won the World Cup with his single-handed skill. On the other hand, Mac Allister, who plays in the midfield, cannot be called an out of form player in any way. He is playing well in the club as well as in the national team. And I see Lautaro Martinez and Alvarez as game changers. Messi brings out the best output through them. On the other hand, Messi is the best player of all time, who is incomparable. He is a big blessing for the Argentina team, no doubt about it. So, over all, the Argentina team is a good team. Everyone plays equally well. And Argentina will play well enough in the future. And in the next World Cup, I want them to give more excited matches.

Argentina before Messi also was a team that never lacked talented players, so I think even in the next World Cup where Messi might no longer be there, Argentina will still be a favorite in every edition of the World Cup. Especially now, Argentina has many talented players, so even if Messi retires, it won't change Argentina status as a favorite team. Of course, having Messi gives Argentina an advantage because he is a star player with a big influence, but still without Messi, Argentina remains Argentina a team that cannot be underestimated.

I even think in the next 4 years other talented players will emerge, especially in the position Messi leaves behind. I mean, Argentina is not just about Messi Argentina is a team that plays collectively. Besides that Argentina can still get stronger when their star players retire as we have seen in the past.

Everything has passed, and all the countries will be preparing for the upcoming competition. The next World Cup will be a new chapter for every country. The Argentina team is one of the best right now, as are France and Spain. I just hope other big countries like Italy will also be back playing in the World Cup.

And in the next World Cup, I want them to give more excited matches.
But I really can't imagine how much better Argentina can do in the future, Lionel Messi was 50% behind Argentina reaching the final in this World Cup, but in the future they will have to play without their biggest strength. Now it is difficult to say how far Argentina can go without Messi. Although it is true that every player in the team is a good talented player, such as Enzo Fernández, Julián Alvarez, Lautaro Martínez, they are very good players, but Messi was one of the players in Argentina whose void is difficult to fill.
The other teams are getting stronger, the competition will increase in the future, France, England, Spain, they will be stronger, but the main question is how far Argentina can go with losing their biggest strength.

I don't know where he got that analysis from but it's wrong, Argentina national team is filled with many talents which is why they're very competitive, maybe he forgot that they won the World Cup before this and where finalist in this one that just ended, i doubt if they would've done if they lacked talented players.

Even before Messi there was Maradona, and other great players, there's still talented players in all corners of the team currently, after Messi retires there would still be talents that would keep them going, Argentina has never lacked talents in their national team throughout their history so his statement is wrong.

Football has changed dramatically over time. Old tactical systems no longer work as well as they once did. Today, advanced football practices are concentrated primarily in European clubs. This, incidentally, is confirmed by Spain's victory at the recent World Cup.

Incidentally, Brazilian players are currently actively playing for European clubs and adopting European football practices. I can name many excellent modern Brazilian footballers. However, it has not yet been possible to ensure that all these outstanding players play within a unified system. Perhaps a thorough analysis of the Spanish national team's performance at the World Cup will help resolve this issue.💁

Of course modern day football is completely different. It is played more systematic these days and this is just limiting players from playing more independently. We see them trying to use their special one-on-one skills less often.

Instead a passing-focused football is seen the most and teamwork is everything. I don't say this is completely bad though. But I really miss the times with Ronaldinho, prime Neymar and so on. It was really a football feast with great skill moves. Roll Eyes

Guys I just saw on X that Cristiano Ronaldo is admitting that this yar will probably be his last year like after this year he will hand out his boot and close his professional football for the rest of his life. I know it's a bit hard moment of all of us that a players who give a lot of fun to the football will no longer here to represent the greatness of football......

However age is big factor and definitely this world cup make him feel more distracted and that's why he is now  acknowledging that I am no longer a young man and leaving a football will be a better place. Cristiano Ronaldo has extraordinary career like he came as nothing and give a lot to football and even made a history that struggle can catch every point.

FIFA have entered politics for a long period of time now. Especially during the tenure of Havelange according to the report by Zeteo in his documentary. He was the one whom under his administration was said to have hobnobbing with politicians and also made FIFA more of a commercial game targeting companies like this. He also extended the baton to Sepp Blatter who was also said to be hobnobbing with politicians and other global powers too including the current Gianni Infantino.

Argentina has proven how bad they are in this game. You will see that they have not been able to treat the opposition well in most of their matches. They were even worse against Spain. I am not sure if Argentina actually received help from FIFA President Infantino. But the way the referee supported Argentina during the game against Egypt made me think that FIFA probably helped Argentina a lot. But I saw in a report that FIFA President Infantino said that they did not help Argentina in any way. Even according to him, if someone helped the referee or someone outside the field in any way, that is a different matter.

By all the human measurements,Cristiano Ronaldo is still a young man who has to enjoy life rather than cry, because he might want to prolong his career, as the coach of one Portuguese team. In any case, he has already etched his name into the history of football, just as the legendary Portuguese striker Eusebio did in his time.

I truly hope also Brazil will achieve a better result in 2030, but my fear is that Ancelotti will not be enough to keep the morale of the players high. Endrick showed great potential in my opinion, but Neymar will be out and there still isn't a good replacement. Brazilians are also a bit on the sad side after the last 2 WC.

I can't really agree with you.
You can't call a team that has played in the finals 3 times in the last 4 World Cups and won the World Cup once a bad team.
It's also an exaggeration to claim that they achieved their successes due to the help of the referees, and all based on 1 match with Egypt.
Argentina has been in a difficult situation many times at this World Cup, especially against Egypt and England, but they have shown character every time, they haven't given up, and they have managed to turn the game around and win.
Of course, everything is easier when you have a football wizard like Messi in your team who can solve the game on his own.
Argentina is truly a team that has impressed me with their fighting spirit and never-give-up attitude, and they should be congratulated for that, even though the better team definitely won the final.
However, I don't think it's realistic to expect Messi to play in another World Cup, 2030 and without him Argentina is just another average team and no longer a candidate for a medal.
At the 2030 World Cup, I expect Spain to once again be the main favorite for gold, with their main competitors likely to be France again and possibly England.

Argentina for me has 2 players that truly made the difference: Messi and Martinez. Messi we all know why, but Martinez in the WC in Qatar has done an excellent job by distracting the French players during the penalties, it's really difficult to have a goalkeeper that make such difference.

I'm telling this cause usually the defense players don't get much attention, since they don't score, but in WC is very easy to go to penalties and Dibu really made THE difference.

And Scaloni seems a skilled coach that also has an heart, as we all have seen during the press conferences  Smiley

It is not unusual for various kinds of  rumours  to be created. Argentina is a World Cup winning team and has the greatest player like Messi, and the rest of the Argentine players are performing quite well. Considering these things, I don't think Argentina needs to get extra benefits. And FIFA would never want them to give any team a special advantage and lose people's trust in them. And the decisions made in Argentina's match against Egypt were made according to FIFA rules. So I don't think there is any need to debate that. Some irresponsible news publications and some celebrities who are related to football irresponsibly gave some messages on social media at that time that went against Argentina and FIFA . But I don't understand how they expressed such an attitude at that time even though they knew the rules.  there is no way for debate that Argentina played badly in the final. And if FIFA had given them an extra advantage, they would have tried to make them win the final as well, but they didn't play well in the final and even received a red card.

Well, form match day one to til final I was pretty obvious that only one guys is just carrying the whole team like only Messi were the man to rescue his team in every single match. He was the top scorer of his team as well as he was the top assister of the tournament and even he was the only man to create more chances than others. Except Lionel Messi no one was that good to defend his team like in entire tournament only Messi were the core point....

But still they got failed and I think it's okay for Messi but not for Argentina because Messi did everything with satisfied root despite Argentina didn't help him to win the final for him. He sacrifices his whole career for Argentina team but they didn't give him any good time.
