I would like to add two more areas to your examples of transportation and agriculture, healthcare and construction work. Just like food, people always need a good doctor, nurse, and pharmacist to stay healthy. Many professions related to healthcare will be in demand for a long time, although their work style may change due to technology. Construction work, people are increasing day by day in the world, the demand for housing and people is increasing. So there is a long-term demand for construction and repair work. For example, houses, roads, bridges, factories, and various infrastructures have to be built and maintained, so there is also a long-term demand for construction and repair work.
Ultimately, times will change, technology will change, but the value of works built around basic human needs can endure in many cases.
These fields of work no doubt will always be required, however technology goes forward so fast, that to do same job, number of employees always decreases. I cant wait when AI will be addition to doctors and it will decrease patients lines. In the past there were need a good number of people to cultivate fields, now 1-2 persons with special machinery and technology has replaced many. Good example are pharmacists also. Many years ago, people of that profession were similar to doctors. You could name your diagnose or problems, and pharmacist will give you medicine. Now people look everything online, get medicine recipes online and pharmacists play roles of sellers only.

With the challenging or competitive situation we find ourselves today, i have come to realise that skills are more better than jobs. It is of more disadvantage if one depends on jobs when we know we are in a competitive environment where their are many people ready to take over once position incase of emergency but is not so it has to do with once skil. A skilled person has an upper hand when we talk of meeting ends need because it will be difficult finding an employee with same level of experience if need be. Currently today many jobs are fading away because of advancement in technology but it is not so in skills, instead personels will also advance same way technology is doing.

Yes, especially when you learn different skills maybe 3-4 different skills. if they don't call you for the first they will probably call for the second or third that's if you're well known. the reason why most folks would prefer job over skill is due to the fact that it takes some time before they can actually call you for skill but as for the job you're doing it continuously. Personally with the way the economy is and also the experience I had from a friend I would prefer skill over job, I have a friend who spent 4-5 years in company work yet he could not achieve anything because the pay is not much, those who are at home learning skills is even better because before the end up the month they must have work in 3-4 different places and that's how they are getting money. While those who are working under company will still have to wait till month ends and that's how their expenses will keep compounding.

There are lots of advancement in technology today that are contributing the why people loss there jobs Having skills is not enough for anybody to fold there hands and relax because as technology improves skilled workers also needs to know how to use the tools to improve there skills for better result. Any one waiting to be employed at this time could be that they are not ready to pull the bull by the horn or find it difficult learn new things to increase tomorrow betterment. As a skilled personal you have your time to your self, creats job opportunities and makes there decisions all by themselves.

Skill is what will make a way for you and you don't even have to go find a job, you can create your own job and make life easier for you and your employees. Getting a job without a professional skill can make a man to become vulnerable to his employer and can later turn to slavery work because the fear of leaving the job to go find a better job will cause for questioning and over thinking. With skill, getting employed might be for some time so you can gather money you can use to start up your own business with time.

Lack of technical skills makes competition less obvious. Although these areas are extremely demanding, their advantage lies indeed that these professions ensure one long life career.
Yes, and things are moving fast in that direction now. Beyond standard market competition, AI will increasingly replace jobs we least expect, which raises the bar for everyone. That shift translates to higher pressure, stiffer competition, and the necessity to adapt or learn new skills just to keep up and maintain a stable living. The world is undeniably getting tougher, especially from an economic standpoint, and that creates a lot of financial stress. But since this is where the market is heading, we have to adapt and start planning ahead now to secure long-term stability. Professions like programming, mastering AI tools, and staying at the forefront of technical fields are among the few areas that can ensure continued career relevance. At the same time, this transition will inevitably open up entirely new industries and professions that we can't even imagine yet.

The key thing here you are missing is adaptability. Humans will always want food. So how the job is done will just evolve, so it is left for the farmer to evolve too. Machines will be operated to get things done, so if one is still using cutlass and hoe to work, soon he will be out of work because no one might employ him. It's not that jobs will go away, they will just be upgraded. It's left for you to evolve with it.

There are also bigger questions, e.g., what happens to all the displaced workers when AI has taken their jobs? How are they going to support themselves? Stuff like that gives my brain an icky feeling and makes me want to stop pondering it immediately.
For now, people who are replaced by AI will be hurt, but with time (as in generations later), things will even out. Humans will learn to work with AI. I often use the example of the internet. I wasn't there, but I know people lost their jobs when the internet was getting bigger. Today, everybody is working with the internet. During the transition phase, people get hurt. The only problem now is corporations are not allowing the process to flow naturally. They're rushing it, and it's because of profit. The world today is so profit-oriented, so they don't mind skipping a few steps while they look for ways to justify their decisions. I believe more jobs or opportunities will be created through AI in time, but for now, in these early periods, coupled with greed of people, a lot of people will get hurt by it. Good luck to the young folks just entering the workforce (or trying to). I mean that sincerely, because the job market isn't what it was even 5-10 years ago.
I don't think it's that bad for them. If they are still young, they can learn and adapt. It's hard, but not as hard as it will be for people in their 30s and 40s who will have to be laid off. At that stage of your life, it's very difficult to start all over in something else. The younger generation have time to figure things out.

I do agree that adjusting to changes of circumstances is important and technology will certainly change the character of work. There is a difference however between the change in working methods and everybody can just change jobs. A farmer could be trained to use modern farm machinery but if the technology means fewer jobs are needed on the farm, that doesn't mean that everyone who loses his or her previous job will have a new one. The real issues, then are the creation of new types of work on a fast enough time scale and whether they will be adopted by the labour market. But can people who are losing their jobs have the skills and opportunities to go into these new jobs? Although employment may never go out of style employment might be a major issue for certain groups of people at this point in technological shifts. Adaptation is only a part of the solution and isn't the only argument.

Not all farmers can afford to have machines in their farm, those that can’t afford having machineries in their farm will hire those that can work with cutlass and hoe. This is how it has been for decades and I don’t see it changing for many decades to come. Even if such persons don’t have work in other peoples farms because they all upgraded to use of machines they can’t operate, those people can have their own farm where they can grow their own crops and produce their own food and have the ones to sell in the market. Anyone who have farming skills is always at advantage.

I need your help, coming from a newbie please don't mind. What are the list of jobs that will forever survives?
Even it doesn't have to be a job, just something that is a fuel of money, something that will never die and if ones skill is based around it such space will never die.
The only one I can come up with is stock market, the end of stock market means the end of the world, maybe if a might omnipotent nuke get released into the world.
Stocks can never die and just imagine if one is good at trading stocks, they will never go out of business. What do you think is qualified for the list?
You are right but If you are good at trading stocks, you will never go out of business but trading is not a beginner job. It is a rich man’s skills it needs capital. If you have no money trading will frustrate you. As a newbie you need to have a cash flow like; barber, farming, electrical work, etc…for survival.

To succeed in trading having adequate capital and the mental capacity to handle risk is just as important as possessing technical skills. Trading with borrowed money or funds meant for daily living expenses increases the likelihood of making poor decisions due to stress by 90% often leading traders to make costly errors and face financial ruin. Therefore it is wise for a new trader to maintain a steady cash flow from a stable primary profession. This serves as a safety net for trading helping the trader stay in the market even during periods of loss. Ideally trading capital should be built up gradually from this stable income to minimize risk.

Firstly I want to say that no jobs can actually fade away, even down to those that repairs bicycle, as long as problem exists, solution will always exist as well, no skills is a waste, and none of it will fade away, you just need to constantly upgrade your skills, so you don't end up getting replaced, every job or skill is important in this life, yes, some kills are meant to make you really rich, while others won't really get you that level of wealth that you were told or imagine. This is why I will advise you to upgrade your skill instead, learn new things, be intentional about your job, do it professionally and diligently. As long as there is still an existing car, there will be a mechanic.

In our time, many people in our country are using what is trending and this is what they use as a tool to generate profit. And one of these is the social media platform, especially using the AI technology that is available now to make the quality of what they do better.
And we can see this in the content of content creators on how they earn money, aside from this, it can also used in any traditional business and other things, even in government offices around the world today.

Some jibs will fade away surely, it was always like this. But for me If you build something that solves an actual problem for people (not just chasing trends), it doesn’t fade the same way a job does.

I think that the need for some jobs will never completely disappear. No matter how modern people are, everyone needs food. Now, of course, there have been many changes in agriculture. A lot of agricultural work is being done with big machines, drones, and even AI. But a farmer who has been farming for many years understands the condition of his land very well. When to water, what to do if there is a problem with the crop, he can understand a lot from his work experience. Again, many farmers in our country cultivate on small land. It is not possible for them to buy such expensive machines. So no matter how much technology comes in agriculture, the importance of the farmer's own experience and hard work is still very high.
Again, think about an electrician, plumber, or car mechanic. If there is a problem with the electricity line at home or if the water pipe bursts, the problem will not be fixed just by looking up the solution on your mobile phone. Someone or the other will have to go there and do the work.
However, I will not say that there is no fear of losing jobs in these professions. Where ten workers used to work on land, now two or three can complete a lot of work with the help of machines. So the need for work and the demand for people for that work are not the same thing. I think that just learning one job will no longer work. The way many jobs were done before, now the type of work is also changing. So it is necessary to make a habit of learning new things. As long as people live, they will need food, if they get sick, they will need treatment, if there is a problem at home, they will also need people to fix it. However, just because there is a demand for these jobs, it does not mean that everyone will get work like before. So it is good to learn how to use new equipment in addition to doing the jobs you know.

It's difficult nowadays to recommend any kind of job without knowing the person's skills. It's very hard to determine; everything depends on what we know how to do or what we can learn to do. If you ask me for advice, I'd say go into the world of programming, as those are the most in-demand jobs right now. But for that, you have to take courses and practice for at least eight months, depending on your learning pace.
I mention programming because on any job platform, they are constantly looking for developers, full-stack Java developers, Backend + AI developers, among others. It takes time to learn, but once you get the hang of it, you can start getting paid.

Electrician, plumber, welder, furniture, hairstylist, banking services, tailoring etc, no matter the technology and Ai these skills will live with man forever, they are very essential in our day to day life and we need them to progress in life. If you have these skills be assured you will never be jobless as far as you stay in life. Whenever someone close or friends seek foe a skill that will allows be needed recommend them to these skills, technology can only help to facilitate the services for it can't stop human for operation.
Before internet, there was post office were people go to drop letters, when email came on board, many post office workers lost their jobs, their services were not longer needed because with the internet everyone can send mail and receive reply within a second.

Some professions in the construction industry will never disappear, but because these are labor-intensive sectors, they rank among the most challenging professions. Additionally, those who want to do this work need to have good manual dexterity. I love the construction industry. Humans have been building structures for 12,000 years. Have you seen Göbekli Tepe? That’s where the history of construction begins. Construction is an industry that has never stopped, but has constantly evolved and been renewed over the past 12,000 years. Whether it’s rough work or fine work, it’s a sector that has always reinvented itself. If I were to be born again, I would want to be a civil engineer.

Skills is better but the advantage isn't just about the skills alone but less attention, if everyone is skillful today it will be hard on everyone too because there will be alot of people seeking for online jobs and others, since everyone is skillful it wouldn't be hard for companies to hire someone. We can't all be good at one thing, there should be some balance and that's why we have different type of niches, a skillful person has upper hand because others don't know what he knows.
